Lando Norris’ Home Win Dream

Lando Norris enters Silverstone with more fanfare than ever, I mean he literally has his own grandstand now! When you then add the fact that this year’s McLaren is by far the best car on the Grid, this is Lando Norris’ best chance so far to win at home! Lando has gone very well around Silverstone in the past, picking up 2 Podiums in the last 2 years whilst also brilliantly Qualifying on the Front Row in 2023! Norris knows it’s not going to be easy this weekend, particularly when it comes to his teammate, but with 3 weeks off after this, it’s important for Lando to edge out Oscar Piastri to take another crucial win!

Oliver Bearman’s First British Grand Prix

Oliver Bearman has been the British driver to watch when it comes to the Junior Formulas over the past few years, with his pace apparent, and backing from Ferrari making him hard to ignore! Ollie climbed the ranks, winning ADAC and Italian F4 (both in 2021) whilst also performing strongly in both Formula 3 and Formula 2! Now, Bearman’s big moments came last year when he brilliantly substituted in for Ferrari at Saudi Arabia and Haas in Azerbaijan, scoring points on both occasions, and now the Brit has a full-time seat as a result! Now, 2025 hasn’t been the easiest of Rookie seasons for Oliver Bearman; he hasn’t scored points in any of the last 7 weekends, but that doesn’t mean he can’t give it a right old go this time around in his first-ever British Grand Prix!

Special Silverstone Liveries

With Silverstone being a Home Race for a lot of the teams, it’s not uncommon to see some Special Liveries here, and guess what, we’ve got that again! Starting with Williams, they’ve implemented the Union Jack flag colours into their livery, it looks quite nice, and Racing Bulls have gone really out there with their design, I don’t even know how to explain it, it’s really unique! Now, the big difference comes with McLaren, as they have brought back the chrome once again (whilst also debuting special black suits)! It’s shiny, that’s for damn certain!

George Russell’s Seeking Redemption

George Russell enters Silverstone probably the least liked of all the home drivers, but that doesn’t mean he won’t have an awful lot of support pushing him along! George Russell has had strong success at Silverstone in the past, winning twice in F4, once in European F3, once in GP3, and also scoring two P2 finishes in Formula 2! However, it hasn’t exactly been the best of hunting grounds for George, with only the one points-scoring finish (P5 in 2023)! Now, this year feels like a bit of a redemption year for Russell, with last year’s Race ended early due to a rare mechanical failure! It was a weekend that saw the Brit take a brilliant Pole Position, and he could’ve easily been in contention for the win had those reliability issues not occurred! It’s going to be tough, but if Britain decides to cool down a bit, George Russell could be right in the fight!

Lewis Hamilton’s First Silverstone in Red!

Lewis Hamilton has always been the most beloved figure around Silverstone, even if he was being booed in other countries for being supremely dominant, Silverstone would always treat Lewis like a king, whether that be at McLaren or Mercedes! Lewis is a 9-time winner around here, with the most iconic of those wins probably coming last year when he finally returned to the top step for the first time in over 2 and a half years! However, it’s a new era for Hamilton and his fans, as the black and silver is replaced with the scarlet red of Ferrari! It’s not been an easy time for the 7-time World Champion recently, his transition to the Scuderia hasn’t exactly gone to plan, but that doesn’t matter because Lewis won here last year in arguably his worst season to date, he got a Podium here when Mercedes were really struggling in 2022, so anything is possible!
