A 7-goal Allianz Arena thriller resulted in Bayern Munich knocking Real Madrid out of this season’s UEFA Champions League! After just 35 seconds, Real Madrid already found themselves in front as Arda Guler scored following a shocking error by Manuel Neuer! What was he doing?! However, just 5 minutes later, Bayern Munich were already back on level terms as Aleksandar Pavlovic. Just like I said before, what on earth was the goalkeeping doing?! In the 29th minute, Real Madrid were back in front on the night courtesy of a Guler free-kick (again, what was Neuer doing?), before Harry Kane made it 2-2 after 38 minutes! Just 4 minutes later, it was 4-4 on aggregate as Kylian Mbappe scored a relatively straightforward goal! Late in the second half, Eduardo Camavinga was sent off for a second bookable offence, before Luis Diaz fired home a crucial 89th-minute goal! And then, in the 94th minute, Michael Olise finished brilliantly to ensure that, as well as going through, Munich would also win on the night! Overall, they made hard work of it, but Bayern Munich are into the last 4! Bayern could wrap up the league title this Sunday against VfB Stuttgart, and they’ll be well up for facing PSG in the Semi-Finals! As for Real Madrid, their season is basically done! Madrid host Deportivo Alaves next time out as they look to somehow turn around a 9-point deficit (over Barcelona) to win LaLiga!

Atletico Madrid 1-2 Barcelona (3-2 on Aggregate)

Despite losing on the night, Atletico Madrid still had enough in reserve to edge out Spanish Rivals FC Barcelona! Lamine Yamal forced an important save out of Juan Musso within the first minute of the game, only for Yamal to give Barcelona the lead just minutes later after a terrible bit of play by Atletico Madrid’s defence! In the 24th minute, Barcelona were back on level terms (on aggregate) as Ferran Torres finished well! Straight after that, Musso was forced into making another big save to stop Fermin Lopez from adding another goal, before Ademola Lookman restored Atletico Madrid’s aggregate lead with a crucial 31st-minute finish! In the second half, Torres thought he’d scored again, only for his goal to be ruled out for offside, before Joan Garcia made an important save to stop Robin Le Normand from killing the tie off! Things then got worse for Barcelona as Eric Garcia was shown a straight red card, which all but took Barca out of contention! Overall, despite losing on the night, Atletico Madrid are through to the Champions League Semi-Finals! Atletico host Real Sociedad next time out, but their main focus is on Arsenal in two weeks’ time! As for FC Barcelona, they lost this tie in the first leg! Barcelona will face Celta Vigo next week as they look to move a step closer to retaining their LaLiga Title!

Liverpool went crashing out of the Champions League as current holders Paris Saint-Germain look formidable! Ousman Dembele had a great chance to give PSG the lead early on, but he shockingly blasted his effort over the bar (from close range), before Marquinhos pulled off a mega block to stop Virgil van Dijk from giving Liverpool the lead! In the second half, Liverpool were awarded a penalty, only for VAR to overturn it, before Matvey Safonov made an important save to deny Rio Ngumoha! In the 72nd minute, PSG found themselves in front on the night courtesy of Ousmane Dembele, before Dembele scored again in the 91st minute! In the end, Liverpool got completely outplayed across two legs! The Reds head to Everton on Sunday as they look to try and make sure that they return to the Champions League next season! As for Paris Saint-Germain, they’re such a good side! PSG host Lyon next time out as they prepare for a mouthwatering Semi-Final clash against Bayern Munich!

Arsenal 0-0 Sporting CP (1-0 on Aggregate)

Another nervy night at the Emirates resulted in Arsenal booking their ticket to the Champions League Semi-Finals at the expense of Sporting CP! After basically nothing happened in the first half, Geny Catamo came within a whisker of giving Sporting CP the lead as his effort came back out off the post! Arsenal then had a couple of decent chances to score, but they weren’t able to guide their efforts on target before Leandro Trossard hit the post! And then, with the final kick of the game, Joao Simoes came so close to sending the game to extra time as his effort struck the side-netting! In the end, it was another poor performance, but Arsenal won’t care as they’re through! The Gunners have a potential Title-deciding game coming up against Manchester City this Sunday, whilst they’ll face Atletico Madrid at the Semi-Final stage! As for Sporting CP, their attack just wasn’t good enough in either game! Sporting host Benfica next time out as they look to keep themselves in the hunt to win Liga Portugal!
