Drew McIntyre VS Randy Orton

Another edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event kicked off with Drew McIntyre taking on Randy Orton! Drew had Logan Paul in his corner, whilst Randy had the support of Jelly Roll, and in fact, those two actually got into it at one point! McIntyre came close to winning with a Claymore, with Orton just about putting his foot on the ropes before Drew got distracted by Jelly, opening the door for Orton to deliver an RKO to get the win! After the match, Logan Paul jumped Randy Orton, resulting in Jelly Roll getting physical once again before he got nailed by a Drew McIntyre Claymore! McIntyre got all of that!

United States Championship: Solo Sikoa VS Jimmy Uso

It was time for yet another match between two Bloodline members as Solo Sikoa put his United States Championship on the line for the first time against Jimmy Uso! This was another standard match, that’s literally what these shows are, but Jimmy did deliver a couple of good moves as he tried to deal with the rest of “The MFT’s”! Ultimately, Solo was able to retain with the help of Talla Tonga before Jacob Fatu arrived to make the save, eventually standing tall! I guess we’re getting Sikoa-Fatu 2 at Summerslam!

Seth “Freakin” Rollins VS LA Knight

The only match that I was looking forward to heading into this show was up next as Seth “Freakin” Rollins went one-on-one with LA Knight! Unfortunately, this match didn’t go very long as a nasty landing for Seth resulted in him picking up a potentially serious injury! Massive credit to Rollins because he allowed Knight to deliver a BFT afterwards to get the win, but this is horrible! Seth Rollins has been on an incredible run recently, he is the main guy on Raw, nearly all of the major storylines surround him, and now he could be out for the rest of the year! Just horrible luck!

World Heavyweight Championship: Gunther VS Goldberg

And in the Main Event of the July 12th edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event, Goldberg looked to capture Gold in his final ever match as he challenged Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship! This match started off pretty boring, nothing really happened, but it did at least get a little bit better following a ref bump! Gunther got cocky, getting in the face of Goldberg’s son, and this fired up Bill to deliver both a Spear and a Jackhammer for a near-fall! Thankfully, after that, Gunther locked in a sleeper hold to pick up the relatively straightforward win, and as far as Goldberg matches go, this at least wasn’t too offensive!
