Michael Carrick’s tenure as Manchester United Manager looks to be coming to an end after a miserable outing against AFC Bournemouth! After 38 minutes, Bournemouth found themselves in front as Rayan finished well at the back post! Then, just 5 minutes later, Bournemouth’s lead had doubled as Marcus Tarvernier scored following a terrible slip by Leny Yoro! At the start of the second half, Bournemouth had a third goal ruled out for offside, but I want to talk about Manchester United’s defensive play here as it was absolutely abysmal! Rayan then missed a couple of good opportunities to score again, before the visitors would have their third courtesy of a brilliant finish by Evanilson! In the end, this is about as bad as it gets for Manchester United! United drop to 16th in the table, and they’ll head to Chelsea in what is a must-win game next time out! As for AFC Bournemouth, this is a masterful win for them! The Cherries rise to 13th place, and they’ll host both Aston Villa (Carabao Cup) and Leeds (Premier League) this week!

Manchester City’s perfect start to the season finally came to an end at the hands of Aston Villa! After just 6 minutes, Aston Villa already found themselves in front as Nicolas Jackson scored following a poor mistake by Marc Guehi! Gianluigi Donnarumma’s goalkeeping wasn’t that great here, either! Zion Suzuki would then make a couple of decent saves, before Iliman Ndiaye struck the post! In the 52nd minute, Manchester City would finally get themselves back on level terms as Erling Haaland headed home well! Suzuki would then tip Josko Gvardiol’s effort onto the crossbar, before Villa were back in front as Jackson scored again following another poor bit of goalkeeping by Donnarumma! Gvardiol would then have another good opportunity to score, but he was again denied by Suzuki! Overall, this is a great win for Aston Villa! Villa rise to 9th in the table, and they’re set to play Bournemouth away in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, before they host Fulham in their next league game! As for Manchester City, they completely shot themselves in the foot! City stay top of the league, however, and they’ll host Brighton twice over the next 6 days!

Chelsea 0-2 Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur capped off a perfect week with an excellent away victory over London Rivals Chelsea! Antonin Kinsky made a good save early on to keep Cole Palmer’s effort out, before Omar Marmoush wasted a golden opportunity by striking the ball straight at Mike Penders! Kinsky would then pull off a good double save (after initially making a mistake), before Tottenham would find themselves in front in the 77th minute courtesy of a Mike Penders own goal! This is a terrible goalkeeping error! Just 3 minutes later, things got even worse for Chelsea as Cole Palmer was sent off for a second bookable offense, which led to Mathys Tel finding the back of the net in the 87th minute to seal all 3 points for Spurs! In the end, this is a poor loss for Chelsea! The Blues drop to 5th in the league, and their next week is a big one as they have to face both Liverpool (Carabao Cup) and Manchester United (Premier League)! As for Tottenham Hotspur, this feels like a massive win for them! Spurs rise to 14th in the table, and they’ll host Crystal Palace next time out!

Liverpool 2-0 Brighton

Brighton and Hove Albion’s high-powered offense got stifled in a positive Liverpool victory! Yasin Ayari had a great chance to give Brighton the lead early on, but he poorly blasted the ball well over the bar, before Liverpool found themselves in front in the 17th minute thanks to a Pascal Gross own goal! Just 4 minutes later, it was 2-0 to Liverpool as Alexander Isak scored following a poor error by Olivier Boscagli! Ayari would then strike the post from distance, whilst Bart Verbruggen needed to pull off a good save to stop Ronald Araujo from killing off the game completely! Overall, this is a good win for Liverpool! The Reds now find themselves inside the Top 4, and they have a huge week in store with home games against Chelsea (Carabao Cup) and Arsenal (Premier League)! As for Brighton and Hove Albion, they simply weren’t good enough to continue their strong unbeaten run! The Seagulls stay third in the league, and they’ve got to play Manchester City twice (at the Etihad) over the next 7 days!

Arsenal 2-0 Everton

After less than 7 minutes, Arsenal already found themselves in front as Ezri Konsa found the back of the net (from close range) after a poor bit of defensive play by Everton! Noni Madueke then had a good chance to double Arsenal’s lead, but he poorly dragged the ball wide, before David Raya kept Thierno Barry’s effort out after a poor mistake by Ben White! And then, in the 68th minute, Arsenal would have their second goal of the game courtesy of Gabriel! Overall, this was a pretty straightforward win for Arsenal! The Gunners remain second in the league, and they’ll face Fleetwood and Liverpool in their next 2 games! As for Everton, they didn’t really do anything to trouble their opposition! The Toffees drop to 11th in the table, and they’re set to play Newcastle twice in the next 7 days!

