Roman Reigns and Jey Uso VS Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed

The first-ever 2-Night Summerslam kicked off with Roman Reigns and Jey Uso realigning to take on the duo of Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed! This was the best match of the night for me, I thought it was a lot of fun, some of the dives that both Roman and Bronson did were insane, like ridiculous! Bron Breakker’s intensity was strong; he looked really good here, any moment between him and Reigns is money! Interestingly, Roman sacrificed himself for Jey to take a Breakker Spear, and this opened the door for Uso to nail Bronson Reed with a Spear and an Uso Splash to get the win! Nice!

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships: The Judgment Day VS Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair

It was then time for the first Championship match of the weekend as The Judgment Day put their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships on the line against the pairing of Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair! This was a good match, Roxanne Perez stared once again, I honestly really enjoy her alongside Raquel Rodriguez, I think they’re doing amazingly together! Alexa and Charlotte are also fun together, the crowd enjoys them, and we had an interesting moment where Bliss accidentally punched Flair! However, Charlotte was then able to break up Pop Rox before she wiped out Rodriguez, resulting in Little Miss Bliss nailing The Prodigy with Sister Abigail to get the win meaning The Allies of Convenience are now the brand-new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions! This makes sense, even though I would’ve loved Roxy and Raquel to retain!

Karrion Kross VS Sami Zayn

Karrion Kross was on the Summerslam stage next as he went one-on-one with Sami Zayn to end a months-long feud! The crowd were more behind Karrion than Sami here, they cheered whenever Scarlett would introduce the steel pipe that’s been used to great effect over recent weeks, and the most interesting part definitely came when Scarlett handed Zayn the pipe! However, Sami refused to do so to the boos of the WWE Universe, and he then nailed Kross with a Helluva Kick to get the win! The ending felt sudden, and I don’t like that Karrion Kross lost yet again!

WWE Women’s Championship: Tiffany Stratton VS Jade Cargill

Tiffy Time took over in New York as Tiffany Stratton put her WWE Women’s Championship on the line against the 2025 Queen of the Ring, Jade Cargill! This match was fine, there were some decent moments, Tiffany did most of the heavy lifting here, Jade looked normal, and yeah, it was totally fine! I will say that after Cargill delivered Jaded, she pulled Stratton’s foot onto the rope, and that was a little silly! Anyway, Tiffany Stratton was able to fend off The Storm with a Prettiest Moonsault Ever, and I’m glad she retained!

Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul VS Randy Orton and Jelly Roll

After months of training, Jelly Roll was finally set to make his in-ring debut as he teamed up with his buddy Randy Orton to face the duo of Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul! As expected, Drew and Logan worked over Jelly before Randy got his big hot tag, wiping out both of the Heels to the delight of the WWE Universe! However, after being nailed by a Drew McIntyre Claymore, Logan Paul headed up to the ring post and delivered a ridiculous Frog Splash to send Jelly Roll crashing through the announce table! Despite this, Jelly was able to get himself back into the match, but a Claymore followed by the “Paul From Grace” was enough for Logan and Drew to secure the victory! Usually, when a celebrity wrestles, they win, but that wasn’t the case here, and I liked that a lot!

World Heavyweight Championship: Gunther VS CM Punk

And in the Main Event of Summerslam Saturday, Gunther and CM Punk collided with the World Heavyweight Championship up for grabs! This match got over half an hour, it was good, it was very hard-hitting, with both men bleeding at different points! However, it did feel too slow, there were bits where it felt like it dragged, and that’s a shame honestly! After dropping onto the announce table, Gunther appeared busted open, his face was a mess, and Punk took advantage of this by delivering not 1, but 2 GTS’ to earn the win and finally become a World Champion again! After the match was over, Seth “Freakin” Rollins’ music hit, with Seth reminding Punk of what’s to come in the future! However, Rollins then dropped his crutches, revealing that he isn’t actually injured, as he then successfully cashed in his Money in the Bank Briefcase with a Stomp! So yes, after all of that, Seth “Freakin” Rollins is now the brand-new World Heavyweight Champion! Exciting!
