Reacting to My 2025 NFL Predictions Over the Course of the Regular Season

Throughout the entirety of the 2025 NFL Regular Season, I have made predictions for every single game during my Preview articles! As a result, I have my own set of Regular Season standings to go over as both Prediction reactions, but also to see what the league could’ve looked like had I gotten everything correct! You’ll also realise quickly which teams I did/didn’t have faith in! So, as always, let’s start with the AFC East!
AFC East
In the AFC East, I predicted the Buffalo Bills to win their Division with a record of 15-2! I usually get Buffalo correct, but not this year as The Bills ended up second with a record of 12-5! In second place, I had the New England Patriots to finish 13-4! The Patriots actually did better than this, going 14-3 to win the AFC East! I then had the Miami Dolphins to finish third with a 9-8 record! Now, whilst Miami did end up third, they only attained a 7-10 record! And finally, I had the New York Jets to finish bottom of the AFC East with a stunning 0-17 record! This is only the second time that I’ve ever gone an entire season without predicting a team to win a game, and I wasn’t to be correct as The Jets ended up winning 3 games! In terms of the Playoffs, I had the Buffalo Bills as the Number 2 seed (10-2 VS AFC), and the New England Patriots as the Number 6 seed! However, what actually happened was these two teams swapped positions, so that’s actually kind of impressive!
AFC North
In the AFC North, I predicted the Baltimore Ravens to win their Division with a record of 8-9! In fairness to me, Baltimore did end up 8-9, but that was only good enough for second spot! In second place, I had the Cincinnati Bengals also at 8-9, but their record against their division was worse than The Ravens’! I was also not correct here, as The Bengals finished third with a record of just 6-11! I then had the Pittsburgh Steelers to finish third with a 6-11 record! I was well off with Pittsburgh, as their 10-7 record was enough for them to win the AFC North! And finally, I had the Cleveland Browns to finish bottom of the AFC North with a pretty weak 2-15 record! The Browns did manage to win 5 games, but they still ended up last in their division! In terms of the Playoffs, I had the Baltimore Ravens as the Number 4 seed! However, what actually happened was The Ravens didn’t make the Playoffs whilst The Steelers got in as the AFC’s Number 4 seed!
AFC South
In the AFC South, I predicted the Houston Texans to win their Division with a record of 12-5! Once again, The Texans did finish 12-5, but it wasn’t enough for them to win their division! In second place, I had the Jacksonville Jaguars to finish 10-7! In fairness to Jacksonville, they did a much better job than I anticipated, with The Jags winning the AFC South following a record of 13-4! I then had the Indianapolis Colts to finish third with a 7-10 record! I was just off with The Colts, as they remained third, but with an 8-9 record! And finally, I had the Tennessee Titans to finish bottom of the AFC South, also with a horrific 0-17 record! Just like The Jets, Tennessee managed to win 3 games! In terms of the Playoffs, I had the Houston Texans as the Number 3 seed, and the Jacksonville Jaguars as the Number 7 seed! However, what actually happened is The Texans had to settle for the Number 5 seed whilst The Jags took the Number 3 seed!
AFC West
In the AFC West, I predicted the Denver Broncos to win their Division with a record of 15-2! I was right in predicting Denver to win the AFC West, but they actually ended up 14-3! In second place, I had the Los Angeles Chargers to finish 14-3! Once again, the LA Chargers did finish second, but I was slightly too high on them as The Chargers finished 11-6! I then had the Kansas City Chiefs to finish third with an 8-9 record! Rather unsurprisingly, I “overestimated” The Chiefs as the only managed 6 wins in the 2025 NFL Season! And finally, I had the Las Vegas Raiders to finish bottom of the AFC West with a 4-13 record! Whilst I got every position correct in this division, I didn’t manage to get a correct record as The Raiders only went 3-14! In terms of the Playoffs, I had the Denver Broncos as the Number 1 seed (11-1 VS AFC), and the Los Angeles Chargers as the Number 5 seed! What actually happened was The Broncos did end up with the AFC’s Number 1 seed, but The Chargers could only take the AFC’s final seed!
