Reacting to My 2025 WWE Predictions

At the start of 2025, I predicted every WWE Superstar’s 2025 in 3 Words or Less! Now we’ve made it to 2026, it means it’s officially time to react to said Predictions! As there are far too many wrestlers to go over every single prediction I made, instead, we’re going to react to my Top 10 Best and Worst Predictions from 2025 (which was hard to do because I had a lot of bad predictions)! So, sit back and enjoy this rather interesting set of Predictions!

My 10th-worst Prediction was that Finn Balor would finally get a singles run! It’s sort of become a joke that Finn Balor is still stuck in Tag Team action, but that just means this prediction wasn’t close (better luck next year?)!
My 10th-best Prediction was that Sol Ruca would finally win Championship Gold! I had multiple people that I said this for, but it’s kind of a relief that this one came true! Also, Sol won 2 Titles, meaning she did even better than I expected!
My 9th-worst Prediction was that Cedric Alexander would have a successful Heel run! This is quite a comical one, as not only did Cedric never even turn Heel, but he was released by WWE in early February!
My 9th-best Prediction was that Myles Borne would have a Breakout Year! This definitely came true; Myles was a nominee for Breakout Star of the Year, and having a Championship match against Oba Femi (plus beating Trick Williams) certainly puts him in that category!
My 8th-worst Prediction was that Carmella would return in a Faction! The reason this is so bad is not only did Carmella never appear on WWE TV once in 2025, but she also went on to have a second child after being released by the company! Congrats to Mella!
My 8th-best Prediction was that Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo would screw over The Don! This very much happened, with Stacks turning on Tony D’Angelo at NXT Stand and Deliver! In fairness to Stacks, that seems to have helped his career out a lot!
My 7th-worst Prediction was that Carmelo Hayes would beat John Cena! I think this was more hope than anything, as Melo didn’t have any interaction with Cena throughout the entirety of 2025, making this prediction pretty impossible to become true!
My 7th-best Prediction was that Thea Hail would finally win Gold! Amazingly, this did come true, but not because it was planned! Instead, a botched finish resulted in Thea dethroning Blake Monroe for the NXT Women’s North American Championship, and hey, I’ll take it after seeing this!
My 6th-worst Prediction was that Blair Davenport would appear more often! There’s an argument to be made that this is my worst prediction entirely, with Blair not making a single appearance all year as she was released from the company in February! However, I’ve only put it 6th as it’s not like BD was particularly a big deal in the company (unfortunately)!
My 6th-best Prediction was that Kelani Jordan would turn Heel! I tell you, this is quite a good one because Kelani didn’t feel like someone who could play a bad guy role at the start of 2025, but she did, and in fairness to Jordan, I think she’s done quite well!
My 5th-worst Prediction was that Drew McIntyre would get a proper Championship run! This one hurts a little, but it’s obviously not true, with Drew losing multiple opportunities when it comes to dethroning Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship!
My 5th-best Prediction was that Alexa Bliss would return at the Royal Rumble! When I made these predictions, we hadn’t seen Alexa Bliss since the 2023 Royal Rumble, so that already tells you a lot! Also, this prediction is only as good as it is because Bliss got the loudest pop of the night (thank you, Indy)!

My 4th-worst Prediction was that Nikki Cross would wrestle more often! Like my Davenport Prediction, this couldn’t have gone more wrong, as Nikki didn’t have a single match in WWE across 2025! What makes things even worse is that it also includes Live Events (yikes)!
My 4th-best Prediction was that Jey Uso would be in the final 2 of the Men’s Royal Rumble! For some reason, people didn’t see Jey Uso as someone who could win the Men’s Royal Rumble match, let alone when I made these predictions at the start of the year! In fairness, this is 4th on the list because I didn’t fully commit with Jey here, but still, I did well!
My third-worst Prediction was that Bianca Belair would feud with Jade Cargill! I was so confident about this prediction coming true, and it didn’t matter which one of Bianca or Jade turned Heel to make this feud happen! Instead, Belair and Cargill stayed apart before The EST got injured, ruling her out for the rest of the year (minus when she refereed Cargill’s match with Naomi at Evolution)!
My third-best Prediction was that Ilja Dragunov would become a major SmackDown Star! Firstly, Ilja was out with an ACL injury when I wrote this prediction, but what’s even more impressive is the fact that The Mad Dragon was actually a Raw-branded talent! Now, considering Dragunov returned in October, won the United States Championship and was consistently the best thing on the show for the final two months of the year, I’d say that this is one of my best predictions on this list!
My second-worst Prediction was that Austin Theory would finally turn Babyface! This is really bad, mostly because Austin Theory was barely seen on television all year (besides when he challenged Oba Femi for the NXT Championship)! However, it then gets worse as Theory returned to TV, still a Heel, and alongside The Vision, the biggest bad guy group in the company! One day, I’ll get a Theory prediction correct!
My second-best Prediction was that Bronson Reed would be a Main Event Player! Yes, this is spot on, with Bronson mostly being involved in the main segments on Monday Night Raw as a part of The Vision! Oh, and Reed also beat Roman Reigns in his home country of Australia, too!
My worst Prediction of 2025 was that we wouldn’t see AJ Styles once! There are a number of reasons why this prediction is so bad! Firstly, AJ wrestled at the Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, Summerslam, and John Cena’s Final Match, whilst he also fought Cena in a cracking match at Crown Jewel in Perth, Australia! Secondly, Styles made appearances at both TNA Slammiversary and AAA TripleMania, two of the biggest non-WWE shows of the year! And to cap it off, AJ won Tag Team Gold with Dragon Lee, so whilst Styles may be The Phenomenal One, this is anything but a Phenomenal Prediction!
My best Prediction of 2025 was that Cody Rhodes wouldn’t fight The Rock! Now, there was plenty of speculation that this would happen following both WrestleMania 40 and the end of Bad Blood, and we sort of got this feud again at the start of the year when The Rock wanted Cody to be his Champion! Instead, Rocky disappeared for the rest of the year, leaving Rhodes to hold the Undisputed WWE Championship on multiple occasions! Thank you to The Rock for his lack of time!
