Manchester City 5-2 Crystal Palace

Despite being 2-0 down at one point, it was Manchester City who came back to pick up a key 3 points! After less than 8 minutes, Crystal Palace already had the lead as Eberechi Eze tapped home into an empty net following a great ball cross from Ismaila Sarr! Omar Marmoush was then fouled inside the penalty area, but the referee waved it away before Palace had a second in the 21st minute through Chris Richards! Ederson should’ve done an awful lot better here! Kevin De Bruyne was then unlucky as his effort curled onto the post before Eberechi Eze thought he’d made it 3-0, but his goal was ruled out for offside! In the 33rd minute, Manchester City had one back thanks to a great free kick by Kevin De Bruyne before it was 2-2 just 3 minutes later as Omar Marmoush smashed the ball home! Just 2 minutes into the Second Half, and Man City were now ahead as Mateo Kovacic finished well before James McAtee made it 4-2 in the 56th minute! And then, in the 79th minute, City had their 5th as Nico O’Reilly got himself another goal from left back! Overall, this was a big result for Manchester City! City rise to 5th in the league and they head to Everton next time out! As for Crystal Palace, they started the game so well, but they just couldn’t keep up with their opponents! The Eagles drop to 12th in the table and they head to Newcastle tomorrow night before they host Bournemouth on Saturday!
Wolves 4-2 Tottenham

After less than 2 minutes, Wolves already had the lead thanks to a nice finish by Rayan Ait Nouri before Jorgen Strand Larsen had a golden chance to make it 2-0, but he somehow managed to miss the target! In the 38th minute, it was 2-0 to Wolves as Djed Spence scored a pretty terrible-looking own goal before Tottenham had one back in the 59th minute through Mathys Tel! I have to say, the defending for all of these goals have been woeful! Speaking of terrible defending, Cristian Romero was at it next to gift Jorgen Strand Larsen a third before Spurs had another back in the 85th minute courtesy of Richarlison! However, just a minute later, and the game was finally wrapped up for Wolves as Matheus Cunha scored on his return! Overall, this was a positive day for Wolverhampton Wanderers! Amazingly, Wolves rise to 16th in the table and they head to Manchester United next time out! As for Tottenham Hotspur, they were a complete shambles here! Spurs drop to 15th in the league and they head to Frankfurt on Thursday followed by a Monday Night Football clash with Nottingham Forest!
Newcastle 4-1 Manchester United

Newcastle United’s strong run of form continued with a 4-1 thrashing of Manchester United! Joshua Zirkzee had a decent effort early on which was saved well by Nick Pope before Newcastle had the lead in the 24th minute through Sandro Tonali! This was a fantastic goal! Altay Bayindir then pulled out a decent save to stop Alexander Isak from making it 2-0 before Manchester United were level in the 37th minute thanks to a great finish by Alejandro Garnacho! Just 4 minutes into the Second Half, though, and Newcastle were back in front through Harvey Barnes before Barnes scored again to make it 3-1 after 64! This was far too easy for Barnes! And then, in the 77th minute, after a terrible pass by Altay Bayindir, Newcastle had their 4th as Bruno Guimaraes slotted the ball home! Overall, it’s another storming win for Newcastle United! The Magpies soar to 4th in the league and they host Crystal Palace tomorrow followed by a massive away trip to Aston Villa! As for Manchester United, it’s insane how poor they are! United drop to 14th in the table and they host Lyon in a massive Europa League clash on Thursday followed by Wolves on Sunday!
Chelsea 2-2 Ipswich

Despite being 2-0 up, Ipswich Town weren’t able to hold on to a shock win at Chelsea! Nicolas Jackson had a great opportunity to give Chelsea the lead early on, but his effort came flying back off the post before Ipswich had the lead after just 19 minutes through Julio Enciso! In the 31st minute, it was 2-0 to Ipswich as Ben Johnson headed home following a great ball in by Enciso! Less than a minute into the Second Half though, and Chelsea had one back thanks to an Axel Tuanzebe own goal before Jadon Sancho scored a great goal to make it 2-2 with 11 minutes remaining! Chelsea then had multiple great chances to win the game, but they were denied by a terrific Alex Palmer! In the end, this is 2 points dropped for Chelsea! The Blues drop to 6th in the table and they host Legia Warszawa on Thursday followed by an away trip to Fulham! As for Ipswich Town, they’ll be gutted that they weren’t able to hold onto their lead! The Tractor Boys remain inside the Relegation Zone (in 18th) and they host Arsenal next time out!
Brighton 2-2 Leicester

