Tottenham 1-4 Arsenal

Arsenal bounced back in style to smash an abysmal Tottenham Hotspur in the North London Derby! Viktor Gyokeres had a decent chance early on, which he struck just wide, before Arsenal found themselves in front after 32 minutes through Eberechi Eze! However, just 25 seconds later, Tottenham were back on level terms as Randal Kolo Muani took advantage of a poor bit of play by Declan Rice! At the start of the second half, Arsenal were back in front as Viktor Gyokeres lashed one into the back of the net, before Kolo Muani had his equaliser ruled out for a foul on Gabriel! In the 61st minute, Eze was there again to make it 3-1, before David Raya pulled off an amazing save to deny Richarlison! And then, in the 94th minute, Gyokeres scored again to seal a statement victory for the visitors! In the end, Tottenham Hotspur are absolutely awful! Spurs stay 16th in the table, and they’ll head to Fulham next time out! As for Arsenal, they needed this result big time! The Gunners remain top of the league (by 5 points), and their next game is another big derby day against Chelsea!

Sunderland 1-3 Fulham

Sunderland AFC’s European hopes took a big hit as Fulham ended their losing run in style! Ryan Sessegnon had a decent opportunity to score in the first half, but he failed to hit the target completely, before Romaine Mundle missed a golden opportunity to put Sunderland in front early in the second half! Then, just 2 minutes later, it was Fulham who found themselves in front as Raul Jimenez headed home to make it 1-0 after 54 minutes! Then, after Brian Brobbey fouled Calvin Bassey inside the penalty area, Jimenez stepped up and scored from 12 yards out to double Fulham’s lead just 7 minutes after his first goal! In the 76th minute, Sunderland were able to get one back as Enzo Le Fee successfully converted his penalty kick after a rather stupid foul was made by Sessegnon! But then, in the 85th minute, Alex Iwobi finished well to seal all 3 points for the visitors! In the end, Sunderland AFC are just starting to struggle now! The Black Cats drop to 12th in the table, and their next game feels like an important one away at Bournemouth! As for Fulham, this is a really good win for them! The Cottagers rise to 10th in the league, and they’ll host Tottenham next time out!

Manchester City 2-1 Newcastle

A great defensive display was enough for Manchester City to hold off Newcastle United for a key victory! After 14 minutes, Manchester City found themselves in front thanks to a great strike by Nico O’Reilly! Gianluigi Donnarumma was then forced into making a decent save to keep Anthony Gordon’s effort out, before Newcastle were back on level terms in the 22nd minute as Lewis Hall’s effort took a fortunate deflection off Rayan Ait Nouri! However, just 5 minutes later, Man City were already back on level terms courtesy of another goal by O’Reilly! What a pass from Erling Haaland! In the second half, City created multiple chances which they failed to finish off, before Nick Pope made a great double save to deny both Haaland and Phil Foden! Overall, Manchester City’s defence won them this game! City remain second in the league, and they’ll head to Leeds next time out on Saturday Night Football! As for Newcastle United, it’s now 13-straight defeats at the Etihad for them! The Magpies drop to 11th in the table, and they’re set to host both Qarabag FK and Everton over the next week!

Brentford 0-2 Brighton

Kaoru Mitoma had a good opportunity to give Brighton the lead in the first half, but his effort was kept out by Caoimhin Kelleher, before Brighton did have the lead inside 30 minutes as Diego Gomez finished off the rebound (after Ferdi Kadioglu smashed the crossbar)! Then, in additional time at the end of the first half, Brighton’s lead was doubled as Danny Welbeck scored following a shocking bit of defending by Nathan Collins! In the second half, Dango Ouattara had a decent chance to get Brentford back into the game, but he couldn’t keep his effort down, before Bart Verbruggen pulled off a great save to stop Brighton from scoring an own goal! In the end, this is a really poor result as far as Brentford are concerned! The Bees stay 7th in the league, and they’ll head to Burnley next time out! As for Brighton and Hove Albion, boy, did they need this result! The Seagulls remain 14th in the table, and their next game sees them host Nottingham Forest on Super Sunday!

Aston Villa 1-1 Leeds

A late Aston Villa equaliser meant neither team left Villa Park particularly satisfied! Dominic Calvert-Lewin found himself in on goal early on, but Emi Martinez was quick enough off his line to make the save, before Anton Stach fired Leeds in front after 31 minutes with one of the best free-kick efforts you’re ever likely to see! Ollie Watkins then had a decent chance to equalise for Aston Villa, but he tamely guided his effort straight into the arms of Karl Darlow, before Darlow pulled off a great save to deny Amadou Onana! At the start of the second half, Emi Buendia scuffed a good opportunity to get Villa back on level terms, before Buendia’s next effort came back out off the post! Lukas Nmecha then had a golden opportunity to seal all 3 points for Leeds, but he couldn’t guide his effort past Emi Martinez, before Tammy Abraham was able to flick the ball into the back of the opposition's net to earn an 88th-minute equaliser! In the end, it’s still more dropped points for Aston Villa! Villa stay third in the league, and their next game is away at Wolves this Friday Night! As for Leeds United, another late goal has hurt them! The Whites remain 15th in the table, and they’ll host Manchester City next time out!

