Je’Von Evans VS Jasper Troy

NXT The Great American Bash 2025 kicked off with Jasper Troy making his Premium Live Event debut against Je’Von Evans! Jasper beat up Je’Von for most of this match, with a clear size advantage helping him, whilst Evans couldn’t seem to land any of his high-flying offense! However, as the match went on, Je’Von started to come back into it a little bit, and amazingly, The Young O.G. managed to steal a pin to hand Troy his third-straight loss! I don’t really understand what the point of Jasper Troy is, honestly!

NXT Women’s North American Championship: Sol Ruca VS Izzi Dame

The first Championship match of the night saw Sol Ruca put her NXT Women’s North American Title on the line against Izzi Dame! The crowd were into this, they’re behind Sol Ruca, and she did another really good job here! I like Izzi Dame, I think she’s very underrated, and she also did a good job here, with her coming close to winning Gold right from the off! Towards the end of the match, Tatum Paxley put Izzi’s foot on the rope, but this is when Pax got floored by a massive Spear from Zaria! This distracted Dame, opening the door for Ruca to deliver a Sol Snatcher to get the win and remain a double Champion heading into Evolution!

NXT North American Championship Falls Count Anywhere: Ethan Page VS Ricky Saints

It was then time for the men’s version of the NXT North American Championship to be defended as Ricky Saints looked to dethrone Ethan Page in Falls Count Anywhere! With Center Stage being a pretty small arena, there wasn’t much space to have a Falls Count Anywhere match, and yet both men delivered the match of the night! The fight broke out through the crowd, in the bar area (where you could literally see the outside entrance), Ethan Page was sent through the merch stand, and there were also quite a few weapon shots! Ricky Saints’ bump onto the corner of the steel stairs were horrendous, as was the follow up when he got dropped onto an exposed steel railing, and the finish was also insane as Page delivered an Ego’s Edge onto Saints who went crashing off the stage and through multiple tables, enough to bring the match to a close! Absolutely crazy; I really enjoyed it!

TNA World Championship Contract Signing
The next segment on The Great American Bash saw a Contract Signing take place ahead of next week’s Triple Threat at Slammiversary for the TNA World Championship between Trick Williams, Joe Hendry, and Mike Santana! All three men got to cut their own promo before signing the contract, with Trick’s easily being the best as he ripped into both men, eventually calling himself the greatest TNA World Champion of All Time! This annoyed Mike and Joe, who sent William crashing through a table, but that wasn’t how the segment ended as instead, DarkState attacked the two TNA stars! After this, Ava booked a 6-Man Tag Team match for this week’s NXT, and that should be interesting! As for this segment, it was totally fine, with Trick Williams making it worth watching!

NXT Championship: Oba Femi VS Yoshiki Inamura

The NXT Championship was next to be defended as Oba Femi looked to retain in a one-on-one match against Yoshiki Inamura! This was alright, it had some decent moments, but it probably should’ve been a lot better than it was! Josh Briggs attacked Oba with his NXT Title at one point, but Yoshiki didn’t want to win this way, and he made that clear to Briggs once again later on! This eventually opened the door for Femi to deliver a Fall From Grace to get the win and retain his NXT Championship, but yeah, something failed to click here!
Grade: C+
Fatal Influence VS Jordynne Grace and Blake Monroe

And in the Main Event of NXT The Great American Bash 2025, Blake Monroe made her NXT in-ring debut as she teamed up with Jordynne Grace to take on Fatal Influence! I really like Fatal Influence, I think they’re very good as a team, and I thought Fallon Henley was the best part about this match! However, Jacy Jayne was also very good, I think she’s doing a good job as the NXT Women’s Champion, and I also thought Jordynne Grace looked strong as always! The interesting part is Blake Monroe, this was the first time I’d seen her wrestle, and whilst she was okay, she lagged behind the others! Jazmyn Nyx also got involved plenty of times, as expected, but what wasn’t expected was The N.Y.X. got dealt with by none other than Masha Slamovich, the TNA Knockouts World Champion! This seemingly opened the door for Monroe to nail Jayne with a DDT to get the win on debut, and Blake pinning the NXT Women’s Champion is definitely something to keep an eye on!
