Aston Villa 1-4 Chelsea

Aston Villa’s torrid run of form continued as they got thumped 4-1 by visitors Chelsea! After less than 2 minutes, it was Aston Villa who found themselves in front as Douglas Luiz finished cleverly! However, in the 35th minute, Chelsea were finally back on level terms courtesy of Joao Pedro! Ollie Watkins then thought he’d given Villa the lead back, but his goal was ruled out for offside, before Chelsea found themselves in front heading into the second half as Joao Pedro scored again, 6 minutes into stoppage time! 10 minutes into the second half, Cole Palmer took advantage of a poor bit of goalkeeping to make it 3-1, whilst Joao Pedro would then go on to complete a memorable hat-trick! In the end, what is going on with Aston Villa right now?! Villa stay 4th in the league, and their next couple of games are massive away at both Lille and Manchester United! As for Chelsea, this is much more like it! The Blues rise to 5th in the table, and they head to Wrexham tomorrow for FA Cup action before a big week against PSG and Newcastle!

Tottenham 1-3 Crystal Palace

Tottenham Hotspur’s misery shows no signs of stopping as they lost again, this time to Crystal Palace! After 29 minutes, Crystal Palace should’ve had the lead through Ismaila Sarr, but his goal was ruled out for another ridiculous offside (I’m so fed up), before Tottenham were the ones who found themselves in front just 5 minutes later through Dominic Solanke! However, Micky van de Ven then got himself sent off, resulting in a Crystal Palace penalty, as Ismaila Sarr stepped up and scored to equalise in the 40th minute! In the first minute of additional time at the end of the first half, Jorgen Strand Larsen scored to give Crystal Palace the lead, before Sarr scored again in the 7th minute of additional time to make it 3-1! The defending here is absolutely pathetic! Tottenham then had a couple of chances to get back into the game in the second half, but they failed to take them! In the end, Tottenham Hotspur are in serious trouble! Spurs stay 16th in the table, and they get the weekend off before a big week away at both Atletico Madrid and Liverpool! As for Crystal Palace, they’ve sorted things out now! The Eagles rise to 13th place, and they’re set to host both AEK Larnaca and Leeds next week!

Manchester City 2-2 Nottingham Forest

The Title Race is no longer in Manchester City’s hands as Nottingham Forest got themselves a crucial point! After 31 minutes, Manchester City had the lead as Antoine Semenyo was there to score from close range! However, in the 56th minute, Nottingham Forest were back on level terms courtesy of a brilliant Morgan Gibbs-White backheeled finish! Just 6 minutes later, Man City were already back in front through Rodri, before the hosts really should’ve had a penalty after Erling Haaland was wiped out by Matz Sels! How this isn’t a penalty is beyond me! Then, in the 76th minute, Nottingham Forest found themselves back on level terms as Elliot Anderson scored from distance! In stoppage time, Ryan Yates missed a great opportunity to win the game for Forest, before Rodri got wiped out, only for the referee to once again not give a penalty! No words! City then had a chance to win it right at the death, but Murillo was there to clear the ball off the line! In the end, this was a disaster for Manchester City on a number of different levels! City stay second in the league, and they have a massive 8 days ahead with away trips to Newcastle, Real Madrid, and West Ham! As for Nottingham Forest, this is a massive result for them in their fight for survival! Forest remain 17th in the table, and their next two games sees them host both FC Midtjylland and Fulham!

Wolves 2-1 Liverpool

The reigning Champions Liverpool got stunned by a rather resilient Wolverhampton Wanderers! After nothing happened in the first half, Liverpool somehow managed to fail to bundle the ball across the line from 2 yards out, before Wolves somehow found themselves in front with their first shot of the goal (in the 78th minute) through Rodrigo Gomes! Jose Sa then pulled off a great save to tip Rio Ngumoha’s effort onto the post, but his clean sheet wouldn’t last much longer as Mohamed Salah equalised following a terrible pass by Jean-Ricner Bellegarde! But then, in the 94th minute, Wolves had another unlikely winner as Andre’s effort flew in after a wicked deflection off Joe Gomez! Overall, Wolverhampton Wanderers have won again! Wolves still remain bottom of the league, however, and they host Liverpool again tonight in the FA Cup before an away trip to Brentford! As for Liverpool, they’re supposed to be the Champions! The Reds drop to 6th in the table, and they’ll face Wolves, Galatasaray, and Tottenham over the next 10 days!

Newcastle 2-1 Manchester United

Despite being down to 10 men for the entire second half, it was Newcastle United who somehow managed to hand Michael Carrick his first loss as Manchester United Manager! After Bryan Mbeumo missed a golden opportunity to give Manchester United the lead right on halftime, Jacob Ramsey was sent off down at the other end of the field for simulation! It’s certainly not a dive; this is a mad decision! Anyway, Newcastle were then awarded a penalty moments later after a stupid foul by Bruno Fernandes, leading to Anthony Gordon firing the hosts in front in the 6th minute of additional time! However, just 3 minutes, and we were going into halftime with the scores on level terms thanks to a Casemiro header! In the second half, Gordon had a great chance to score again, but he failed to hit the target completely, before Aaron Ramsdale pulled off an important save to deny Leny Yoro from gifting Manchester United the lead! And then, in the 90th minute, William Osula finished brilliantly to earn a dramatic late winner for Newcastle! Overall, fair play to Newcastle United! The Magpies rise to 12th in the table, and they’re set for a ginormous week with matches against Manchester City (in the FA Cup), Barcelona (in the Champions League), and Chelsea (in the Premier League)! As for Manchester United, this is a poor result given the recent form that they’ve been on! United stay third in the league, and they host Aston Villa in what is a crucial game next time out in the race for Champions League qualification!

