Roman Reigns VS Bronson Reed: Australian Street Fight

Crown Jewel 2025, live from Perth, Australia, kicked off with Roman Reigns and Bronson Reed clashing in an Aussie Street Fight! As expected, this was the usual Street Fight rules, but with the added twist of certain Aussie equipment like Footballs and Cricket Bats being used! At one point, Roman was aiming to deliver a Spear to Bronson, but instead, he got nailed by a Spear from Bron Breakker! This eventually led to The Usos running down to make the save, but this is where calamity struck as Jey Uso accidentally speared Roman Reigns through a table (after Reed dodged out of the way)! Breakker then nailed Jey with another Spear, leading to Bronson Reed nailing Reigns with a TSUNAMI to score arguably the biggest win of his WWE career! This was well deserved for Bronson Reed; what a moment for him! As for Roman Reigns, he was furious with his cousins, and that feeling of anger seemed to be mutual in the case of Jey!

Women’s Crown Jewel Championship: Tiffany Stratton VS Stephanie Vaquer

The Women’s Crown Jewel Championship was up for grabs in the second match of the night as the “WWE Women’s Champion” Tiffany Stratton clashed with the Women’s World Champion, Stephanie Vaquer! I thought this was another good match; Stephanie’s consistently putting on entertaining bouts right now, and Tiffany has always been a star! I honestly wasn’t sure which way this was going to go; it felt like Vaquer should win, but the story of Stratton staying unbeaten all year round would be a very compelling story to tell all the way till December! Ultimately, after some really good and unique offense from both women, eventually, after Tiffy failed to connect with the Prettiest Moonsault Ever, La Primera delivered a beautiful Spiral Tap to score the win, gifting Vaquer her 4th Championship of 2025! What an insane year Stephanie Vaquer is having!

Grade: B
AJ Styles VS John Cena

With both guys’ careers entering their final stretch, AJ Styles and John Cena went one-on-one to create a little magic for one final time! AJ Styles VS John Cena was one of the matches that first hooked me into Wrestling; their Summerslam 2016 contest is one of the best matches I’ve ever seen! As for this match, well this was magical in its own right! Both Styles and Cena got the very best out of each other, with a ridiculous amount of kickouts following big moves! Speaking of big moves, Cena pulled moves out of Rusev, Chris Jericho’s, and The Miz’s playbooks, whilst AJ delivered a Coquina Clutch (Samoa Joe style) and delivered a classic 450 Splash (vintage Styles)! The best part of this entire match was probably when John delivered a Sister Abigail; that was a genuinely lovely moment, and also, Styles wearing classic TNA gear was a really nice touch! Eventually, after 27 minutes of madness, John Cena delivered a Tombstone Piledriver, followed by yet another AA to finally beat The Phenomenal One! I think this match on it’s own is very strong, but with the added context of the two men in the ring, the nodes they made, the event itself, this was the best thing on Cena’s Retirement Tour!
Grade: A
Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky VS The Kabuki Warriors

After months of betrayal, Iyo Sky looked to get all her anger out as she teamed up with home-hero Rhea Ripley to take on The Kabuki Warriors! This match got a lot of time, basically 20 minutes, and that allowed for some decent in-ring action! All four women are very talented; they all play their roles well, and this was very much all about Asuka and Kairi Sane working over Iyo Sky until Rhea Ripley ran wild with the hot tag! The outcome of this match was always going to be the same, but I liked the way we got there! See, not only did Kairi sacrifice herself to protect Asuka, following a Riptide, Ripley tagged Sky in, allowing Iyo to deliver Over the Moonsault to score the pinfall victory! Now, not only was this a surprise not having Rhea get the pin at home, but it was also the right call; Iyo pinning Kairi makes more sense given the story that’s been told!
Grade: B-
Men’s Crown Jewel Championship: Cody Rhodes VS Seth “Freakin” Rollins

And in the Main Event, the “Undisputed WWE Champion” Cody Rhodes collided with the “World Heavyweight Champion” Seth “Freakin” Rollins for the Men’s Crown Jewel Championship! This was a really good Main Event; both guys are at the top of their games, and there were multiple ways that this could go! A win for Seth would be more than deserving, but a win for Cody, well that would potentially further the story of The Vision even further! The story of this match was all about Rollins losing his cool; he completely lacked any sort of focus that you would expect from the World Heavyweight Champion! However, that didn’t stop The Visionary from delivering multiple Pedigree’s, before Rhodes delivered a ridiculous Super Cross Rhodes from the top rope! Unbelievably, Seth Rollins managed to kick out, and Rollins then followed up with a pair of Stomps (including a Super Stomp) to pin The American Nightmare! It’s very rare that Cody Rhodes gets pinned, but Seth Rollins deserved this, and I would agree with his post-match thoughts; Seth really is one of the all-time greats!
