King of the Ring Final: Jey Uso VS Oba Femi

WWE Night of Champions 2026 kicked off with Jey Uso and Oba Femi colliding in the Final of the 2026 King of the Ring Tournament! The entrances were probably the best part of all of this, as the match itself wasn’t exactly that interesting! Whilst not incapable of having exciting matches, the large majority of Jey Uso singles matches have failed to deliver in recent years, whilst WWE still doesn’t want to book Oba in a match longer than 10 minutes! I think we were all just waiting for the arrival of Brock Lesnar, with The Beast surely showing up to cost The Ruler? However, that didn’t happen, as Femi just beat Uso with a Fall From Grace! I certainly didn’t see this coming, but I’m glad that I’m wrong; All Hail King Oba!

Queen of the Ring Final: Liv Morgan VS Iyo Sky

From one crown to another, Liv Morgan and Iyo Sky faced off for the right to be known as the 2026 Queen of the Ring! Before the match could begin, Danhausen showed up to gloat about having loads of “human monies”, something that Liv Morgan wasn’t happy about! Danhausen then cursed Liv, meaning the reigning Women’s World Champions’ chances of winning this match were pretty much zero before the bell had even rung! That was a shame, given that Liv is the Queen of Saudi Arabia (look at what she’s managed to achieve in that country), but it’s never a bad thing to see someone as talented as Iyo Sky succeed! The match itself was okay; it was probably slightly better than the opener, but I expect an awful lot more from their rematch at Summerslam! Because yes, Iyo did win this following an Over the Moonsault to Miss Morgan!

Bron Breakker VS Seth Rollins: Steel Cage Match

Following the first hour on ESPN, Night of Champions continued with Bron Breakker and Seth “Freakin” Rollins putting an end to their rivalry inside a Steel Cage! This was definitely the best match on this show outside of the Main Event, with Bron and Seth putting on another really strong showing! I’d argue that this was probably the weakest match of their trilogy, but a part of that may simply be down to the finish! However, before we get there, we need to talk about the ridiculous superplex that Rollins delivered from the top of the cage, sending both himself and Breakker through a table! The side of the table actually caught the face of Bron, leading to The Badass bleeding profoundly, but that just made him look like more of a beast! Bron Breakker even kicked out of a table/Pedigree/Stomp combo, only further proving himself as a formidable force, only for Seth Rollins to deliver a Super Stomp to score the win! Seth “Freakin” Rollins loses all the time; that didn’t need to change here! Bron should’ve won!

United States Championship: Trick Williams VS Ricky Saints

Ricky Saints was aiming to continue his run of winning gold at the first attempt as he challenged Trick Williams for the United States Championship! Thankfully, Michael Cole and Corey Graves did address the fact that Ricky beat Trick multiple times last year when the NXT Championship was on the line; a noteworthy fact that WWE had decided to ignore up until this point! Sadly, this match wasn’t that interesting, with the Saudi crowd not exactly caring at all! It’s actually a shame, given the fact that they reacted well to both men’s entrances, but the in-ring action clearly wasn’t doing anything for them! Despite multiple attempts to hit his big moves, Saints wasn’t able to land either a Rochambeau or the Revolution DDT, with a single Trick Shot enough for Williams to successfully retain his US Title! Trick-Melo at Summerslam?!

Women’s United States Championship: Tiffany Stratton VS Jade Cargill

From the men’s to the women’s Title, Tiffany Stratton looked to successfully retain her Women’s United States Championship against the woman who dethroned her for the WWE Women’s Championship last year, Jade Cargill! There were a couple of strong moments in this match; the knee that Jade delivered on the outside was great, whilst I remember one of the counters that Tiffany pulled off being pretty impressive! The problem with this match, however, was that there were multiple mistakes/sloppy moments, which isn’t exactly a surprise given the performers that were involved! Interestingly, after both Michin and B-Fab showed up to try and help Cargill become Champion again, both Chelsea Green and Charlotte Flair showed up to assist Stratton, with Flair whacking Jade with a weapon, opening the door for Tiffy Time to deliver a Prettiest Moonsault Ever to successfully keep hold of the gold!

Undisputed WWE Championship: Cody Rhodes VS Gunther VS Sami Zayn

And in the Main Event of WWE Night of Champions 2026, Cody Rhodes, Gunther, and Sami Zayn collided in a Triple Threat match with the Undisputed WWE Championship on the line! This was the match of the night for me, with the atmosphere far better for this contest than any other match on the night! That was mostly due to the home support of Sami Zayn, who is absolutely adored in Saudi Arabia, with Sami loving being around his “Ride or Die” fans! Zayn even came close to winning at one point, with Cody Rhodes pulling the referee out of the ring, which was sort of fair enough given the fact that Zayn had pulled that same move the other way around just minutes before! Cody then sent Sami crashing back-first through the announce table, whilst Gunther put Rhodes through the other announce table with a Powerbomb! The Ring General then looked to have the match won, only for Sami Zayn to catch Cody Rhodes’ hand, before Gunther somehow managed to kick out of a Helluva Kick! All hope then seemed lost, with Cody delivering a double Cross Rhodes to both men, but then, in an unbelievable turn of events, Zayn was able to reverse another Cross Rhodes into a roll-up, pinning The American Nightmare to win the Undisputed WWE Championship! Yes, you read that right, SAMI ZAYN is the Undisputed WWE Champion! Whilst WWE is often very boring and safe with its booking, this was a special moment for a guy that has done fantastic work in his WWE career, finally finishing his story by becoming a World Champion over 10 years after his Main Roster debut! Whilst I don’t think the reign will last very long, I’m so happy for Sami Zayn; he’s somebody who absolutely deserves a special moment like this!