Chelsea 1-1 Burnley

A stoppage-time equaliser for Burnley could prove costly for Chelsea’s Champions League aspirations! After just 4 minutes, Chelsea already had the lead as Joao Pedro managed to scramble the ball across the line (after a great ball across from Pedro Neto)! Cole Palmer then found himself in on goal, but he couldn’t guide his effort past Martin Dubravka, before Pedro missed a good opportunity to add to his tally! In the 72nd minute, things started to get a little trickier for Chelsea as Wesley Fofana was sent off following a second yellow card, before Zian Flemming headed Burnley back on level terms in the 93rd minute! Incredibly, both teams then had chances to win the game, but neither Jacob Bruun Larsen nor Liam Delap were able to keep their efforts on target! In the end, this is such a poor result for Chelsea! The Blues drop to 5th in the table, and their next game is a massive one away at Arsenal! As for Burnley, they should be really pleased with this result! The Clarets remain inside the Relegation Zone (in 19th), and they’ll host Brentford next time out!

Nottingham Forest 0-1 Liverpool

A 97th-minute winner was enough for Liverpool to steal all 3 points at the expense of Nottingham Forest! Alisson made a good first-half save to keep Callum Hudson-Odoi’s effort out, before Nikola Milenkovic headed just wide early in the second half! Stefan Ortega was then needed to stop Curtis Jones from giving Liverpool the lead, before Ibrahim Sangare dragged his effort wide of the target! In the 89th minute, Liverpool thought they’d won it through Alexis Mac Allister, but in fact, his goal was ruled out due to a rather stupid handball decision! Honestly! Anyway, in the 97th minute, Liverpool would have their winner as Mac Allister did get his goal! In the end, this is a gutting defeat for Nottingham Forest! Forest stay 17th in the table, and they will take on both Fenerbahçe and Brighton over the next week! As for Liverpool, they’ll take the 3 points and run! The Reds remain 6th in the league, and they host West Ham next time out!

Everton 0-1 Manchester United

A single goal was enough for Manchester United to move into the Top 4! Both Jordan Pickford and James Tarkowski were there at the right place at the right time to stop Amad from giving Manchester United the lead, before Harrison Armstrong saw his shot easily saved by Senne Lammens! Bryan Mbeumo then had a good chance to put Man United in front, but he couldn’t keep his effort down, before Manchester United would finally take the lead in the 71st minute courtesy of Benjamin Sesko! Everton were so open at the back here, it’s ridiculous! Everton then had a couple of half-chances to equalise at the end of the game, but they just weren’t able to find a way past Lammens! In the end, it’s another disappointing home defeat for Everton! The Toffees drop to 9th in the table, and their next game sees them head up to Newcastle! As for Manchester United, this is a good win for them! United rise to 4th in the league, and they’ll host Crystal Palace next time out!

Crystal Palace 1-0 Wolves

Yeremy Pino was gifted an opportunity to give Crystal Palace the lead early on, but he couldn’t guide his effort on target, whilst Will Hughes probably should’ve been shown a second yellow card! Pino then had another good chance to score, but this time his effort came back out off the post, before Wolves were awarded a penalty after Adam Wharton wiped out Mateus Mane! It was Tolu Arokodare who then stepped up to the penalty spot, but his terrible effort was easily saved by Dean Henderson! What a shambolic attempt of a penalty! In the second half, things got worse for Wolves as Ladislav Krejci was sent off for kicking the ball away, but I genuinely don’t think he heard the whistle! Either way, this referee is awful! And then, in the 90th minute, Crystal Palace had a much-needed winner courtesy or Evann Guessand! Overall, this is an important 3 points for Crystal Palace! The Eagles stay 13th in the table, and they have a big Conference League tie with Zrinjski Mostar on Thursday before they head to Manchester United for their next league game! As for Wolverhampton Wanderers, they should have never lost this game! Wolves remain bottom of the league, and they’ll host Aston Villa next time out!

West Ham 0-0 Bournemouth

Djordje Petrovic made a really good save early on to keep Axel Disasi’s headed effort out, before Petrovic was again there to deny Crysencio Summerville! In the second half, Rayan’s brilliant solo run ended with him striking the post (he was so unlucky), whilst Valentin Castellanos failed to keep his overhead kick effort down (at the other end)! Petrovic was then forced into make another really good save, this time to deny Callum Wilson a goal against his former club, before Jarrod Bowen missed a great opportunity to win it for West Ham right at the death! In the end, it’s another game where you can’t help but feel like West Ham United should’ve done better! The Hammers remain inside the Relegation Zone (in 18th), and they’ll head to Liverpool next time out! As for AFC Bournemouth, this is a decent point for them! The Cherries rise to 8th in the league, and their next game is an important one at home to Sunderland!
