Red Bull’s Home Race
With it being Austria this weekend, it means Red Bull are returning home to their own track, the Red Bull Ring! Red Bull Racing have a lot of success here, with Max Verstappen being clearly the most successful driver on this circuit, winning 5 times, including twice in 2021 (Austria and Styrian GP’s)! In actual fact, Red Bull are going to need a win this weekend because Max needs to follow up on the 6 points he gained back in the Championship fight last time out! It’s also a very important weekend for Yuki Tsunoda because the pressure on his shoulders will reach an all-time high!

Haas’ Favourite Circuit
Another team that absolutely loves the Red Bull Ring is Haas! Haas absolutely excel around here, they’ve scored a massive 65 points in their time racing around here in Formula 1, and their greatest-ever result came here back in 2018 when Romain Grosjean and Kevin Magnussen finished P4 and P5 respectively! This was also the home back in 2022 to Mick Schumacher’s best performance in Formula 1 (he finished 6th), and Nico Hulkenberg has even finished 6th here in both a Sprint and an actual Grand Prix! To say my hopes for Haas are high this weekend would be an understatement!

Alex Albon Needs a Result
The 2025 Season has been incredibly positive for Alex Albon, he sits 8th in the Championship with 42 points, he’s miles clear (points-wise) of his Race-winning teammate Carlos Sainz, and he’s proven a lot of people wrong! However, the last two weekends have been a bit of a disaster for Alex, with the Thai driver retiring from both Races after struggling for pace throughout! Albon also has a lot of history in Austria, with the season opener in 2020 going from what could’ve been his crowning moment to a moment that defined his Red Bull career! Still, I expect Alex Albon’s confidence to be strong coming into this weekend!

Fernando Alonso Deserves Some Praise
The first third of the 2025 Formula 1 Season was a massive struggle for Fernando Alonso, he had no confidence in his Aston Martin, and whenever things were going well, something bad always had to follow! In Spain, Fernando finally broke his duck with a P9 finish, but it was his drive in Canada that screamed vintage Alonso, not putting a foot wrong to secure the best possible result (which in this case was P7)! Alonso’s last couple of drives have dragged Aston Martin back into contention for 6th in the Constructors’, and I think that’s quite an impressive achievement!

Lando Norris HAS to Bounce Back!
Yeah, we’re not messing around here! Lando Norris made a massive error, an inexcusable error at this level of motorsport, but what will really define Lando is how he bounces back from that! There’s a big positive that the next couple of weekends are strong tracks for Norris, starting here with the Red Bull Ring, a track the young Brit scored his maiden Podium at in 2020! However, Lando doesn’t just need to bounce back from what happened in Canada; he also needs to bounce back from what happened this time 12 months ago, his collision with Max Verstappen is something I’m not sure Norris has fully recovered from, at least when it comes to racing wheel-to-wheel! I’d say a win this weekend for Lando Norris would easily be the biggest of his career, because if he goes here and gets beaten by his teammate, at a track he loves so much, then alarm bells will start to ring properly!
