2026 NFL Week 3 Preview and Predictions: Part 1

(0-2) Atlanta Falcons @ Green Bay Packers (1-1)

This week’s Thursday Night Football meeting sees the Green Bay Packers host the Atlanta Falcons! The Green Bay Packers managed to edge out the New York Jets for their first win of the season last weekend, but they do still currently find themselves bottom of the NFC North! When it comes to Atlanta, they got completely smacked by the Carolina Panthers last time out, and they currently sit bottom of the NFC South! In the end, I’d be very surprised if Green Bay doesn’t win this game! Even though Michael Penix Jr. will be an improvement at Quarterback, The Falcons are still pretty rubbish!

(0-2) Los Angeles Chargers @ Buffalo Bills (2-0)

The Buffalo Bills host a rather desperate Los Angeles Chargers to open the early window! The Buffalo Bills beat the Detroit Lions 41-31 on last week’s Thursday Night Football, and they currently lead the AFC East (as the only unbeaten team)! As for LA, they suffered another terrible loss, this time to the Las Vegas Raiders last time out, and they currently sit bottom of the AFC West! In the end, Buffalo might win this by a landslide! The Bills are flying right now, whilst The Chargers look like an absolute shambles!

(1-1) Carolina Panthers @ Cleveland Browns (1-1)

The Cleveland Browns actually managed to win a game last weekend against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but they do currently sit bottom of the AFC North! As for Carolina, they smashed the Atlanta Falcons 34-3 last time out, and they currently lead the NFC South! In the end, I will back The Panthers to win again! Even though Cleveland have already beaten one NFC South side, Carolina’s offense looks pretty damn strong after 2 weeks!

(1-1) New York Jets @ Detroit Lions (1-1)

The Detroit Lions came up short against the Buffalo Bills in Week 2’s Thursday Night Football, and they currently find themselves second in the NFC North! As for New York, they suffered a frustrating overtime loss to the Green Bay Packers last time out, and they currently sit third in the AFC East! In the end, I’m going to back Detroit to get back to winning ways! The Jets missed a golden opportunity to go 2-0 last week, and I think they’re going to pay for it against a Lions team eager to right some wrongs!

(0-2) Houston Texans @ Indianapolis Colts (0-2)

The Indianapolis Colts were unlucky to lose in overtime at Kansas City on Sunday Night Football, and they currently find themselves bottom of the AFC South! As for Houston, they lost again last time out against the Cincinnati Bengals, and they currently sit third in the AFC South! In the end, I’m actually going to go with The Colts to win this game! I haven’t been at all impressed with Houston so far this season, and I think Indy can sting them!

(2-0) Kansas City Chiefs @ Miami Dolphins (0-2)

The Miami Dolphins got their asses kicked by the San Francisco 49ers last time out, and they currently sit bottom of the AFC East (as the only team without a win)! As for Kansas City, they managed to get over the line with an overtime win over the Indianapolis Colts in last weekend’s Sunday Night Football, and they currently lead the AFC West! In the end, this should be an easy win for The Chiefs! It doesn’t get much easier than a game against The Dolphins!

(0-2) Tennessee Titans @ New York Giants (1-1)

Both the New York Giants and the Tennessee Titans are going to be desperate to pick up a win from this game! The New York Giants got thrashed 28-6 by the Los Angeles Rams on Monday Night (while also losing their Quarterback), and they currently find themselves second in the NFC East! As for Tennessee, they lost late to the Philadelphia Eagles last time out, and yet they currently sit second in the AFC South! In the end, I’m actually going to surprise everyone by picking The Titans to win! With Jaxson Dart out for the season, I’m anticipating that The Giants are going to struggle massively, which should open the door for Tennessee to finally win a game after coming so close a few days ago!

(1-1) New England Patriots @ Jacksonville Jaguars (1-1)

The biggest game of the early window sees two Super Bowl hopefuls collide in the form of the Jacksonville Jaguars and the New England Patriots! The Jacksonville Jaguars let a potential massive road win in Denver slip last time out, but they do still currently lead the AFC South (as the only team with a win to their name)! As for New England, they picked up their first victory of the season last weekend against the Pittsburgh Steelers (3-20), and they currently sit second in the AFC East! In the end, I think The Jags might win this game! I think this is an incredibly difficult game to call, so I’m going to trust my first instincts and go with the hosts!