NFC East
In the NFC East, I predicted the Philadelphia Eagles to win their Division with a record of 13-4! I was correct when it came to Philly winning the NFC East, but they “only” ended up with an 11-6 record! In second place, I had the Dallas Cowboys to finish 9-8! Now, whilst The Cowboys did finish second, they could only achieve a disappointing 7-9-1 record! I then had the Washington Commanders to finish third with a 6-11 record! I nearly got this one correct, with The Commanders going 5-12 (to finish third in their division)! And finally, I had the New York Giants to finish bottom of the NFC East with a 3-14 record! This was going to be correct, but a final game victory saw The Giants end up 4-13 (sad times)! In terms of the Playoffs, I had the Philadelphia Eagles as the Number 2 seed! However, what actually happened was The Eagles had to settle for the NFC’s Number 3 seed!
NFC North
In the NFC North, I predicted the Chicago Bears to win their Division with a record of 11-6! Finally, I’ve managed to pull off a fully correct prediction as an 11-6 record was enough for Chicago to win the NFC North! In second place, I had the Detroit Lions to finish 10-7! Detroit’s 9-8 record was only slightly worse than what I’d predicted, but positioning wise, The Lions finished bottom of this division! I then had the Green Bay Packers to finish third, also with a 10-7 record, but they ended up behind The Lions due to having a worse divisional record! Ironically, The Packers won one less game than this (going 9-7-1) but actually finished one place higher than I predicted! And finally, I had the Minnesota Vikings to finish bottom of the NFC North with a 9-8 record! Amazingly, Minnesota did actually go 9-8, but they finished above Detroit! Honestly, I’m very impressed that I was correct in having every NFC North team to end up with a winning record! Anyway, in terms of the Playoffs, I had the Chicago Bears as the Number 4 seed (6-6 VS NFC), and the Detroit Lions as the Number 7 seed! However, what actually happened was The Bears were good enough for the NFC’s Number 2 seed, whilst The Packers were the ones who took the NFC’s final Playoff spot!
NFC South
In the NFC South, I predicted the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to win their Division with a record of 11-6! The Buccaneers ended up doing a lot worse than I anticipated, finishing second with only an 8-9 record! In second place, I had the Carolina Panthers to finish 6-11! Whilst they only managed to win 2 more games than I predicted, that was actually enough for Carolina to win the NFC South! I then had the Atlanta Falcons to finish third, also with a 6-11 record, but they ended up being behind The Panthers due to a worse divisional record! The Falcons did end up third, but with 8 wins to their name! And finally, I had the New Orleans Saints to finish bottom of the NFC South with a 3-14 record! In fairness to The Saints, their positive end of season form allowed them to end up 6-11 (whilst still finishing last)! In terms of the Playoffs, I had the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as the Number 3 seed (8-4 VS NFC)! However, what actually happened is The Bucs missed the Playoffs entirely, whilst The Panthers got in as the Number 4 seed!
NFC West
In the NFC West, I predicted the San Francisco 49ers to win their Division with a record of 15-2! I was perhaps slightly too over mistic with The 49ers (particularly in the earlier part of the year) as they ended up finishing third with a 12-5 record! In second place, I had the Los Angeles Rams to finish 13-4! Now, the LA Rams did end up second in this division, but with one less win at 12-5! I then had the Seattle Seahawks to finish third with a 12-5 record! Whilst the margins are tight, I was again wrong as The Seahawks ended up winning the NFC West with a record of 14-3! And finally, I had the Arizona Cardinals to finish bottom of the NFC West with a 3-14 record! This was actually spot on, so I’m pretty happy about that! In terms of the Playoffs, I had the San Francisco 49ers as the Number 1 seed, the Los Angeles Rams as the Number 5 seed, and the Seattle Seahawks as the Number 6 seed! However, what actually happened is whilst I did manage to get The Rams in the correct place, The 49ers and The Seahawks actually swapped places (with Seattle getting the NFC’s Number 1 seed)!
