If you’ve read any of my 38 Premier League Preview articles over the course of the 2025/26 Season, you would know that I make predictions for every game! Just like every year, I collect all of those results, putting them into an overall table, and it’s now time to reflect on what the league would’ve looked like had I gotten every single prediction correct! Of course, there is a caveat in the sense that with games being moved, I wasn’t able to predict all 380 games, so instead, we go off Points Per Game!

20th: Burnley (0.38 PPG)
Over the course of the season, I predicted Burnley to pick up 14 points from 37 games, which averaged out at 0.38 PPG! I had The Clarets to win just 1 game, draw 11, and lose 25, whilst also scoring 19 goals and conceding 61! This wasn’t exactly correct, with Burnley finishing 19th with 22 points, but still, I was correct when it came to them being Relegated!
19th: Wolves (0.51 PPG)
Over the course of the season, I predicted Wolverhampton Wanderers to pick up 19 points from 37 games, which averaged out at 0.51 PPG! I had Wolves to win 3, draw 10, and lose 24 games, whilst also scoring 31 goals and conceding 70! Of course, Wolves did finish bottom this season, but their PPG averaged out at 0.53, with them only getting 1 more point (which funnily enough came in the game I didn’t predict for them)!
18th: West Ham (0.74 PPG)
Over the course of the season, I predicted West Ham United to pick up 28 points from 38 games, which averaged out at 0.74 PPG! I had The Hammers to win 4, draw 16, and lose 18 games, whilst also scoring 33 goals and conceding 57! I was spot on with West Ham when it came to their overall finishing position, but they did do better in terms of PPG, ending up with a 1.03 average (which still wasn’t enough to stay up)!
17th: Leeds (0.78 PPG)
Over the course of the season, I predicted Leeds United to pick up 29 points from 37 games, which averaged out at 0.78 PPG! I had The Whites to win 4, draw 17, and lose 16 games, whilst also scoring 38 goals and conceding 56! In fairness to Leeds, they did an awful lot better than this, finishing 14th overall with a PPG average of 1.24! Also, I’m noticing there’s a high amount of draws here!
16th: Crystal Palace (0.92 PPG)
Over the course of the season, I predicted Crystal Palace to pick up 34 points from 37 games, which averaged out at 0.92 PPG! I had The Eagles to win 6, draw 16, and lose 15 games, whilst also scoring 35 goals and conceding 44! Ultimately, Crystal Palace managed to finish one place higher in real-life, and they also did it with a much better 1.18 PPG!
15th: Everton (0.97 PPG)
Over the course of the season, I predicted Everton to pick up 37 points in 38 games, which averaged out at 0.97 PPG! I had The Toffees to win 7, draw 16, and lose 15 games, whilst also scoring 38 goals and conceding 46! Everton majorly outperformed this points-wise, with 49 points leading them to a PPG average of 1.29! However, Everton still only managed to finish 13th, just 2 places higher than where I have them here!
14th: Brentford (1.11 PPG)
Over the course of the season, I predicted Brentford to pick up 42 points from 38 games, which averaged out at 1.11 PPG! I had The Bees to win 10, draw 12, and lose 16 games, whilst also scoring 43 goals and conceding 48! Brentford massively outperformed this, with a 1.39 PPG average taking them all the way to a 9th-place finish! I’ll put my hands up; I got this one wrong!
13th: Tottenham (1.13 PPG)
Over the course of the season, I predicted Tottenham Hotspur to pick up 43 points from 38 games, which averaged out at 1.13 PPG! I had Spurs to win 9, draw 16, and lose 13 games, whilst also scoring 55 goals and conceding 63! It’s funny because I only predicted Tottenham to pick up 2 more points than they actually did, and yet, they finished 4 places lower in 17th! What this shows is I underestimated the teams below them!
12th: Sunderland (1.16 PPG)
Over the course of the season, I predicted Sunderland AFC to pick up 44 points from 38 games, which averaged out at 1.16 PPG! I had The Black Cats to win 9, draw 17, and lose 12 games, whilst also scoring 41 goals and conceding 50! I was once again miles off place-wise, with Sunderland finishing all the way up in 7th with a PPG average of 1.42! At least I didn’t have Sunderland last in this set of predictions!
