Arsenal 4-1 Tottenham

A stunning Eberechi Eze guided Arsenal to a massive victory over Tottenham Hotspur in the North London Derby! Declan Rice had a great opportunity to give Arsenal the lead early on, but he could only strike his effort straight at Guglielmo Vicario, before Arsenal did take the lead in the 36th minute through Leandro Trossard! What a great pass by Mikel Merino! Just 5 minutes later, Arsenal’s lead was doubled as Eberechi Eze scored after a couple of helpful deflections! Eze then made it 3-0 right at the start of the second half, before Tottenham were at least able to get one back as Richarlison scored from about 35 yards out! However, in the 76th minute, all three points were emphatically secured as Eberechi Eze completed a wonderful hat-trick! Overall, things couldn’t have gone much better for Arsenal this weekend! The Gunners extend their lead over the rest of the field, and they have a pretty big week incoming as they host Bayern Munich tomorrow night before they head to Chelsea on Sunday! As for Tottenham Hotspur, this wasn’t supposed to happen! Spurs drop to 9th in the table, and they head to PSG tomorrow before they host Fulham in their next league game!
Bournemouth 2-2 West Ham

After just 11 minutes, Callum Wilson fired a shot into the back of the net to make it 1-0 to West Ham, but honestly, the goalkeeping by Djordje Petrovic is so poor! In the 35th minute, it was 2-0 to West Ham as Wilson netted another goal against his former club! In the second half, Ryan Christie had a decent chance to score, but he could only fire his effort straight at Alphonse Areola, before Bournemouth were awarded a penalty after Max Kilman handled the ball! This allowed Marcus Tavernier to step up to the penalty spot, and he converted superbly to get his team back into the game! Areola then made a fantastic save to stop Eli Junior Kroupi from equalising, but in the 81st minute, Bournemouth would find themselves back on level terms as Enes Unal scored to make it 2-2, before Tavernier blasted over a great chance to win it for the hosts! In the end, AFC Bournemouth will have very mixed feelings about drawing this game! The Cherries now find themselves 8th in the table, and their next game should be a good one away at Sunderland! As for West Ham United, they’ll be gutted to have let the win slip away, but they also actually did quite well not to lose too! The Hammers rise out of the Relegation Zone (into 17th), and they host Liverpool next time out!
Liverpool 0-3 Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest pulled off one of their all-time great away days as Liverpool’s season goes from bad to worse! Elliot Anderson pulled off a great goal-line block to keep Alexis Mac Allister’s effort out, before Milos Kerkez failed to get a clean connection on his strike! In the 33rd minute, it was Nottingham Forest who found themselves in front as Murillo scored after Liverpool were screaming for the goal to be disallowed for offside! Forest then should’ve had a second goal as Igor Jesus finished well, but his goal was ruled out for a supposed handball! I’m using the word supposed because I don’t see any moment where the ball hits the arm; this is a terrible decision! However, it didn’t seem to faze Nottingham Forest as Nicolo Savona made it 2-0 inside the first 60 seconds of the second half, whilst Morgan Gibbs-White finished the Champions off in the 78th minute! Overall, just when you think things can’t get worse for Liverpool, they do! The Reds drop to 12th place, and they now face a must-win week against PSV Eindhoven and West Ham! As for Nottingham Forest, take a bow! Forest rise out of the Relegation Zone (into 16th), and they have a home week incoming against Malmö and Brighton!
Newcastle 2-1 Manchester City

A Harvey Barnes double helped Newcastle United get over the line in a rather controversial affair against Manchester City! Nick Woltemade forced a couple of really good saves out of Gianluigi Donnarumma before Manchester City were asking for a penalty after Fabian Schar wiped out Phil Foden! It doesn’t matter whether Foden had already had his shot or not; this should’ve been a penalty! Harvey Barnes then managed to miss a sitter from just a few yards out, before Erling Haaland had a great opportunity which he could only fire straight at Nick Pope! Phil Foden then had a great opportunity to score, but he somehow managed to miss the target completely, before Man City were asking for another penalty for a handball! There’s an argument to be made that this also should’ve been given! Anyway, in the 63rd minute, Newcastle had the lead thanks to a great strike from Harvey Barnes, before Ruben Dias equalised for City just 5 minutes later! And then, in the 70th minute, Harvey Barnes finished off on the rebound to put Newcastle back in front, only for Bruno Guimaraes to seemingly be offside! However, somehow, the goal stood, and this is an absolute farce! Overall, this is a good 3 points for Newcastle United! The Magpies remain 14th in the table, and they take on Marseille tonight before they go to Everton for this weekend’s Saturday Night Football! As for Manchester City, they have every right to feel a lack of justice after what transpired in this game! City drop to third in the league, and they will host both Bayer Leverkusen and Leeds in the next 5 days!
Leeds 1-2 Aston Villa

After just 8 minutes, Leeds found themselves in front through Lukas Nmecha, and let’s be honest, this was a pretty comical goal! Ollie Watkins then came close to scoring for Aston Villa right before halftime; his effort flew just past the post, before just 3 minutes into the second half, Villa did have their equalising goal courtesy of Morgan Rogers! In the 75th minute, Aston Villa would take the lead as Rogers scored again with a terrific free-kick technique! Dominic Calvert-Lewin then thought he’d equalised for Leeds almost straight away, but his goal was rightly ruled out due to a handball, before Emi Martinez produced a big save to deny Pascal Struijk at the end! In the end, it’s another defeat for Leeds United! The Whites now find themselves inside the Relegation Zone (in 18th), and they head to Manchester City next time out! As for Aston Villa, it’s yet another win for them! Villa rise to 4th (yes 4th!) in the league, and they have two upcoming home games this week against Young Boys and Wolves!
Brighton 2-1 Brentford

