After 3 close Practice sessions, it was all to play for heading into Qualifying for the Canadian Grand Prix!

Q1
In Qualifying 1, Gabriel Bortoleto, Carlos Sainz, Lance Stroll, Liam Lawson, and Pierre Gasly were the five slowest drivers! Gabby Bortoleto will be gutted to have missed out on Q2 by just 7 thousandths of a second whilst Carlos Sainz was absolutely furious after being blocked on his final flying lap! The timing of the Red Flag hurt Lance Stroll as the hometown hero could only manage 18th, ahead of the Racing Bulls of Liam Lawson, whilst Pierre Gasly had an absolute shocker to end up last! It was a McLaren 1-2 in Q1, with Lando Norris a tenth clear of teammate Oscar Piastri!

Q2
In Qualifying 2, Yuki Tsunoda, Franco Colapinto, Nico Hulkenberg, Oliver Bearman, and Esteban Ocon all failed to make it into the Top 10 shootout! It was not a great day for Yuki Tsunoda, and a 10-place Grid penalty for overtaking under a Red Flag in FP3 means he’ll start last (again)! Franco Colapinto did a much better job to get his Alpine into P12, ahead of the Kick Sauber of Nico Hulkenberg, whilst the Haas duo of Oliver Bearman and Esteban Ocon qualified 14th and 15th respectively! George Russell topped Q2 for Mercedes, but not by much over Norris!

Q3
In Qualifying 3, a 1:10.899 was enough for George Russell to take a cracking first Pole Position of the season! George absolutely smashed it here, he was the only driver to get into the 1-minute 10s, and he’s totally deserved this moment! Max Verstappen did a great job to get his Red Bull into P2, ahead of the McLaren of Oscar Piastri, whilst Andrea Kimi Antonelli came out of nowhere to take P4! Lewis Hamilton will start 5th for Ferrari, ahead of Fernando Alonso who did an incredible job for Aston Martin, whilst we then have a very gloomy 4th Row in the form of Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc, with both guys messing up their final runs! Isack Hadjar did another great job to qualify 9th, albeit he’ll start 3 places lower due to a Grid drop, and it was Alex Albon who rounded out the Top 10 for Williams!
