West Ham VS Chelsea

West Ham host London Rivals Chelsea on Friday Night Football as both teams look for their first win of the new season! West Ham got stuffed 3-0 at Sunderland last time out, and they currently sit 19th in the table! When it comes to Chelsea, they could only draw 0-0 with Crystal Palace last Sunday, and they currently find themselves in 11th! In their previous 29 meetings, The Hammers have won 8 games whilst The Blues have won double that! For West Ham United, they can’t really afford to start their season with 2 losses from 2! As for Chelsea, they really need to get their first win here!
My Prediction: 0-2
Manchester City VS Tottenham

Manchester City host Tottenham in what should be a really exciting clash at the Etihad! Manchester City made a statement with a 4-0 win at Wolves last weekend, and they currently lead the league! When it comes to Tottenham, they started their tenure under Thomas Frank with a 3-0 win over Burnley last time out, and they currently sit third in the table! In their previous 35 meetings, City have won 19 games compared to 12 wins for Spurs! For Manchester City, they’re looking to make it 2 wins from 2 to start the new campaign! As for Tottenham Hotspur, they’ll be hoping for more of the same from last season’s meeting, where they put 4 past the Champions!
My Prediction: 3-2
Bournemouth VS Wolves

Bournemouth lost 4-2 in the opening game of the new Premier League Season at Liverpool last Friday, and they currently sit 16th in the table! When it comes to Wolves, they got smashed 4-0 by Manchester City last time out, and they currently find themselves bottom of the league! In their previous 13 meetings, both sides have won 5 games each! It’s actually worth mentioning that there hasn’t been a victory for the home side in this fixture since 2020 (in 90 minutes)! For AFC Bournemouth, they will expect themselves to win here! As for Wolverhampton Wanderers, they need to do a lot better than they did in the second half of last week’s game!
My Prediction: 2-1
Brentford VS Aston Villa

Brentford suffered a disappointing 3-1 loss away at Nottingham Forest last time out, and they currently sit 17th in the table! When it comes to Aston Villa, they held onto a point against Newcastle in their season opener, and they currently find themselves in 10th! In their previous 14 meetings, both sides have won 4 games each! For Brentford, they need to show something here, they can’t afford to be outplayed again! As for Aston Villa, it’s important for them to pick up their first victory of the season!
My Prediction: 1-2
Burnley VS Sunderland

Burnley host Sunderland in what is already a crucial game for 2 of the newly Promoted sides! Burnley lost 3-0 at Tottenham last time out, and they currently sit 18th in the table! When it comes to Sunderland, they kicked off their return to the Premier League in style with a 3-0 thrashing of West Ham, and they currently find themselves second in the league! In their previous 11 meetings, both sides have won 3 games each! In their 2 meetings last season, The Clarets failed to score against The Black Cats, with one of only 2 defeats all season coming against them (at the Stadium of Light)! For Burnley, they need to get three points here, they have to take it as Championship VS Championship! As for Sunderland, a win here and they’re looking really good!
My Prediction: 0-0
Arsenal VS Leeds

Arsenal’s first game of the season at the Emirates sees them welcome Leeds for a Saturday Night Football clash! Arsenal picked up an important 1-0 win away at Manchester United last time out, and they currently find themselves in 6th place! When it comes to Leeds, they edged out Everton Monday Night, and they currently sit 7th in the table! In their previous 11 meetings, The Gunners have won 11 games whilst the other two ended in a draw! In fact, you have to go back to 2003 for the last time The Whites won in this fixture (so before I was even born)! For Arsenal, you’d expect them to make it 2 wins from 2 here! As for Leeds United, let’s see what their defence is made of!
My Prediction: 2-0
Crystal Palace VS Nottingham Forest

Crystal Palace host Nottingham Forest in a game between two teams in Europe! Crystal Palace drew 0-0 at Chelsea last weekend before they beat Fredrikstad 1-0 in a Conference League Qualifier last night, and they currently sit 12th in the table! When it comes to Nottingham Forest, they cruised past Brentford (3-1) last time out, and they currently find themselves 5th in the league! In their previous 12 meetings, The Eagles have only won once whilst Forest have won 5 times! For Crystal Palace, they’ll be hoping for another clean sheet whilst also securing their first Premier League win of the season! As for Nottingham Forest, there’s no reason why they can’t make it 2 wins from 2 here!
My Prediction: 1-1
Everton VS Brighton

Everton start a brand-new era at the Hill Dickinson Stadium by welcoming Brighton on Super Sunday! Everton lost 1-0 at Leeds Monday Night, and they currently sit 14th in the table! When it comes to Brighton, they conceded late to draw 1-1 with Fulham last time out, and they currently find themselves in 8th! In their previous 16 meetings, The Toffees have won 7 times compared to 5 wins for The Seagulls! For Everton, it’s all about starting life at their new stadium on a high! As for Brighton and Hove Albion, they’ll be looking to spoil the party!
My Prediction: 2-3
Fulham VS Manchester United

Fulham scored late to pick up a point away at Brighton in their season opener, and they currently find themselves up in 9th place! When it comes to Manchester United, they lost 1-0 at home to Arsenal last time out, and they currently sit 15th in the table! In their previous 21 meetings, The Cottagers have only won once (in 90 minutes) whilst United have won 16 times! For Fulham, they can definitely win this game! As for Manchester United, it’s very important for them to not lose their opening 2 games!
My Prediction: 2-1
Newcastle VS Liverpool

Gameweek 2 ends with a titanic battle on Monday Night Football as Newcastle host Liverpool! Newcastle could only draw at Aston Villa last time out (despite having a man advantage), and they currently sit 13th in the table! When it comes to Liverpool, they managed to beat Bournemouth 4-2 in the opening game of the season, and they currently find themselves 4th in the league! In their previous 29 meetings, The Magpies have won 5 games compared to 17 wins for The Reds! For Newcastle United, it would be a big deal for them to win this game! As for Liverpool, a win here would send out a really impressive statement of intent!
