West Ham United thumped Wolverhampton Wanderers to move out of the Relegation Zone! Crysencio Summerville had a really good opportunity to give West Ham the lead early on, but he poorly blasted his effort over the crossbar, before West Ham would have the lead in the 42nd minute through Konstantinos Mavropanos! In the second half, Angel Gomes smashed the post with his free-kick effort, before Jarrod Bowen struck the post at the other end! In the 66th minute, Valentin Castellanos was able to double West Ham’s lead, before Castellanos scored again just 2 minutes later! And then, in the 83rd minute, Mavropanos added a fourth for the hosts! Overall, this is a big win for West Ham United! The Hammers rise out of the Relegation Zone (and into 17th), and their next game sees them head to Crystal Palace on next week’s Monday Night Football! As for Wolverhampton Wanderers, this result pretty much confirms their fate! Wolves remain bottom of the league, and they’ll head to Leeds next time out!

A stoppage-time equaliser could prove crucial when it comes to both Brentford and Everton’s chances of qualifying for Europe! Just 80 seconds into the game, Brentford were awarded a penalty after Jordan Pickford fouled Kevin Schade! Igor Thiago then stepped up and scored to get goal number 20 of his Premier League season! Caoimhin Kelleher then pulled off a really strong double save to keep the game at 1-0, only for Beto to equalise in the 26th minute! Brentford then hit the crossbar on multiple occasions, before the hosts were back in front in the 76th minute as Thiago scored again! This is quite the goal! But then, in the 91st minute, Everton would steal a share of the points courtesy of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall! In the end, Brentford really should’ve won this game! The Bees stay 7th in the league, and they’ll host Fulham next time out! As for Everton, they did well to get something from this game! The Toffees remain 8th in the table, and their next game sees them host Liverpool in a massive Merseyside Derby!

Manchester City put out a statement with a 3-0 Stamford Bridge thrashing of Chelsea! After basically nothing happened in the first half, it was Manchester City who drew first blood just 6 minutes into the second half through Nico O’Reilly! In the 57th minute, Man City’s lead was doubled courtesy of a great finish by Marc Guehi, before Jeremy Doku added a third 11 minutes later after a poor bit of play by Moises Caicedo! Marc Cucurella then had a chance late on to at least get Chelsea one goal back, but his effort was saved well by Gianluigi Donnarumma! In the end, this was another poor performance by Chelsea! The Blues stay 6th in the table, and they’ll host Manchester United next time out! As for Manchester City, they’re coming! City remain second in the league (now 6 points off top), and their next game is a mammoth collision against Arsenal!

Arsenal 1-2 Bournemouth

Arsenal’s grip on this year’s Premier League Title is starting to loosen slightly after a disappointing home defeat to AFC Bournemouth! After 17 minutes, it was Bournemouth who found themselves in front as Junior Kroupi tapped the ball home from close range! However, Arsenal would soon be back on level terms as Viktor Gyokeres fired home from the penalty spot following a handball by Ryan Christie! I guess proximity doesn’t exist anymore?! Anyway, in the 74th minute, Bournemouth would find themselves back in front as Alex Scott slotted his effort away perfectly! Gyokeres then had a good opportunity to equalise, but he made a mess of it, before Arsenal’s Number 14 missed again right at the end of the game! In the end, this performance by Arsenal was absolutely diabolical! The Gunners remain top of the league (but only by 6 points), and they have a huge week incoming with games against Sporting CP and Manchester City! As for AFC Bournemouth, this is a massive win for them in the context of their season! The Cherries rise to 11th place, and they’ll head to Newcastle next time out!

Manchester United 1-2 Leeds United

A surprising away victory over Manchester United puts Leeds United in a great position to remain in the Premier League next season! Senne Lammens made a big save early on to keep Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s effort out, but it didn’t end up mattering as Leeds found themselves in front inside 5 minutes anyway through Noah Okafor! In the 29th minute, Leeds’ lead was doubled as Okafor scored again thanks to a massive deflection off Leny Yoro! Lisandro Martinez then pulled off a massive challenge just before halftime to stop Ao Tanaka from killing the game off, before Karl Darlow made an important save to keep Benjamin Sesko off the scoresheet! Things then got even worse for Manchester United as Martinez was shown a straight red card for pulling Calvert-Lewin’s hair, only for Casemiro to get one back in the 69th minute! What a brilliant pass by Bruno Fernandes! Casemiro then had another chance to equalise late on, but Dominic Calvert-Lewin was there to clear the ball off the line! In the end, this is a really disappointing result for Manchester United! United stay third in the league, and their next game is a big one away at Chelsea! As for Leeds United, this is a huge 3 points for them! The Whites remain 15th in the table, and they’ll host Wolves next time out!

