WWE Monday Night Raw Review: 28/09
The Bloodline Start the Show, Lola Vice VS Roxanne Perez
After a recap of Solo Sikoa’s abduction last week, The Bloodline made their way down to the ring as Jimmy Uso said that there’s no way back for 946 after they kidnapped Solo last week! Jacob Fatu put his hands up and said that last week was on him, but now the plan is simple: take out 946 on sight! This is when a car pulled up to the arena, with The Bloodline rushing to the parking lot to meet them, only for Jaida Parker to get out of the car! Now, Miss Parker has connections to both The Bloodline and 946, so that’s something to keep an eye on! In terms of intrigue, having Jaida show up certainly increases it!

After Penta and Je’Von Evans got themselves a match with The Judgment Day, the opening match of the night saw Lola Vice take on Roxanne Perez! These two have plenty of history together, fighting over the NXT Women’s Championship, so there were never any concerns when it came to chemistry between the two! In fact, I thought this was quite a good match between two up-and-coming talents, which the crowd seemed to get more and more invested in as it went along! To no one’s surprise, Lola Vice ended up being victorious over Roxanne Perez with a wonderful backfist, before Raquel Rodriguez attacked Lola from behind! Despite Sol Ruca trying her best to make the save, Rodriguez would eventually drop Sol with a Tejada Bomb, before Perez nailed Vice with a wonderful Pop Rox! I’m guessing we’ll get a Tag Team match next week?

Oba Femi Calls Out Bronson Reed, Big Cass VS Dragon Lee
Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee were being interviewed backstage before Big Cass threatened them both ahead of his match with Lee! Rather surprisingly, 946 managed to film a video promo during broad daylight, before Oba Femi arrived as The Ruler wanted to get some business done! Oba said that his rivalry with The Vision has only grown since the return of Bronson Reed, but he feels like Reed has failed to realise that Femi is the captain now! In Oba’s hand was a contract for a match at Money in the Bank, which Bronson quickly made his way down to the ring to sign himself! Both Bronson Reed and Oba Femi come across incredibly well, so I think that their match at MITB is going to be fascinating!
Grade: C+
After Iyo Sky and Lyra Valkyria came across too insane for Adam Pearce backstage, Dragon Lee made his way down to the ring as he went one-on-one with Big Cass! Dragon Lee is so good at what he does; I think he’s been one of the top wrestlers when it comes to my Matches of the Year articles over the past few years, but even he was unable to get a compelling match out of Big Cass! In fact, I still am yet to understand why Cass is even here; if he wins convincingly, you question why he’s beating better and more exciting talent! However, when he loses, you question why he’s losing to smaller guys! So either way, this Big Cass experiment isn’t working at all, but hey, at least Dragon Lee managed to get a win here!

Iyo Sky VS Lyra Valkyria, The Judgment Day VS Penta and Je’Von Evans
Jacob Fatu made it clear to The Usos that they all need to stick together in regards to 946, whilst Stephanie Vaquer announced a Number 1 Contender’s match next week between Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan, with the winner facing La Primera for the Women’s World Championship at Money in the Bank! Staying with the Women’s Division, two of the best female wrestlers in the world were up next as Lyra Valkyria looked to prove that she’s Championship material by taking on Iyo Sky! I would genuinely put both Iyo and Lyra in the Top 3 when it comes to the best women’s wrestlers in WWE; I think they’re both great, and I enjoyed this match quite a bit! The pace flowed well; it all felt very smooth, and it’s honestly crazy to me just how much better the Raw Women’s Division is in comparison to SmackDown’s! Eventually, after Bayley appeared on the announce table to distract Valkyria, Iyo was able to nail Lyra with an Over the Moonsault to get the win!

The Bloodline were still hanging out in their locker room before LA Knight walked in to tell them to send a message to Roman Reigns! Whilst The Usos clearly wanted to punish Knight, Jacob Fatu rightly pointed out that their focus needs to remain on 946! Rey Fenix then confirmed that he plans to defend his AAA World Cruiserweight Championship on Raw soon, whilst Ethan Page eventually got a match with Fenix as he attempts to earn his way to an Intercontinental Championship shot against Chad Gable! It was then time for the Main Event match of the night as Penta and Je’Von Evans teamed up to take on The Judgment Day! The team of Penta and Je’Von was a lot of fun; they’re two fast-paced up-and-comers (in the WWE) who will both give it their all to win Money in the Bank in less than 2 weeks’ time! The Judgment Day are also a pretty good Tag Team when they get going, although their match once again got ruined by Joe Hendry coming out and singing a song about JD McDonagh being a Funko Pop! This led to McDonagh walking down the aisle to Hendry, taking his eyes off the prize as Penta pinned Dom yet again following a Mexican Destroyer! After the match was over, Bron Breakker arrived, flooring both of his MITB rivals with good-looking Spears!

The Bloodline and 946 Come to Blows
After Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan came face-to-face backstage, the closing segment on this week’s edition of Monday Night Raw saw The Bloodline and 946 finally come to blows! The two factions met at ringside, but the fight wouldn’t stay there as The Usos and OTM would brawl to the back, whilst Royce Keys and Jacob Fatu found themselves in the parking lot! Keys actually got quite brutal, smashing the car door into the face of Fatu, before Jacob got run over by a car being driven by none other than Jaida Parker! After pretending like it was an accident, Jaida would eventually align herself with Keys, seemingly reuniting with OTM! I have to say, adding Jaida Parker to the group is very cool! However, what must Shawn Michaels be thinking, as it felt like Miss Parker was destined for a Babyface NXT Women’s Champion run!
