King of the Ring Final: Cody Rhodes VS Randy Orton

WWE Night of Champions 2025 kicked off with Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton clashing in the Final of this year’s King of the Ring Tournament! This was okay, it was a bit slow at times, but there were also some good bits! The Cody Cutter is always my favourite part of a Cody match; he nails it every time, and it also worked well with Orton catching him with an RKO for a near-fall! However, in the end, it was Randy’s hesitation to go for the kill that cost him, a miss at an attempted Punt opening the door for The American Nightmare to deliver a Cross Rhodes to get the win! I really don’t need to see Cody Rhodes fighting for the World Title again at Summerslam, but there you go!

Raquel Rodriguez VS Rhea Ripley: Street Fight

A storyline that’s dated back over 5 years took place on its biggest stage yet as Rhea Ripley and Raquel Rodriguez went to war in a Street Fight! For me, this was the match of the night, I really enjoyed it! I was thoroughly impressed with both women, Rhea is great, but Raquel really stepped up here, it felt like we were watching her back in NXT! Some of the weapon spots were brutal, particularly the one where Ripley got sent face-first into the steel steps, and we also got an appearance from Roxanne Perez! Ultimately, though, Roxy didn’t do much as Rhea was able to drop Raquel with a super Riptide to score the victory!

Sami Zayn VS Karrion Kross

The crowd was loud for the next match as Sami Zayn looked to silence the noise known as Karrion Kross! The crowd were so loud for Sami, they absolutely adored him, and it always gives me goosebumps (honestly)! The match itself was decent, it was more story-based which can work, but the crowd were so into it regardless! Karrion was actually in control for the most part, but he did a little too much talking, eventually opening the door for Zayn to deliver a Helluva Kick for the 3 count! I wonder where this story will go from here!

United States Championship: Jacob Fatu VS Solo Sikoa

Saudi Arabia was ready to host another part of The Bloodline Saga as Jacob Fatu faced Solo Sikoa with the United States Championship on the line! I thought both men did a good job; they have strong chemistry together, and the crowd was again adding to the spectacle! As expected, though, there were plenty of shenanigans as after JC Mateo showed up, Tonga Loa made his return from injury to take out Fatu, but that only caused a near-fall! Instead, it was another debuting Bloodline member that proved to be the final nail in Fatu’s coffin as Sikoa delivered a Samoan Spike to get the win and capture the United States Championship! I’m very happy for Solo, he deserved this, but I am surprised that Jacob Fatu lost his Title so early in his run!

Queen of the Ring Final: Asuka VS Jade Cargill

The penultimate match of the night saw Asuka face Jade Cargill for the right to be crowned Queen of the Ring! The crowd was fully behind Asuka throughout this, but that was partly down to the fact that they didn’t like Jade at all! The match as a whole wasn’t the best, definitely the weakest of the night, and the ending didn’t help either as Cargill won via Jaded to no crowd reaction! After the match, Jade cut a promo to celebrate becoming Queen of the Ring, but the crowd didn’t care one bit!

Undisputed WWE Championship: John Cena VS CM Punk

And in the Main Event of Night of Champions 2025, John Cena and CM Punk clashed for One Final Time for the right to be called the Undisputed WWE Champion! This match started off slowly, it felt very Roman Reigns-like, but I will say that the crowd made up for it a little because they were amazing here! Both men kicked out of each other’s finishers, but the action really started when a ref bump led to Seth “Freakin” Rollins’ music hitting! Seth ordered Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed to take out CM Punk (which they did through a table) before Rollins demanded a referee come down, only for John Cena to wipe the referee out completely in what was a hilarious spot! Cena then got in the face of Rollins before Punk helped take out Reed, opening up a moment where Punk offered his hand to Cena! John took it and embraced in a hug, only to trick Punk, but this is when Seth Rollins came back, nailing The Best in the World with both his Money in the Bank Briefcase and a Stomp! However, John Cena then took perfect advantage of this, throwing Rollins out of the ring and pinning CM Punk to get the win and leave Saudi Arabia “and still”!
