After a Sprint earlier in the day, the mindset was back to 1-lap pace as Qualifying took place around the longest lap on the calendar to set the Grid for tomorrow’s Belgian Grand Prix!

Q1
In Qualifying 1, Lewis Hamilton, Franco Colapinto, Andrea Kimi Antonelli, Fernando Alonso, and Lance Stroll were the five slowest drivers! Lewis Hamilton had another shocking Qualifying as he saw his final lap time deleted, whilst Franco Colapinto was also knocked out for Alpine! Andrea Kimi Antonelli struggled once again to end up 18th, and it was also a horrendous day for Aston Martin as they qualified 19th and 20th, with Fernando Alonso a tenth clear of Lance Stroll! Lando Norris topped Q1, 2 tenths clear of McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri!

Q2
In Qualifying 2, Esteban Ocon, Oliver Bearman, Pierre Gasly, Nico Hulkenberg, and Carlos Sainz all failed to make it into the Top 10 shootout! Haas just barely missed out on Q3, with Esteban Ocon ahead of Oliver Bearman whilst Pierre Gasly was once again the lead Alpine! Nico Hulkenberg’s Qualifying struggles continued as he was nearly 4 tenths slower than his teammate, whilst Carlos Sainz will be very disappointed with being slowest in this session! The two McLaren’s swapped in this session, with Piastri now a tenth clear of Norris!

Q3
In Qualifying 3, a 1:40.562 was enough for Lando Norris to take a much-needed Pole Position! Lando needed this result after the gap to his teammate yesterday, and he’ll be aiming to convert it into 3-straight victories! Oscar Piastri will have to settle for second after failing to beat his Q2 time (or even his SQ3 time) whilst Charles Leclerc did a great job to get his Ferrari into third! Max Verstappen will start 4th, ahead of a brilliant Alex Albon, whilst George Russell recovered to get his Mercedes into P6! Yuki Tsunoda pulled out his best performance in a long time to take 7th for Red Bull, ahead of the two Racing Bulls of Isack Hadjar and Liam Lawson (who did amazingly by the way), and it was Gabriel Bortoleto who rounded out the Top 10 with another strong performance!
