Brentford scored a crucial late goal to peg Chelsea back in a 4-goal London Derby! After 35 minutes, it was Brentford who had the lead as Kevin Schade scored with the help of a slight deflection off Tosin Adarabioyo! Enzo Fernandez then struck the post from a corner before Caoimhin Kelleher made a decent save to deny Tyrique George! In the 61st minute, Chelsea were back on level terms as Cole Palmer finished coolly before Robert Sanchez made a good save to stop Schade from scoring again! Cole Palmer then had a great chance to make it 2-1, but his effort was saved well by Kelleher before Chelsea finally had the lead in the 85th minute thanks to a ferocious strike by Moises Caicedo! However, in the 93rd minute, Fabio Carvalho was able to tap the ball home to rescue a point for the hosts! In the end, this is a decent point for Brentford! The Bees now find themselves 12th in the table, and they host Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup tomorrow, followed by an away trip to Fulham! As for Chelsea, that late goal will hurt! The Blues drop to 5th in the league, and they have a big week ahead with away trips to Bayern Munich and Manchester United!

Manchester City 3-0 Manchester United

Erling Haaland was at the double as Manchester City breezed past Manchester United! After 18 minutes, Manchester City had the lead as Phil Foden headed home well after a great bit of play by Jeremy Doku! Tijjani Reijnders then had a decent chance which he struck straight at Altay Bayindir, before Man City’s lead doubled in the 53rd minute through Erling Haaland! This was such a good team goal! Haaland then had a golden chance to make it 3-0, but he somehow struck the post from just a couple of yards out before Gianluigi Donnarumma made a great save to keep Bryan Mbeumo’s superb volleyed effort out! In the 68th minute, City had their third as Haaland scored again, but he wasn’t able to add an assist to his tally as Reijnders missed a great chance to make it 4! Manchester United then had a bunch of chances to at least get one back, but they failed to take any of them! Overall, this was much more like it from Manchester City! City rise to 8th in the league, and they have a big week ahead against Napoli (at home) and Arsenal (away)! As for Manchester United, they were utterly useless here! United drop to 14th in the table, and they host Chelsea next time out!

Arsenal 3-0 Nottingham Forest

Ange Postecoglou’s first game as Nottingham Forest manager didn’t exactly go to plan as his side were swept aside by Arsenal! Matz Sels made a good save to stop Mikel Merino from making it 1-0, but Arsenal were able to take the lead in the 32nd minute thanks to a terrific volley by Martin Zubimendi! Less than a minute into the second half, Arsenal had a second through Viktor Gyokeres, but I have to say, the defensive play by Nicolo Savona is absolutely diabolical! Chris Wood then struck the crossbar with his chest (completely accidental) before Gyokeres smashed the post! And then, in the 79th minute, Zubimendi headed home to score his second and Arsenal’s third! Overall, this was nice and straightforward for Arsenal! The Gunners rise to second in the league, and they play away at Athletic Bilbao tomorrow, followed by a massive Super Sunday clash against Manchester City! As for Nottingham Forest, they were simply second best here! Forest drop to 15th in the table, and they face away trips to Swansea and Burnley this week!

West Ham 0-3 Tottenham

Lucas Paqueta had a good chance to give West Ham the lead early on, but he dragged his effort just wide of the post before Cristian Romero thought he’d made it 1-0, only for his goal to be ruled out for a foul! Honestly, I’m not sure this was a foul! Anyway, just 2 minutes into the second half, and Tottenham did properly have the lead this time courtesy of Pape Sarr! What a wonderful ball by Xavi Simons! Tomas Soucek was then shown a straight red card for a poorly-timed challenge before Lucas Bergvall made it 2-0 after 57 minutes! Another fantastic pass, this time by Romero! And then, in the 64th minute, Micky van de Ven scored to seal all 3 points for Spurs! In the end, it’s another terrible day at home for West Ham United! The Hammers drop into the Relegation Zone (in 18th), and they host Crystal Palace next time out! As for Tottenham Hotspur, this was another good away win for them! Spurs rise to third in the league, and they have a competitive week in coming with Villarreal tomorrow (in the Champions League) and Brighton on Saturday (at the AMEX)!

Bournemouth 2-1 Brighton

AFC Bournemouth were able to edge out Brighton and Hove Albion to continue their strong start to the season! After 18 minutes, it was Bournemouth who took the lead thanks to a cracking strike by Alex Scott! Just 3 minutes into the second half, though, and Brighton were back level as Kaoru Mitoma headed home after a terrific ball in by Yankuba Minteh! Danny Welbeck then came close to giving Brighton the lead; his effort ran just past the post, before Bournemouth were awarded a penalty after Brighton made a complete mess of themselves at the back! It was then Antoine Semenyo who stepped up and scored to net the winner for the hosts! Overall, it’s another positive win for AFC Bournemouth! The Cherries rise to 4th in the league, and their next game is at home to Newcastle! As for Brighton and Hove Albion, they lost this game because of themselves! The Seagulls drop to 13th in the table, and they host Tottenham next time out!

