Jaida Parker VS Jazmyn Nyx
After another video celebrating the life of Hulk Hogan, this week’s edition of NXT kicked off with Jaida Parker taking on Jazmyn Nyx! Jazmyn was adamant that she was going to prove to the rest of Fatal Influence that she’s a “baddie” who can take on anyone, but that’s not exactly how this match went! Besides delivering the NYX Kick, Jazmyn got dominated by Jaida, with Miss Parker eventually connecting with Hypnotic to score the win! Jacy Jayne and Fallon Henley were not impressed!

Je’Von Evans Gets Interrupted, Charlie Dempsey VS Tavion Heights, Blake Monroe Promo
After Je’Von Evans bumped into both Wes Lee and Chase University backstage, The Young O.G. headed down to the ring to call out the “biggest dog in the yard”! However, the person who answered the call happened to be Trick Williams, with Trick stating that he is the top guy on both NXT and TNA, and that Je’Von doesn’t want to step to him! Evans responded by saying he was actually talking about Oba Femi before Wes Lee arrived (along with The High Ryze) to back up their buddy Trick! This eventually led to Wes laying out Je’Von with the Kardiak Kick, setting up a match for later in the show!

Chase University were adamant that if they attacked Hank and Tank with a pair of steel chairs, they would get themselves a shot at the NXT Tag Team Championships! Instead, Hank and Tank just agreed to give them a shot anyway as they like Mr. Chase! The No Quarter Catch Crew’s music then hit as Charlie Dempsey faced off with Tavion Heights for the second time this month! Just like last time, if Tavion won, he’d be out of the group! Unlike last time, Wren Sinclair wasn’t hanging around with a towel, and that meant we actually got a decent little match! Ultimately, Heights was able to pin Dempsey to officially leave the NQCC, and I honestly have no idea what’s next for any of them!
Grade: C+
Trick Williams was talking to Wes Lee about becoming “2-Title Trick” before Santino Marella told them that he’s going to end the night as the NXT North American Champion! Blake Monroe was then out next as she talked about what a real Champion looks like! Unfortunately, that’s not Jordynne Grace, but it is Blake Monroe! However, this brought out Lola Vice who tried to teach Blake what a “real star” looks like before Jaida Parker once again appeared stating that she is the best! Jordynne Grace’s music then hit to the shock of Blake Monroe, but instead, it was just Kelani Jordan! This eventually started a brawl which saw Kelani and Lola send Parker and Monroe to the outside, and yeah, I’m guessing this could lead to a Tag Team match down the line!

Fallon Henley VS Lash Legend, Je’Von Evans VS Wes Lee

Izzi Dame wasn’t too thrilled with the idea of Tatum Paxley wanting to go after the NXT Women’s North American Championship, but Shawn Spears then appeared to say he’d done exactly that for next week’s show! Lash Legend was then out next as she was set to go one-on-one with Fallon Henley! This was a good match, these are two of the best female performers in NXT, and I thought they had good chemistry! Lash is an absolute beast; she should be running through everyone whilst Fallon should be doing more! Surprisingly, Fallon Henley actually won this match, but that was thanks to Lash Legend being attacked by none other than Nia Jax! After the match was over, Jax wrecked Legend with an Annihilator, and having Nia in NXT is very cool!

Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura weren’t happy with each other backstage before a frustrated Inamura punched Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo! Je’Von Evans was then out for revenge in his next match against Wes Lee! This was a great match, this was more like it when it comes to superb TV matches! It feels like we haven’t had one for a while, but you can always rely on Wes Lee, a guy that really should be in the Main Event scene! Je’Von Evans is also awesome, some of the dives both men took were crazy, and the fact that Evans’ foot touched the rope after Lee delivered the Kardiak Kick was brilliant! In the end, The Young O.G. was able to put The Kardiak Kid down with a ridiculous Cutter, but yeah, this was wonderful!

NXT North American Championship: Ethan Page VS Santino Marella
After another inspirational sit-down interview with Myles Borne and Lexis King calling Myles “a conman”, it was Main Event time as Ethan Page put his newly decorated NXT North American Championship on the line against Santino Marella! This match got probably 8 or 9 minutes, and in no way, shape or form, should this have been the Main Event! However, it was fun, it was ridiculous and downright stupid at times, but it was still fun! The fact that Santino was trying to represent the good people of Canada whilst coming down with his Italian titantron is very good, and Ethan Page is always fantastic! After the referee stopped Marella from using the cobra, Page went to the eyes and then delivered a Twisted Grin to the TNA Director of Authority to score the win and retain his North American Title! All Ego is killing it right now!