A late penalty save meant Brighton and Hove Albion were able to complete a successful comeback over a deflated Brentford! Brighton had a couple of decent chances early on, which they failed to take, before Brentford were awarded a penalty after Carlos Baleba wiped out Dango Ouattara! Igor Thiago then stepped up and dispatched his spot kick very well to give Brentford the lead inside 30 minutes! In the second half, Danny Welbeck had a really good opportunity to score, but he surprisingly blasted the ball well over the crossbar, before Welbeck would get his equaliser in the 71st minute with a really well-placed finish! In the 84th minute, Brighton found themselves in front as Jack Hinshelwood scored on the volley, but I’m honestly stunned that Caoimhin Kelleher failed to keep this one out! But then, in stoppage time, Brentford were awarded a penalty after Maxim De Cuyper pulled down Kevin Schade! Igor Thiago once again stepped up, but this time, his effort was saved by Bart Verbruggen! Overall, what a dramatic win for Brighton and Hove Albion! The Seagulls rise to 6th in the league, and they head to Nottingham Forest next time out! As for Brentford, they’ll be kicking themselves for losing this game! The Bees now find themselves 13th in the table, and they’ll be hoping to bounce back when they host Burnley this Saturday!
Burnley 0-2 Chelsea

Burnley slipped into the Relegation Zone as Chelsea picked up another victory! Chelsea would’ve been in on goal early on had Liam Delap played in Jamie Gittens, but the striker showed a lot of selfishness by blasting his effort well off target, before Chelsea did have the lead in the 37th minute as Pedro Neto headed home after a great ball in from Gittens! In the second half, Neto nearly scored his second of the afternoon; his effort struck the post, before Zian Flemming had a good opportunity to equalise for Burnley, but he poorly blasted over! This was a chance that Flemming needed to take! And then, in the 88th minute, Enzo Fernández finished well to seal all 3 points for the visitors! In the end, it’s another defeat for Scott Parker’s Burnley! The Clarets drop into the Relegation Zone (in 19th), and they head to Brentford next time out! As for Chelsea, they got the job done here! The Blues now find themselves second in the league, and they have an absolutely massive week incoming as they will welcome both FC Barcelona and Arsenal to Stamford Bridge!
Wolves 0-2 Crystal Palace

Rob Edwards’ return to Molineux didn’t exactly go to plan as his Wolverhampton Wanderers side got swept aside by Crystal Palace! Crystal Palace probably should’ve had a penalty early on after David Moller Wolfe took out Ismaila Sarr right on the line, but VAR decided to stick with the decision of just a free kick! Jean-Philippe Mateta then found himself in on goal, but he poorly missed the target, before Ladislav Krejci couldn’t guide his effort on target for Wolves (had he done so, it would’ve been 1-0)! In the second half, Marshall Munetsi had a decent chance to score, which he failed to keep down, before Crystal Palace finally had the lead in the 63rd minute through Daniel Munoz! This was a really cruel goal to concede! And then, in the 69th minute, after a poor clearance from Wolves, Yeremy Pino finished brilliantly to seal all 3 points for the reigning FA Cup Champions! In the end, it’s not the best of starts for Rob Edwards on his return to Wolverhampton Wanderers! Wolves remain bottom of the league, and they head to local rivals Aston Villa next time out! As for Crystal Palace, they did everything that they needed to do here! The Eagles rise to 5th in the table, and they have an exciting week incoming with an away trip to Strasbourg in the Conference League, before they host Manchester United in their next league game!
Manchester United 0-1 Everton

Despite having an extra player for nearly the entire game, Manchester United failed to take advantage as Everton earned a wonderful away victory! Out of absolutely nowhere, Idrissa Gana Gueye was shown a straight red card for striking the face of Michael Keane, his own teammate! Yes, that actually happened, and I didn’t even know you could be sent off for having an altercation with someone in your own team! Anyway, it didn’t seem to affect the rest of the Everton team that much, as in the 29th minute, Everton had the lead courtesy of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall! The strike from Dewsbury-Hall is fantastic, but what on earth were Manchester United doing in letting him get the shot off in the first place?! Patrick Dorgu then had a decent opportunity, which he poorly blasted well off target, before Mason Mount saw his effort fly just off target (after Jordan Pickford denied Bryan Mbeumo)! Bruno Fernandes then had a great opportunity to equalise, but he poorly blasted over, before Jordan Pickford made a wonderful save to tip Joshua Zirkzee’s effort out for a corner! In the end, this is a shambolic result for Manchester United! United drop to 10th in the league, and they head to Crystal Palace next time out! As for Everton, what a special win this is for David Moyes! The Toffees rise to 11th (ahead of rivals Liverpool), and their next game sees them host Newcastle on Saturday Night Football!
Fulham 1-0 Sunderland

Harry Wilson came within a whisker of giving Fulham the lead early on as his effort went just wide of the post, before Kevin forced a decent save out of Robin Roefs! In the second half, Harry Wilson had another decent opportunity which he failed to take, before Emile Smith Rowe also fired his own effort off target! But then, in the 84th minute, Fulham would find their winning goal through none other than Raul Jimenez! Overall, this is a much-needed 3 points for Fulham! The Cottagers remain in 15th place, and their next game is away at London Rivals Tottenham! As for Sunderland AFC, they didn’t really do anything in this game! The Black Cats drop to 7th in the league, and they host Bournemouth next time out!