Everton 2-0 Burnley

After Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall failed to keep his effort down, Everton found themselves in front in the 32nd minute thanks to a good headed finish by James Tarkowski! What a great ball in from James Garner! Jarrad Branthwaite then thought he was about to double Everton’s lead, but his effort was superbly saved by Martin Dubravka, before the hosts would finally put themselves with a 2-goal cushion courtesy of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall! Idrissa Gana Gueye then came close to scoring a wonder goal; his effort struck the crossbar, before Jordan Pickford made a great reaction save late on to keep his clean sheet intact! Overall, Everton managed this game really well! The Toffees remain in 8th place, and their next game sees them head down to Arsenal! As for Burnley, they did absolutely nothing in this game! The Clarets stay inside the Relegation Zone (in 19th), and they’ll host Bournemouth next time out!

Brighton 0-1 Arsenal

A defensive display helped Arsenal extend their lead at the front with a victory over Brighton and Hove Albion! Carlos Baleba had a good chance to give Brighton the lead early on, but he couldn’t get enough power on his effort to beat Gabriel, before Arsenal found themselves in front inside 9 minutes as Bukayo Saka’s effort flew in via a deflection! Brighton then probably should’ve been given a penalty right on halftime, but these refs seemingly refuse to give anything at the moment, before David Raya was forced into making a decent stop to keep Georginio Rutter’s effort out! Every good opportunity in the second half then seemingly fell to Brighton, but they just weren’t able to net an equalising goal! In the end, Brighton and Hove Albion were not happy here! The Seagulls drop to 14th in the table, and they’ll head to Sunderland next time out! As for Arsenal, all they care about is winning (and rightly so)! The Gunners remain top of the league (now by 7 points), and their upcoming schedule sees them face Mansfield, Bayer Leverkusen, and Everton!

Fulham 0-1 West Ham

West Ham United earned a massive win in their fight for Premier League survival as Fulham managed Fulham things! West Ham were asking for a penalty early on, but nothing was given against Alex Iwobi, whilst Mads Hermansen made a really good save to deny Josh King! In the second half, Tomas Soucek forced a good save out of Bernd Leno, before Fulham were awarded a penalty, only for VAR to overturn the decision (correctly, I may add)! Then, after a torrid error by Bernd Leno, West Ham found themselves in front in the 65th minute courtesy of Crysencio Summerville! Timothy Castagne then had a chance to equalise for Fulham late on, but his effort was also kept out by Hermansen! In the end, this is typical Fulham! The Cottagers drop to 10th in the table, and their next two games are against Southampton and Nottingham Forest! As for West Ham United, they needed this! The Hammers remain inside the Relegation Zone (in 18th), and they have two upcoming home games against Brentford (in the Cup) and Manchester City (in the league)!

Leeds 0-1 Sunderland

After barely anything happened in the first half, Leeds thought they’d taken the lead in the second half through Joe Rodon, but his goal was rightly ruled out for offside! A handball was then given against Ethan Ampadu, leading to Habib Diarra scoring from 12 yards out to gift Sunderland the lead! This is a horrific penalty, which means the goalkeeping was somehow even worse! Leeds then had a couple more chances to equalise, but they couldn’t find a way to get the ball past Robin Roefs! In the end, this is a bit of a disappointing result for Leeds United! The Whites stay 15th in the table, and they take on Norwich next time out before an away trip to Crystal Palace! As for Sunderland AFC, this is a great win for them! The Black Cats rise to 11th in the league, and their next two games see them face off against both Port Vale and Brighton!

Bournemouth 0-0 Brentford

Marcus Tavernier had a good chance to give Bournemouth the lead early on, but he wasn’t able to bend his effort on target, before James Hill should’ve put Bournemouth in front from just a few yards out! Ryan Christie then failed to get a touch on the ball for what would’ve been 1-0 otherwise, whilst Caoimhin Kelleher was then forced into making a decent save just before halftime! In the second, Tavernier had a golden opportunity, but he could only strike the post before Djordje Petrovic was finally forced into action down at the other end! Amazingly, Marcus Tavernier then managed to smash the woodwork again, before Bournemouth missed another golden chance late on! In the end, this is definitely 2 points dropped for AFC Bournemouth! The Cherries stay 9th in the table, and they’ll head to Burnley next time out! As for Brentford, they did well to get a point from this game! The Bees remain 7th in the league, and they’ll face West Ham and Wolves on back-to-back Mondays!
