NXT North American Championship: Ricky Saints VS Ethan Page

The first NXT since a ground-breaking Battleground kicked off with Ricky Saints putting his NXT North American Championship on the line against Ethan Page! There was security surrounding the ringside area throughout this match, and they were very much needed as Ethan and Ricky brawled like there’s no tomorrow! At one point, Ava had to come down to tell the referee that she needed to see a decisive winner, basically turning this match into No DQ, and it was just wild! Both guys brawled over the announce table at one point, completely wiping out the commentary desk, but this opened the door for Page to deliver a nasty cutter to send Saints crashing throat-first onto an exposed steel chair! Ethan then continued to target the throat of Ricky, not allowing the North American Champion to breathe for any longer than about 3 seconds, and amazingly, after a rope shot to the throat, All Ego delivered Twisted Grin to The Revolution to get the win and shockingly become the brand-new NXT North American Champion! This was a complete and utter shock, I’m not sure anyone expected this, but this was all really good overall!

Mike Santana VS Tavion Heights, Trick Williams Promo, Jaida Parker VS Tatum Paxley

Fatal Influence were once again bickering backstage as Jazmyn Nyx questioned what has changed since she left before Yoshiki Inamura told Josh Briggs that they need to aim for more than just the NXT Tag Team Championships! Mike Santana was then out next to make his NXT in-ring debut against Tavion Heights! Since watching TNA, Mike Santana has definitely stood out as one of the top guys over there, he carries himself very highly, and he is talented in the ring! The crowd also clearly knew who he was as the cheered for Mike throughout, and he was going against a good opponent in Tavion Heights, someone that is very good at making others look good! As expected, Santana was able to get the win via Spin the Block, and this isn’t the last time we’ll see him on NXT moving forward!

Wes Lee said it’s time for The High Ryze to rise before Andre Chase told Kale Dixon and Uriah Connors that they need to stop taking so many risks, so they took this advice and asked for a match next week, which Ava gave them against DarkState! Mr. Chase is screwed! Luca Crusifino then tried to explain himself to Tony D’Angelo, but The Don wasn’t buying any of it before Trick Williams came out to cut his first promo as the brand-new TNA World Champion! Trick said people must feel really stupid after backing Joe Hendry for so long, and that he is a bigger star than anyone else who has held the TNA World Title in the past! Williams also said that it’s time to turn his back on the people, simply because they did that to him first, and it’s time for TNA to be known as “TrickNA”! This brought out Mike Santana who wasn’t impressed by the new Champion dissing his brand, and Santana sees Trick Williams as a pretender, both in life, and as a Champion! Santino Marella then appeared on the titantron to confirm that next week, Trick Williams will defend his TNA World Championship against Mike Santana, and I’m honestly surprised they’re doing this so early given Santana is a genuine contender to win that Title!

Ava confirmed that Stephanie Vaquer will be in a Tag Team Match at World’s Collide, and Lola Vice agreed to be her partner! An even more twisted version of Tatum Paxley then arrived as she was ready to go one-on-one with Jaida Parker! This match didn’t last too long, it was basically Tatum fighting with her own head, she is not taking certain people leaving particularly well! Because of this, Jaida Parker took full advantage and delivered a Hypnotic to get the win!

Jasper Troy VS Dante Chen, Ethan Page Gets Interrupted

After a video package for Jasper Troy, the winner of Season 1 of LFG made his proper NXT debut against Dante Chen! This was all about Troy, he dominated Dante for the most part, of course Chen got a bit of offense in, he’s always fun to watch, but this was about Jasper making a statement, and I’d say he did that! After Troy got the win, Oba Femi appeared on the Podium/platform area, saying he now has the NXT Champion’s attention! Interesting!

Charlie Dempsey made it clear that he wants both Myles Borne and Tavion Heights to go back to being Tag Team competitors, but Myles doesn’t want to go backwards after Battleground! Because of this, Borne and Dempsey will go at it in a Rounds Match next week, and if Myles wins, he can leave the No Quarter Catch Crew! This seems a little sudden to me, but okay! Ethan Page then decided he’d make his second appearance of the night as he wanted to celebrate his NXT North American Championship victory! However, this celebration was immediately cut off by Je’Von Evans who told Ethan that he will be challenging him for the NXT North American Title at World’s Collide! This then saw the arrival of Laredo Kid as the Triple A star entered the fray to make it a Triple Threat match! However, it’s actually going to be a Fatal 4-Way as Rey Fenix will also being challenge for Page’s NA Title, and this was just crazy! I mean, that match could be absolute fire, but what did All Ego do to deserve this?!

NXT Women’s Championship: Stephanie Vaquer VS Jacy Jayne

After Ava made it clear to Stevie Turner that Sean Legacy will face the winner of the NXT North American Title Fatal 4-Way, and Sol Ruca and Zaria tried to offer a shoulder for Tatum Paxley, it was Main Event time as Stephanie Vaquer put her NXT Women’s Championship on the line against Jacy Jayne! This was a pretty solid match, nothing too amazing, nothing bad either! Fatal Influence were not on the same page, Jacy and Fallon Henley continued to bicker at each other, and they even both pushed Jazmyn Nyx over after Nyx tried to smooth things over! However, after the referee got distracted, Fallon delivered a faint kick to Stephanie before Jacy delivered the Rolling Encore to somehow get the win! Yes, you read that right, Jacy Jayne pinned Stephanie Vaquer to become the brand-new NXT Women’s Champion! What on earth have I watched the last couple of days, NXT is absolutely bonkers, but I love it! Stephanie has to go up to the Main Roster now, it’s the only thing that makes sense, but I am actually happy for Jacy, this was quite cool!
