For the final time for a while, Qualifying for the Spanish Grand Prix took place around the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya as drivers looked to shine following the brand-new technical directive!

Q1
In Qualifying 1, Nico Hulkenberg, Esteban Ocon, Carlos Sainz, Franco Colapinto, and Yuki Tsunoda were the five slowest drivers! Nico Hulkenberg was unfortunate to miss out on a Q2 appearance by just half a tenth whilst Esteban Ocon struggled for Haas! Speaking of struggling, Carlos Sainz had an absolute shocker in his Home Race, and he will start ahead of Franco Colapinto who had a horrible bit of luck as Alpine broke down after a promising start to the session! However, the biggest disaster of the day came for Yuki Tsunoda as Yuki was slowest for Red Bull, which honestly, is absolutely unacceptable! Oscar Piastri topped Q1, a good 2 tenths clear of Max Verstappen in the other Red Bull!

Q2
In Qualifying 2, Alex Albon, Gabriel Bortoleto, Liam Lawson, Lance Stroll, and Oliver Bearman all failed to make it into the Top 10 shootout! Alex Albon will be disappointed with the fact that Williams hasn’t quite seemed to have the pace this weekend whilst Gabriel Bortoleto did a great job to qualify 12th for Kick Sauber! Liam Lawson will start P13, ahead of the Aston Martin of Lance Stroll, whilst Oliver Bearman ended up slowest in Q2 simply because he had no new sets of soft compound tyres! Piastri was once again fastest in Q2, but this time with teammate Lando Norris close behind!

Q3
In Qualifying 3, a 1:11.546 was enough for Oscar Piastri to take a storming Pole Position! Whilst the first runs were close, Oscar left the field for dead on his final run, what a stunning lap time from the current Championship leader! Lando Norris will have to settle for second in a McLaren 1-2 whilst Max Verstappen will start ahead of George Russell after both guys did exactly the same lap time (Max did his first), like that’s absolutely insane! Lewis Hamilton will start 5th for Ferrari, ahead of Andrea Kimi Antonelli who managed to pip himself in front of the other Scuderia car of Charles Leclerc! Pierre Gasly pulled out arguably the performance of the day (minus Piastri) to take a brilliant P8 for Alpine, just ahead of Isack Hadjar, whilst Fernando Alonso will start 10th in his Home Race for Aston Martin!
