Leeds 3-3 Liverpool

Despite having a 2-goal lead, Liverpool once again slipped up as Leeds United came from behind to earn another great point in a memorable week for them! Curtis Jones came close early on as his effort smashed the crossbar, before Hugo Ekitike took advantage of a poor pass by Joe Rodon to give Liverpool the lead just 3 minutes into the second half! Just 2 minutes later, Liverpool had a second, and so did Ekitike after another poor bit of play from Leeds’ defenders! However, Leeds were given a lifeline after Ibrahima Konate decided to stupidly wipe out Wilfried Gnonto, and it was Dominic Calvert-Lewin who stepped up and scored against his former rivals! And then, just 2 minutes later, Leeds were back on level terms as Anton Stach equalised after some really passive defending! However, in the 80th minute, Liverpool found themselves back in front through Dominik Szoboszlai, and it looked to be enough until, in the 96th minute, Ao Tanaka scored a massive goal to finish the game at 3-3! In the end, it’s another valiant effort from Leeds United! Leeds rise to 16th in the table, and they head to Brentford next time out! As for Liverpool, what on earth are they doing?! The Reds drop to 10th in the league, and they face Inter Milan in the Champions League tonight before they host Brighton this Saturday!
Wolves 1-4 Manchester United

Manchester United pulled off an emphatic victory to pile even further misery on Wolverhampton Wanderers! After a terrible mistake by Andre, Manchester United took the lead in the 25th minute through Bruno Fernandes, and honestly, this was comedy gold from Wolves' defence! Toti Gomes then pulled off an important goal-line block to deny Matheus Cunha a goal on his Molineux return, before amazingly, Wolves managed to finally score a goal as Jean-Ricner Bellegarde equalised right on halftime! This clearly annoyed Ruben Amorim, as just 6 minutes into the second half, Man United were back in front as Bryan Mbeumo tapped the ball into the back of an empty net! In the 62nd minute, Mason Mount added a third, before United were awarded a penalty for a rather questionable handball! Anyway, Bruno Fernandes then stepped up and scored to make it Wolves 1, Manchester United 4! In the end, Wolverhampton Wanderers are useless! Wolves easily remain bottom of the league, and rather frighteningly, their next game is away at Arsenal! As for Manchester United, this was a very good second-half performance from them! United rise to 6th place, and they host Bournemouth next time out!
Manchester City 3-0 Sunderland

Manchester City cruised past Sunderland AFC to move within 2 points off first! After 31 minutes, Manchester City took the lead thanks to a wonder strike by Ruben Dias! Just 4 minutes later, Man City had a second as another defender scored, this time in the form of Josko Gvardiol! In the second half, Jeremy Doku came close to scoring as his effort came back out off the post, before Daniel Ballard pulled out a great block to deny Phil Foden on the rebound! Wilson Isidor was then gifted a chance to get Sunderland back into the game, but he could only strike his effort straight at Gianluigi Donnarumma, before Granit Xhaka came super close as his effort smashed the woodwork! Lutsharel Geertruida then pulled out an important goal-line block to keep Erling Haaland off the scoresheet, but in the 65th minute, City would have their third goal courtesy of Phil Foden! What a fancy assist from Rayan Cherki! Things then got even worse for Sunderland right at the end of the game as Luke O’Nien was shown a straight red card for a pretty terrible challenge; just 5 minutes after he’d been brought on as a substitute! Overall, this weekend went perfectly for Manchester City! City remain second in the league, and their upcoming week is absolutely huge, with away trips to both Real Madrid and Crystal Palace! As for Sunderland AFC, they got swept aside here! The Black Cats drop to 9th in the table, and they host Newcastle in the Tyne-Wear Derby next time out!
Everton 3-0 Nottingham Forest

After less than 90 seconds, Everton already found themselves in front as Nikola Milenkovic managed to head the ball into the back of his own net! Elliot Anderson then forced Jordan Pickford into making a decent save, before Thierno Barry finally netted his first goal in blue to give Everton a 2-0 lead heading into halftime! In the second half, James Garner had a decent opportunity which he struck straight at Matz Sels, before James Tarkowski made a massive block to stop Nicolas Dominguez from bringing Nottingham Forest back into the game! Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall then came close as his effort smashed the outside of the post, before in the 80th minute, Dewsbury-Hall would have his goal to seal all 3 points for the hosts! Overall, this was a great performance from Everton! The Toffees rise to 7th in the league, and they head to Chelsea next time out! As for Nottingham Forest, they were terrible in this game! Forest drop to 17th in the table, and they face a challenging week upcoming with games against FC Utrecht (away) and Tottenham (at home)!
Aston Villa 2-1 Arsenal

An insane 95th-minute winner for Aston Villa stunned Arsenal to blow the Title Race wide open! Despite a brilliant bit of play by Ollie Watkins, David Raya pulled off a great save to keep the game at 0-0, before Aston Villa would take the lead in the 36th minute through Matty Cash! However, in the 52nd minute, Arsenal were back on terms thanks to a tight finish by Leandro Trossard! Watkins was then denied again by Raya, before Emi Martinez pulled off a great finger-tip save to push Martin Odegaard’s effort over the crossbar! Donyell Malen then came within a whisker of giving Aston Villa the lead late on, before in the 95th minute, Villa Park erupted as Emi Buendia scored a dramatic late winner for the hosts! Overall, this is a special win for Aston Villa! Villa remain third in the league, and they face away days at both Basel and West Ham over the next week! As for Arsenal, I think this game showed them that it may not be as straightforward as they would’ve thought/hoped! The Gunners remain top of the league (only by 2 points, though), and they head to Club Brugge tomorrow before they host Wolves in their next league fixture!
Fulham 1-2 Crystal Palace