Aaron Ramsdale pulled off a great double save to keep Crystal Palace out early on, before Newcastle would find themselves in front just before halftime through William Osula! I love this goal! In the second half, Osula had a good chance to make it 2-0, but his effort was kept out by Dean Henderson, before Jefferson Lerma smashed the crossbar from close range! In the 80th minute, Crystal Palace were back on level terms as Jean-Philippe Mateta headed home well, before Palace were awarded a stoppage-time penalty after Sven Botman brought down Lerma! Mateta then stepped up and scored to win it for Palace at the death! Overall, what a great comeback from Crystal Palace! The Eagles rise to 13th place, and their next week sees them take on both Fiorentina and West Ham! As for Newcastle United, they’ve lost again! The Magpies drop to 14th in the table, and they’ll host Bournemouth next time out!

Liverpool got back to winning ways with an important 2-0 victory over Fulham! Bernd Leno was forced into making a decent early save to keep Mohamed Salah off the scoresheet, before Harry Wilson wasn’t a million miles away from giving Fulham the lead! In the 36th minute, it was Liverpool who found themselves in front as Rio Ngumoha scored superbly! Just 4 minutes later, Liverpool had a second as Mo Salah got on the act! In the second half, Rodrigo Muniz missed a good opportunity to get Fulham back into the game, whilst Emile Smith Rowe came within a whisker of making it 2-1! Overall, this is more like it from Liverpool! The Reds remain 5th in the league, and they have a massive challenge tonight against PSG before they head to Everton for the first Hill Dickinson-Merseyside Derby this Sunday! As for Fulham, they didn’t do enough here! The Cottagers drop to 12th in the table, and they head to Brentford next time out (for what is a pretty crucial game for both sides)!

Despite slotting the ball home well, Jaidon Anthony’s effort was rightly ruled out for offside, whilst Anthony’s next effort was successfully kept out by Bart Verbruggen! In the 43rd minute, Brighton found themselves in front as Mats Wieffer finished well! In the second half, Burnley had another goal ruled out for offside (this time against Bashir Humphreys), before Verbruggen made another decent save, this time to deny Zian Flemming! And then, in the 89th minute,  Brighton’s victory was secured as Wieffer scored again! In the end, it’s yet another defeat for Burnley! The Clarets remain inside the Relegation Zone (in 19th), and they’ll head to Nottingham Forest next time out! As for Brighton and Hove Albion, they’re starting to find some really good form! The Seagulls rise to 9th place, and their next game sees them face their old boss at Tottenham!

Nottingham Forest 1-1 Aston Villa

A share of the points feels far more beneficial for Nottingham Forest than it does for Aston Villa! After 23 minutes, Aston Villa found themselves in front courtesy of a Murillo own goal! Ollie Watkins then had a great chance to make it 2-0, but he failed to hit the target, before Morgan Rogers smashed the woodwork! Then, in the 38th minute, Nottingham Forest were back on level terms as Neco Williams fired one home from outside the box! In the second half, Marco Bizot pulled off an important save to stop Villa from scoring an own goal themselves, before Matz Sels made a good save to deny John McGinn! Morgan Rogers then had a golden chance to restore Villa’s lead, but he shockingly blazed his effort over the crossbar! In the end, this is a good point for Nottingham Forest! Forest remain 16th in the table, and they have a massive week incoming with home games against FC Porto and Burnley! As for Aston Villa, they should’ve won this game! Villa stay 4th in the league, and they’ll take on both Bologna and Sunderland over the next 6 days!

Tottenham Hotspur are set to spend a week in the Relegation Zone as Sunderland AFC fired themselves into the top half of the table! Brian Brobbey had a good chance to give Sunderland the lead early on, but he failed to keep his effort down before Tottenham were awarded a penalty after Randal Kolo Muani went down! However, VAR would then overturn the decision, before Nordi Mukiele missed a great opportunity at the back post! Granit Xhaka then came within a whisker of giving Sunderland the lead, before Antonin Kinsky made an important save to deny Brobbey! Dominic Solanke then found himself with an opportunity to give Tottenham the lead right before halftime, but his effort was saved by Robin Roefs, before Sunderland found themselves in front in the 61st minute as Nordi Mukiele’s effort took a massive deflection off Micky van de Ven! Deary me! Overall, this win keeps Sunderland AFC in European contention! The Black Cats rise to 10th in the league, and they’ll head to Aston Villa next time out! As for Tottenham Hotspur, this will feel like a killer blow for them! Spurs now find themselves inside the Relegation Zone (in 18th), and their next game is absolutely crucial at home against Brighton!
