Brock Lesnar VS John Cena

WWE’s first Premium Live Event on ESPN, “Wrestlepalooza”, kicked off with a big-time match as Brock Lesnar returned to in-ring action against John Cena! Brock was in absolutely insane shape, he looked so good, and he destroyed John here! I thought Lesnar would win this match; it didn’t make sense to me for him to come back and lose, but this was pure dominance! After Cena delivered 3 AA’s, Lesnar fired back with six F5’s to eventually score a rather straightforward victory! Honestly, I’m not really sure what the point of any of this was, but hey, at least the entrances were good!

The Usos VS The Vision

After 2 years, Jimmy and Jey finally teamed up again as The Usos clashed with The Vision! LA Knight was the Special Guest Referee for this match, and I honestly have no idea why Adam Pearce made this decision because LA just let the wrestlers do what they want! The action was alright, there were some decent moments, but it wasn’t exactly “must-see”! Towards the end of the match, Jimmy Uso went crashing through a table, opening the door for Bronson Reed to nail Jey with a TSUNAMI to get the win! I’m glad Bronson and Bron Breakker won, it makes more sense that way!

Women’s World Championship: Iyo Sky VS Stephanie Vaquer

After the match at Clash in Paris was cancelled, Stephanie Vaquer finally got her shot at the Gold as she went one-on-one with Iyo Sky to crown a brand-new Women’s World Champion! I was hyped for this match, I thought it had the potential to be the match of the night, and for me, it was the match of the night! However, it started off too slowly for me; there wasn’t much going on, and that meant it dragged for a while! However, once it got going, it was very good, both women are extremely talented, and I was genuinely unsure as to who was going to get the win! Iyo tried to deliver Over the Moonsault multiple times, but she kept failing to connect! However, Vaquer was able to connect with an incredible Spiral Tap, and that was enough for La Primera to become the new Women’s World Champion! What a year Stephanie Vaquer has had!

Seth “Freakin” Rollins and Becky Lynch VS CM Punk and AJ Lee

After weeks of hype, we finally got the biggest Mixed Tag Team match in recent history as the Champion couple of Seth “Freakin” Rollins and Becky Lynch took on the power couple of CM Punk and AJ Lee! Seth and Becky’s gear was great, as was their entrance, and this match got nearly half an hour! For me, it was a little too long; it didn’t need to be this long, but it was still a good match! I thought Seth and Punk were great; their acting here was really strong, and you could tell how special this moment was for AJ Lee! I will say that the referee was annoying me throughout this; she didn’t seem to care who was legal, and towards the end of the match, we got a great spot where Becky threw AJ into Punk and Rollins, sending all 3 crashing through the announce table! However, Lynch wasn’t able to take advantage as Lee trapped her in the Black Widow to force a tap-out victory! Like I said, some parts of this were good, but it was probably a little too long!

Undisputed WWE Championship: Cody Rhodes VS Drew McIntyre

And in the Main Event of Wrestlepalooza 2025, Cody Rhodes put his Undisputed WWE Championship on the line against Drew McIntyre! Cody was selling a head injury throughout this; you could tell he wasn’t right, and this opened up opportunities for Drew to take advantage! As expected, both guys kicked out of each other’s finishing manoeuvres, but it was the referee who ultimately played the biggest role! See, not only did he take a while to count a pinfall, but he also stopped McIntyre from delivering a Claymore to Rhodes through the bottom of the announce table, despite that being a legal move! This gave Cody enough time to get out of the way as Drew wrecked his leg, allowing The American Nightmare to drop The Scottish Psychopath with a second Cross Rhodes to get the win! I never understood why this match was the Main Event unless Drew was winning, but that didn’t happen! Also, there weren’t any surprise appearances, so this was all in all a very odd show!