Burnley 0-1 Liverpool

Another late penalty cost Burnley dear as Liverpool made it 4 wins from 4! Ibrahima Konate had a golden chance to give Liverpool the lead early on, but he poorly headed over from close range before Ryan Gravenberch fired his volleyed effort over (too)! Dominik Szoboszlai then forced a firm save out of Martin Dubravka before Federico Chiesa headed wide! In the 84th minute, Burnley’s day was made even harder as Lesley Ugochukwu was shown a second yellow card, and in additional time at the end of the game, Liverpool were awarded a penalty after a stupid handball by Hannibal Mejbri! Mohamed Salah then stepped up and scored to nick yet another game for Liverpool! In the end, it’s more penalty heartbreak for Burnley! The Clarets drop to 17th in the table, and they host Nottingham Forest next time out! As for Liverpool, they’ve gotten away with it again! The Reds remain top of the league, and they have a big week incoming at home to both Atletico Madrid and Everton!

Newcastle 1-0 Wolves

Newcastle United finally earned their first victory of the season as Wolverhampton Wanderers lost again! Rodrigo Gomes had a great chance to give Wolves the lead inside 10 seconds, but his effort was saved well by Nick Pope before Pope made another save, this time to deny Hwang Hee-Chan! Jacob Murphy then had a golden chance to fire Newcastle in front, but his effort was kept out by Sam Johnstone before Fabian Schar pulled out a brilliant piece of defending to keep the game at nil-nil! In the 29th minute, it was Newcastle who found themselves in front as Nick Woltemade managed to head the ball home on debut! Sandro Tonali was then unlucky as his effort came back out off the post, but it ultimately didn’t cost them! Overall, it’s been a long time coming for Newcastle United, but they finally have a win to their name! The Magpies rise to 10th in the table, and they host Barcelona in a huge Champions League tie Thursday Night before they head to Bournemouth! As for Wolverhampton Wanderers, once again, they just weren’t good enough! Wolves remain bottom of the league, and they host Leeds next time out in what is an absolute must-win game!

Fulham 1-0 Leeds

Dominic Calvert-Lewin had a great chance to give Leeds the lead early on, but he poorly guided his headed effort straight at Bernd Leno before Sean Longstaff’s fired effort glanced off the top of the Fulham crossbar! In the second half, Rodrigo Muniz had a decent opportunity to guide the ball on target, but he too could only head the ball into the arms of Karl Darlow before Darlow made a great save to deny Kevin late on! However, in the 94th minute, Fulham were able to grab a late, late winner courtesy of a Gabriel Gudmundsson own goal (this was one heck of a finish)! In the end, it’s a first win of the season for Fulham! The Cottagers rise to 11th in the league, and they host Brentford next time out! As for Leeds United, this one will hurt a lot! The Whites drop to 16th in the table, and their next game is a massive one away at Wolves!

Everton 0-0 Aston Villa

The points were shared around at Everton as Aston Villa once again failed to score! Jack Grealish came close to giving Everton the lead early on; his effort was saved well by Emiliano Martinez, before Beto failed to connect with the ball (a touch and he probably would’ve scored)! Emiliano Buendia’s effort then flew just wide following a big deflection before Emi Martinez made a cracking save to deny Michael Keane late on! Keane then had another chance to win it in additional time, but he poorly headed off target! In the end, Everton really should’ve won this game! The Toffees drop to 6th in the league, and they head to Liverpool next time out! As for Aston Villa, it’s another game without a goal for them! Villa remain inside the Relegation Zone (in 19th), and they face Brentford in the Carabao Cup tomorrow before they head to Sunderland on Sunday!

Crystal Palace 0-0 Sunderland

Noah Sadiki had a decent chance to put Sunderland in front, but he fired his effort wide of the target before Yeremy Pino had a great chance to open his Crystal Palace account, but he poorly missed the target! In the second half, Robin Roefs made a great save to keep Jean-Philippe Mateta’s effort out before Omar Alderete brilliantly blocked Pino’s rebound attempt! Wilson Isidor then had a half chance which he failed to hit the target with, before Roefs made another strong save, this time to deny Daichi Kamada! Palace then had a few more chances to win it late on, but seemingly nothing was getting past Robin Roefs! In the end, this is a frustrating draw for Crystal Palace! The Eagles drop to 9th in the table, and they host Millwall in the Carabao Cup tomorrow, followed by an away trip to West Ham! As for Sunderland AFC, they’ll be really pleased with a clean sheet from this game! The Black Cats are 7th in the league, and they host Aston Villa next time out!