Yankuba Minteh had a golden opportunity to give Brighton the lead early on, but he somehow managed to miss from about 3 yards out before Brighton were awarded a penalty after a handball by Conor Coady! It was Joao Pedro who then stepped up and scored to give Brighton the lead after 31 minutes! Simon Adingra then had a great chance to make it 2-0 which he could only strike the crossbar with before Leicester were level in the 38th minute through Stephy Mavididi! I do feel like Bart Verbruggen should be saving this! Matthew O’Riley then had a good opportunity to score which he could only strike the post with before Brighton were awarded another penalty, which Joao Pedro once again dispatched! However, in the 74th minute, Leicester were back on level terms thanks to a strong header by Memeh Caleb Okoli! Bilal El Khannouss then came close to winning the game for the visitors, but his effort could only come back out off the post! In the end, of course Brighton and Hove Albion didn’t win this game! The Seagulls drop to 10th in the table and they head to Brentford next time out! As for Leicester City, their losing streak is finally over! The Foxes remain inside the Relegation Zone (in 19th) and their next game sees them host Liverpool on Sunday!
Southampton 0-3 Aston Villa

Cameron Archer had a decent chance to give Southampton the lead in the First Half, but his effort was comfortably saved by Emiliano Martinez before Aston Villa were awarded a penalty in the Second Half after Jan Bednarek wiped out Ollie Watkins! However, Marco Asensio stepped up and saw his penalty saved by Aaron Ramsdale before, just 4 minutes later, Aston Villa did finally have the lead through Ollie Watkins! This was a superb team goal! In the 79th minute, it was 2-0 as Donyell Malen fired home before Villa were awarded another penalty after Jack Stephens committed a foul! Marco Asensio then stepped up and once again saw his penalty saved by Ramsdale, but John McGinn was there to follow up on the rebound! In the end, it’s another defeat for Southampton! The Saints remain bottom of the league and they head to West Ham next time out! As for Aston Villa, they got the job done here! Villa rise to 5th in the table and they have a massive week ahead with home games against PSG and Newcastle!
Liverpool 2-1 West Ham

A late winner ensured Liverpool extended their gap over the rest of the field! After just 18 minutes, Liverpool had the lead through Luis Diaz, and even though I do think Alphonse Areola’s positioning could’ve been better here, the ball across from Mohamed Salah was on point! Alisson then managed to pull off a great save to tip Mohammed Kudus’ effort onto the crossbar before Konstantinos Mavropanos had a good opportunity which he failed to keep down! In the Second Half, Alexis Mac Allister was unlucky as his free kick effort smashed the crossbar before Jarrod Bowen had a good chance to score, but he couldn’t beat Alisson! In the 86th minute, West Ham found themselves back on level terms as Andy Robertson scored an unfortunate own goal, but just 3 minutes later, and Liverpool’s lead would be restored courtesy of Virgil van Dijk! Niklas Fullkrug then came super close to getting West Ham back on level terms, but his headed effort could only hit the crossbar! Overall, it’s a win for Liverpool, but only just! The Reds remain top of the league and they head to Leicester this weekend! As for West Ham United, they could’ve and maybe should’ve gotten something from this game. The Hammers drop to 17th in the table and they host Southampton next time out!
Arsenal 1-1 Brentford

Christian Norgaard committed a pretty poor foul on Gabriel Martinelli, but only a Yellow Card was shown before Kristoffer Vassbakk Ajer pulled out a great block to stop Martinelli’s effort from flying into the back of the net! Mark Flekken was then forced to pull out a couple of decent saves to keep the game at 0-0 before Arsenal finally had the lead in the 61st minute through Thomas Partey! However, in the 74th minute, Brentford were back on level terms as Yoane Wissa managed to turn the ball home! In the end, it’s not the result that Arsenal would’ve been expecting! The Gunners remain second in the league and they face Real Madrid at the Bernabeu tomorrow night followed by a trip to Ipswich! As for Brentford, they’ll be happy with this point! The Bees rise to 11th in the table and they host Brighton next time out!
Bournemouth 1-0 Fulham

After less than 60 seconds, Bournemouth already had the lead as Antoine Semenyo fired them ahead with a good goal! Evanilson then had a golden chance to make it 2-0 which he could only smash the crossbar with before Rodrigo Muniz had a decent opportunity which he terribly dragged well wide! Ryan Sessegnon then had a good opportunity to score which he could only head into the hands of Kepa Arrizabalaga before Bernd Leno made a decent save to deny Alex Scott! In the Second Half, Alex Iwobi had a half chance which was saved by Kepa, and that was about all that happened! Overall, this is an important win for AFC Bournemouth! The Cherries rise to 8th in the league and they head to Crystal Palace next time out! As for Fulham, they didn’t do enough here! The Cottagers drop to 9th in the table and their next game is a big one at home to Chelsea!
Nottingham Forest 0-1 Everton

A late, late Everton winner took a massive dent out of Nottingham Forest’s Champions League aspirations! Matz Sels pulled out a decent early save to stop James Garner from scoring against his former club before Sels made another important stop in the Second Half, this time to deny Iliman Ndiaye! Jack Harrison then had a decent opportunity to score which he failed to keep down before Everton probably should’ve had a penalty which wasn’t given! And then, in the 94th minute, after a terrible mistake by Murillo, Everton went down the other end of the pitch and scored through Abdoulaye Doucoure to earn a dramatic 3 points! In the end, this is a terrible result for Nottingham Forest! Forest remain third in the league and their next game away at Tottenham is must-win! As for Everton, this is a great steal for them! The Toffees rise to 13th in the table and they host Manchester City next time out!