A late Captain’s header was enough for Crystal Palace to rise into the Top 4 at the expense of London Rivals Fulham! After just 20 minutes, Crystal Palace already had the lead as Eddie Nketiah scored with a really strong finish! Emile Smith Rowe then forced a decent save out of Dean Henderson, before Fulham were back on level terms in the 38th minute courtesy of a wonderful Harry Wilson finish! This was absolutely superb! In the second half, Fulham thought they’d taken the lead through Emile Smith Rowe, but his goal was rightly ruled out for an offside in the build-up! Bernd Leno then made an important save to deny Christantus Uche from making it 2-1, before in the 87th minute, Palace would have their winning goal through none other than Marc Guehi! In the end, it’s another disappointing defeat for Fulham! The Cottagers stay 15th in the table, and they head to Burnley next time out for what is shaping up to be a pretty important Saturday Night Football! As for Crystal Palace, this is a good win for them! The Eagles rise to 4th in the league, and they head to Ireland to take on Shelbourne in the Conference League on Thursday before they return to Premier League action with a huge game against Manchester City!
Newcastle 2-1 Burnley

Anthony Gordon came close early on as his effort clipped the outside of the post and went wide, before Newcastle would find themselves in front in the 31st minute thanks to a corner-kick goal by Bruno Guimaraes! To score directly from a corner is a pretty impressive thing! Things then got worse for Burnley as Lucas Pires was shown a straight red card for being the last man, before Newcastle were awarded a penalty after Lesley Ugochukwu stupidly put his hands towards the ball! Anthony Gordon then stepped and converted well to send Newcastle 2-0 up heading into the break! In the second half, Gordon once again struck the woodwork (this time the crossbar), before Burnley were awarded a penalty of their own right at the end of the game as Jacob Ramsey clearly stuck his arm out to block the ball! Zian Flemming stepped up and scored to get one back for Burnley, before they had a great chance to equalise in the 98th minute, only for Flemming and Josh Laurent to get in each other’s way! Overall, it’s a win for Newcastle United, but it should’ve been a lot more straightforward for them! The Magpies remain 12th in the table, and they have a big week coming up with away trips to both Bayer Leverkusen and Sunderland! As for Burnley, they nearly managed to nick something from this game! The Clarets remain inside the Relegation Zone (in 19th), and they host Fulham in a pretty crucial game next time out!
Tottenham 2-0 Brentford

Guglielmo Vicario was forced into making a decent save to stop Igor Thiago from giving Brentford the lead early on, before Tottenham found themselves in front in the 25th minute through Richarlison! Great ball across from Xavi Simons! Randal Kolo Muani then had a good chance to make it 2-0, but he could only head the ball straight at Caoimhin Kelleher, before Spurs would have their second goal just before halftime, courtesy of Xavi Simons! What on earth was Nathan Collins/the rest of the Brentford defence doing?! In the second half, Tottenham had a couple of chances which were kept out well by Kelleher, before Thiago missed a good opportunity late on to get Brentford on the scoreboard! Overall, this was a much-needed win for Tottenham Hotspur and Thomas Frank! Spurs remain 11th in the league, and they host Slavia Prague tonight before they head to Nottingham Forest on Sunday! As for Brentford, they were easily second best in this one! The Bees drop to 14th in the table, and they host Leeds next time out!
Brighton 1-1 West Ham

Another late goal involving Brighton and Hove Albion denied West Ham United a crucial 3 points! Mats Wieffer should’ve put Brighton in front in the first half, but he completely missed the ball, before Crysencio Summerville had a good opportunity, which he poorly put wide! In the second half, Bart Verbruggen pulled off a brilliant double save to keep the game at 0-0, before we finally got the first goal of the game as Jarrod Bowen finished brilliantly to give West Ham the lead after 73 minutes! Alphonse Areola then made a great save to push the ball onto the woodwork just a minute after his team had taken the lead, before in the 91st minute, Georginio Rutter netted a pretty controversial equaliser to rescue a point for Brighton! I’m sorry, but how was this goal not ruled out? It was clearly a handball by Rutter, and West Ham have every right to feel robbed! In the end, Brighton and Hove Albion massively got away with one here! The Seagulls now find themselves 8th in the table, and their next game is a big one away at Liverpool! As for West Ham United, they deserved to win this game! The Hammers remain inside the Relegation Zone (in 18th), and they host Aston Villa next time out!
Bournemouth 0-0 Chelsea

Antoine Semenyo thought he’d given Bournemouth the lead inside 4 minutes, but his goal was rightly ruled out for an earlier offside against Evanilson in the build-up! Evanilson then somehow managed to miss from about 2 yards out (I actually can’t believe this), before Robert Sanchez was forced into making a good save to deny Alex Scott! In the second half, Marcus Tavernier came close to giving Bournemouth the lead as his effort dragged wide of the post, before Alejandro Garnacho hit the outside of the post in Chelsea’s best move of the match! Semenyo then fired an effort at goal towards the end of the game, but Sanchez did well to parry the effort out for a corner! In the end, AFC Bournemouth really should’ve won this game! The Cherries now find themselves 13th in the table, and they head to Manchester United next time out! As for Chelsea, they were really poor here! The Blues drop to 5th in the league, and they face Atalanta tonight before they host Everton this Saturday!
