Blake Monroe VS Jaida Parker: Street Fight

The final Premium Live Event before Stand and Deliver, NXT Vengeance Day, kicked off with a Street Fight between Jaida Parker and Blake Monroe! This was a fun opener, with both women leaning hard into the stipulation! Both Blake and Jaida were dressed in all-black, with Parker really going at Monroe with steel chairs and kendo sticks! There was also a really good table bump when Miss Parker dropped all of her bodyweight onto Monroe, but a following Hipnotic could only produce a 2-count! Late on in the match, Blake Monroe introduced “diamonds”, and a nasty landing for Jaida Parker, followed by a DDT, was enough for The Glamour to get the victory! I don’t know why I said Miss Parker would win here; Blake makes a lot more sense!

Dion Lennox VS Tony D’Angelo

The battle between Dion Lennox and Tony D’Angelo started before we even got to the arena, as Tony started a brawl with DarkState in the death zone known as the NXT Parking Lot! I have to say, this was awesomely done, with it being shot like a cinematic match! As someone who quite enjoyed the way WWE looked during the Covid era, this was cool to see! Eventually, D’Angelo and Lennox would find their way into the NXT arena, with the match finally getting underway about 6 minutes after they’d first started fighting! We also got a great table spot, with them going from the crowd through a table, and I have to say, what on earth has Tony D’Angelo done to his hair?! Personally, I love it! Eventually, Tony D was able to come out victorious (which is sort of an interesting result if you ask me), but ultimately, this was very well executed!

NXT Women’s North American Championship: Izzi Dame VS Tatum Paxley

Another chapter in the rivalry between Izzi Dame and Tatum Paxley commenced with the NXT Women’s North American Championship on the line! Bell-to-Bell, this was the match of the night for me! Yes, D’Angelo-Lennox was by far the best when it came to production, but the actual in-ring action here was great (in my opinion)! Tatum Paxley has been a star for years, just waiting for her opportunity, whilst Izzi Dame has improved so much over recent times (and that’s coming from someone who enjoyed her work with Kiana James)! The near-fall following a distraction from The Culling was great, and so was Paxley’s cartwheel reversal! Speaking of, that led into the finish, as Tatum nailed Izzi with Cemetery Drive to become the brand-new NXT Women’s North American Champion! I’m very happy for Paxley, but I do wonder where Dame is supposed to go from here?!

Mr. Stone’s NXT Women’s Championship Announcement

Robert Stone was in the ring next to address the future of the NXT Women’s Championship, with Stone welcoming out Jacy Jayne and Fatal Influence! Jacy gloated all about her achievements, with her making a great case for why she deserves to Main Event Stand and Deliver this year! This brought out Zaria, who laughed at the fact that Jayne thinks she would’ve retained on Tuesday had it not been for Sol Ruca, whilst Sol then showed up to say that she’s the only person who deserves a shot at the NXT Women’s Title! Finally, Mr. Stone was able to get his announcement out, but instead of this Triple Threat taking place at NXT’s biggest show of the year, it’s going to take place next week in Houston, Texas! Not only was this segment poorly done, but why on earth are we going to take the Title off Jacy Jayne just two weeks before NXT Stand and Deliver?! That’s an appalling idea!

Lola Vice VS Kelani Jordan: NXT Underground

After an epic hype package, Lola Vice and Kelani Jordan went one-on-one inside NXT Underground! The video package for this match would make you feel like it should’ve been the Main Event; the history between Lola and Kelani is long, and whilst I don’t enjoy the concept of NXT Underground, it did work for this feud! However, for some unknown reason, this match didn’t even reach the 7-minute mark! After all this hype, an overconfident Kelani Jordan just got knocked out by a wicked Lola Vice backfist! I understand that Kelani kept mocking Lola’s family, but after everything that this feud has been, for Vice to win so easily is really underwhelming!

NXT Championship: Joe Hendry VS Ricky Saints

And in the Main Event of NXT Vengeance Day 2026, Joe Hendry and Ricky Saints collided with the NXT Championship on the line! This was the longest match on this show, and whilst it was fine, it very much felt like Part 1 in this story! Neither guy went all in here to win, with the only real moment of jeopardy coming after a low-blow/Revolution DDT combo resulted in a close near-fall! Going back to what I was saying before, all of this came from Ethan Page arriving at ringside, with Ethan clearly more focused on the NXT Title itself than helping Ricky win it back! Page clearly knows that he needs to become a 2-time NXT Champion, not Saints, and that’s why I don’t feel like he’ll be too annoyed that Joe Hendry eventually retained with a Standing Ovation! I do like the fact that Hendry cheated to win here; it means that both Saints and Page have been screwed out of Championship Gold, and this surely is leading to a Triple Threat at NXT’s biggest show of the year!
