Brentford VS Chelsea
The final Friday Night Football for over a month sees Brentford host Chelsea in an intriguing London Derby! Brentford picked up a decent point away at Bournemouth last weekend, before they won at Reading in the Carabao Cup midweek, and they currently sit 7th in the table! When it comes to Chelsea, they could only draw 2-2 with Hull last time out, and they currently find themselves in 6th place! In their previous 14 meetings, Brentford have 3 wins whilst Chelsea have double that! For Brentford, they will make tonight very difficult for their opponents! The Bees are ranked 5th in GPG (1.8), and they’re currently on an 8-game unbeaten run in all competitions (3W,5D)! As for Chelsea, they could really do with a win here! Tottenham VS Aston Villa
Tottenham host Aston Villa in a game that both clubs are desperate to win! Tottenham drew 0-0 with Everton last weekend, before they got knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Liverpool on Tuesday, and they currently sit 17th in the table! When it comes to Aston Villa, they suffered a terrible 2-1 loss at home to Nottingham Forest in Gameweek 4, before they won 3-1 at Coventry in the Carabao Cup midweek, and they currently find themselves inside the Relegation Zone (in 19th)! In their previous 30 meetings, Spurs have won 20 games compared to 9 wins for Villa! For Tottenham Hotspur, firstly, they just need to score a goal! Spurs are still yet to score a Premier League goal this season, and they’re ranked 9th in GCPG (1.3)! As for Aston Villa, they can’t afford to go into the long break winless (in the league)! Arsenal are aiming to continue their perfect start to the season with a difficult trip to face Brighton! Brighton have picked up strong away wins over both Coventry (Premier League) and Manchester United (Carabao Cup) over the past 7 days, and they currently sit 5th in the table! When it comes to Arsenal, they’ve also won games this week over Sunderland (PL) and Ipswich (CC), and they currently find themselves top of the league! In their previous 22 meetings, Brighton have won 6 games, whilst Arsenal have won 11! For Brighton and Hove Albion, they can cause the Champions problems! The Seagulls are ranked 1st in GPG (3.3), and 9th in GCPG (1.3)! As for Arsenal, you could make an argument that this is their toughest test of the season yet! The Gunners are ranked 3rd in GPG (2.0), and 1st in GCPG (0.3)!

Everton VS Ipswich
Everton picked up a point at Tottenham last weekend before they beat Wolves 1-0 midweek, and they currently find themselves in 9th place! When it comes to Ipswich, they picked up a great 3-2 win away at Crystal Palace in their last league game, before they lost 4-2 at home to Arsenal in the Carabao Cup, and they currently sit 10th in the table! In their previous 2 meetings, Everton are the only team to record a victory, with Ipswich’s last victory in this fixture coming all the way back in 2002! For Everton, this is a game that they should be winning! The Toffees are ranked 13th in GPG (1.3), but 4th in GCPG (0.8)! As for Ipswich Town, they’d take another point from this game! The Tractor Boys are ranked 5th in GPG (1.8), but 18th in GCPG (2.5)!

Newcastle VS Hull
Newcastle got thumped 4-1 in Leeds on Monday Night, and they currently sit 12th in the table! When it comes to Hull, they remained unbeaten once again with a positive 2-2 draw at Chelsea last time out, and they currently find themselves 4th in the league! In their previous 5 meetings, Newcastle have won twice, whilst Hull have won once! For Newcastle United, they need to bounce back here! The Magpies are ranked 5th in GPG (1.8), but 16th in GCPG (2.0)! As for Hull City, why can’t they stay unbeaten?! The Tigers are ranked 13th in GPG (1.3), but they currently have the joint-second-best defensive record in the league (0.5 GCPG)!

Nottingham Forest VS Coventry
This week’s Saturday Night Football feels important as Nottingham Forest host Coventry! Nottingham Forest earned themselves an important 2-1 away win at Aston Villa last time out, and they currently sit 11th in the table! When it comes to Coventry, they’ve been comfortably beaten by both Brighton (0-5 in the Premier League) and Aston Villa (1-3 in the Carabao Cup) during the past week, and they currently find themselves bottom of the league! In their previous 8 meetings, Forest have won 75% of the time, whilst Coventry have won the other 25%! For Nottingham Forest, they should win this game! Forest are ranked 15th in GPG (1.0), but 6th in GCPG (1.0)! As for Coventry City, Frank Lampard cannot afford to go 0-5 before the big international break! After drawing 2-2 with Brentford last weekend, Bournemouth got off to a dream start in Europe with a 2-1 win at Real Sociedad last night, but they do currently sit 15th in the table! When it comes to Liverpool, they could only draw 0-0 at home to Fulham in their last league game, before they beat Tottenham 3-1 in the Carabao Cup, and they currently find themselves 8th in the league! In their previous 22 meetings, Bournemouth have only won 3 times, whilst Liverpool have won 18 times! For AFC Bournemouth, Marco Rose will be desperate for his first Premier League win! The Cherries are ranked 10th in GPG (1.5), and they’re currently on a 5-game unbeaten run in all competitions (2W,3D)! As for Liverpool, they need a statement win! Leeds thrashed Newcastle 4-1 last time out, and they currently find themselves third in the league! When it comes to Crystal Palace, they suffered a terrible loss at home to Ipswich last weekend, before they thumped 4 past Lech Poznan in the Europa League last night, and they currently sit 16th in the table! In their previous 14 meetings, Leeds have won 6 games, whilst Palace have won 4! For Leeds United, they’ll be disappointed with anything but a win from this game! The Whites are ranked 5th in GPG (1.8), and 4th in GCPG (0.8)! As for Crystal Palace, they need to try and build off their big European win! The Eagles are ranked 10th in GPG (1.5), but they currently have the worst defensive record in the league (2.8)!

Manchester City picked up a great away win over rivals Manchester United last weekend, before they thumped Norwich 5-0 last night, and they currently find themselves second in the league! When it comes to Sunderland, they lost 2-0 at home to Arsenal last weekend, before they beat AZ Alkmaar on their return to European Football midweek, and they currently sit 14th in the table! In their previous 18 meetings, Man City have 11 wins in comparison to 4 wins for Sunderland! For Manchester City, they’re looking to keep their positivity high heading into the international break! City are ranked 3rd in GPG (2.0), and they’re currently on a 6-game winning run (in all competitions)! As for Sunderland AFC, the league schedule hasn’t been kind to them! The Black Cats are ranked 17th in GPG (0.8), and 4 of their first 6 games of the season have seen only 1 team score!

Fulham VS Manchester United
The final Premier League game for 3 weeks sees Fulham host Manchester United in a Super Sunday matchup that both teams have to win! Fulham picked up a positive point away at Liverpool last weekend, before they won 3-2 at West Ham midweek, but they do currently find themselves inside the Relegation Zone (in 18th)! When it comes to Manchester United, they’ve suffered back-to-back poor home losses to Manchester City (in the Premier League) and Brighton (in the Carabao Cup), and they currently sit 13th in the table! In their previous 23 meetings, Fulham have only won once (1-2 in 2024), whilst Man United have won 17 times! For Fulham, they need to build on their midweek victory! The Cottagers are ranked 15th in GPG (1.0), and they haven’t managed to win a league game since May! As for Manchester United, Michael Carrick has to win this game! United are ranked 5th in GPG (1.8), and they currently have the 4th-worst away record in the league!
