With speed being the predominant word regarding Monza, it’s the perfect home for a Qualifying Session as Ferrari tried to give the Tifosi something to cheer for ahead of tomorrow’s Italian Grand Prix!

Q1

In Qualifying 1, Isack Hadjar, Lance Stroll, Franco Colapinto, Pierre Gasly, and Liam Lawson were the five slowest drivers! Isack Hadjar’s 100% streak of making it out of Q1 finally came to an end, just a week after the highs of a Podium in Zandvoort, whilst Lance Stroll was eliminated despite being less than 5 tenths off P1! Alpine’s expected struggles came true today, but with Franco Colapinto getting ahead of Pierre Gasly (that’s an important result), whilst Liam Lawson ended up last after a tricky day! George Russell managed to somehow top Q1 on a set of medium tyres, just ahead of Max Verstappen!

Q2

In Qualifying 2, Oliver Bearman, Nico Hulkenberg, Carlos Sainz, Alex Albon, and Esteban Ocon all failed to make it into the Top 10 shootout! Oliver Bearman was so unlucky to miss out on Q3 by just 13 thousandths of a second, whilst Nico Hulkenberg was once again outqualified by his Rookie teammate! Williams were disappointing today, with Carlos Sainz beating Alex Albon in a 7th Row lockout, whilst Esteban Ocon was also knocked out in the other Haas! It was Verstappen’s turn to take P1 in this session, ahead of the other Mercedes of Andrea Kimi Antonelli!

Q3

In Qualifying 3, a rapid 1:18.792 was enough for Max Verstappen to take another terrific Pole Position! Max has shown time and time again that he is the best driver when it comes to coping with a car with minimum wings, and that’s why he’s taken a splendid Pole Position! Now, can he win tomorrow? Lando Norris will ultimately take beating teammate Oscar Piastri to second place, ahead of Charles Leclerc, whilst the other Ferrari of Lewis Hamilton will drop back to 10th due to his 5-place penalty! George Russell wasn’t exactly pleased with Mercedes’ decision not to run a medium tyre for his final flying lap, and he will have teammate Andrea Kimi Antonelli for company on Row 3 tomorrow (just 43 thousandths between them)! Gabriel Bortoleto did a fantastic job to get his Kick Sauber into Q3, although he might have hoped for more than P8, same with Fernando Alonso in the Aston Martin, whilst Yuki Tsunoda did make it into Q3, albeit 7 tenths off his teammate’s pace!