Crystal Palace 0-2 Newcastle

Crystal Palace were unable to get the ball past Lukas Hornicek in the first half, whilst Newcastle were the ones to break the deadlock just 2 minutes into the second half through William Osula! Joe Willock then thought he’d made it 2-0, only for his goal to be ruled out for offside, before Newcastle would have their second goal of the game courtesy of Harvey Barnes! This is a good goal! Hornicek would then make a decent save to keep Adam Wharton’s effort out, before the Newcastle Goalie made another strong save, this time to deny Dario Osorio! In the end, this was a bad performance from Crystal Palace! The Eagles drop to 17th in the table, and their next two games are both London Derbies away at Fulham (Carabao Cup) and Tottenham (Premier League)! As for Newcastle United, this is more like it from them! The Magpies rise to 8th in the league, and they’ll face Everton twice over the next 7 days!

Ipswich 1-1 Nottingham Forest

Christian Walton was forced into making a decent save early on to keep Jair Cunha’s effort out, before Nottingham Forest found themselves in front inside 13 minutes through Neco Williams! Jaden Philogene-Bidace would then have a good opportunity to equalise for Ipswich, but his effort was saved well by Matz Sels, before Walton and Leif Davis both did a great job to keep Morgan Gibbs-White’s effort from crossing the goal line! In the 41st minute, Ipswich were back on level terms as Julio Enciso scored following a terrible back pass by Nikola Milenkovic! In the second half, Issa Diop was slightly fortunate to only get away with a yellow card after a mistimed tackle, before Davis was there again on the goal-line, this time to deny Dan Ndoye! In the end, this is a decent point for Ipswich Town! The Tractor Boys drop to 12th in the table, and their next game sees them head to Hull on Halloween! As for Nottingham Forest, they threw away 2 points here! Forest remain inside the Relegation Zone (now in 18th), and they’ll head to Brentford next time out!

Hull 1-1 Brentford

After a poor pass by Caoimhín Kelleher, Hull were awarded a penalty after Aaron Hickey brought down Tim Iroegbunam! Oli McBurnie would then step up and score from 12 yards out to put Hull in front after 24 minutes! Kevin Schade would then see his shot blocked by his own teammate, Igor Thiago, before Brentford would find themselves back on level terms in the 63rd minute courtesy of Dango Ouattara! Whilst Ryan Giles does make a mistake here, Thiago’s pass is absolutely exquisite! Hull would then create a couple of chances to try and win the game, but they weren’t able to beat Kelleher in the Brentford goal! In the end, it’s another game without a win for Hull City! The Tigers remain inside the Top 10, however, and they’ll host Ipswich next time out! As for Brentford, they’ll be kicking themselves for that first-half mistake! The Bees stay 6th in the league, and they’ll head to Sunderland in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, before they host Nottingham Forest on Halloween!

Coventry 0-1 Fulham

1 goal was all that was needed for Fulham to earn a massive away victory at the expense of Coventry City! Josh King was unlucky early on, as his effort came back out off the crossbar, before Alex Iwobi made a mess on the rebound! Both teams were then asking for a penalty (which neither got), before Fulham found themselves in front in the 80th minute as Oscar Bobb netted his first Premier League goal for the club! In the end, Coventry City barely did anything in this game! The Sky Blues now find themselves inside the Relegation Zone (in 18th), and they’ll host Sunderland in a must-win Halloween fixture next time out! As for Fulham, this is a massive win for them! The Cottagers rise to 15th in the table, and they’ll host Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, before they head to Aston Villa for their next league game!

Sunderland 0-0 Leeds

James Trafford was forced into an early save to keep Brian Brobbey’s deflected effort out, before Trafford stood his ground against Brobbey well! In the second half, Tarik Muharemovic could only head the ball straight at Robin Roefs, before Sean Longstaff forced Roefs into an important 90th-minute save! And then, in stoppage time, Longstaff had another good chance to score, but this time his effort was blocked about 2 yards out! In the end, Sunderland AFC’s difficult start to the season continues! The Black Cats stay bottom of the league, and they’ll host Brentford in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, before a massive must-win away trip to Coventry! As for Leeds United, it’s another draw for them! The Whites remain in 7th, and they’ll head to Bournemouth next time out!