11th: Nottingham Forest (1.24 PPG)
Over the course of the season, I predicted Nottingham Forest to pick up 47 points from 38 games, which averaged out at 1.24 PPG! I had Forest to win 12, draw 11, and lose 15 games, whilst also scoring 36 goals and conceding 46! Once again, I only had Nottingham Forest to win 1 more game than they did, and yet, they finished 5 places lower in the real-life table! Absolutely insane, but I clearly overestimated them!
10th: Newcastle (1.29 PPG)
Over the course of the season, I predicted Newcastle United to pick up 49 points from 38 games, which averaged out at 1.29 PPG! I had The Magpies to win 12, draw 13, and lose 13 games, whilst also scoring 57 goals and conceding 54! Whilst I did get to it a different way, Newcastle did actually end up with 49 points, which is quite impressive! However, I didn’t quite get this fully spot on, as a 1.29 PPG average in real life was only good enough for 12th!
9th: Bournemouth (1.32 PPG)
Over the course of the season, I predicted AFC Bournemouth to pick up 49 points from 37 games, which averaged out at 1.32 PPG! I had The Cherries to win 11, draw 16, and lose 10 games, whilst also scoring 58 goals and conceding 55! Bournemouth did a lot better than this, with a 1.50 PPG average enough to take them all the way to a Top 6 finish! Impressive!
8th: Brighton (1.49 PPG)
Over the course of the season, I predicted Brighton and Hove Albion to pick up 55 points from 37 games, which averaged out at 1.49 PPG! I had The Seagulls to win 13, draw 16, and lose 8 games, whilst also scoring 59 goals and conceding 54! I find my predictions for Brighton to be quite amusing, because despite all of the annoyance that they give me, they did actually finish 8th, meaning that I got this right! Also, funnily enough, Brighton and Hove Albion managed 8th with a less-good PPG average of 1.39, and yet it was still enough for them to qualify for European Football!
7th: Manchester United (1.63 PPG)
Over the course of the season, I predicted Manchester United to pick up 62 points from 38 games, which averaged out at 1.63 PPG! I had Man United to win 15, draw 17, and lose 6 games, whilst also scoring 62 goals and conceding 44! Ultimately, Manchester United did a lot better than this, with a 1.87 PPG average leading United to a strong third-place finish!
6th: Chelsea (1.65 PPG)
Over the course of the season, I predicted Chelsea to pick up 61 points from 37 games, which averaged out at 1.65 PPG! I had The Blues to win 15, draw 16, and lose 6 games, whilst also scoring 59 goals and conceding 42! I clearly had more hope and belief in Chelsea than I ever should’ve, as they wallowed to a disappointing 10th-place finish with a PPG average of 1.37!
5th: Fulham (1.68 PPG)
Over the course of the season, I predicted Fulham to pick up 64 points from 38 games, which averaged out at 1.68 PPG! I had The Cottagers to win 17, draw 13, and lose 8 games, whilst also scoring 50 goals and conceding 38! Honestly, whilst I very much got this prediction wrong, it’s not exactly like it’s without reason, as Fulham could’ve easily finished 5th with more consistency; they were only 8 points off! Ultimately, though, Fulham’s 1.37 PPG average was only good enough for 11th, which was pretty disappointing!
4th: Aston Villa (1.79 PPG)
Over the course of the season, I predicted Aston Villa to pick up 68 points from 38 games, which averaged out at 1.79 PPG! I had Villa to win 17, draw 17, and lose just 4 games, whilst also scoring 58 goals and conceding 39! Sadly for Villa, they were just 3 more goals off finishing 3rd! Ultimately, Aston Villa did finish 4th in real-life, so I got that spot on, although they actually pulled it off with a worse PPG average of 1.71! Crazy!
3rd: Liverpool (1.79 PPG)
Over the course of the season, I predicted Liverpool to pick up 68 points from 38 games, which averaged out at 1.79 PPG! I had The Reds to win 20, draw 8, and lose 10 games, whilst also scoring 68 goals and conceding 47! A year ago, I had Liverpool winning the league with a ridiculous 2.62 PPG average, and now I’ve predicted them to lose 10 games in a single season! That shows you just how much this team has fallen off within 12 months, but amazingly, I didn’t go far enough, with Liverpool finishing 5th with an average of just 1.58 PPG! No wonder Arne Slot’s been sacked!
2nd: Manchester City (2.36 PPG)
Over the course of the season, I predicted Manchester City to pick up 85 points from 36 games, which averaged out at 2.36 PPG! I had Man City to win 25, draw 10, and lose just 1 game, whilst also scoring 79 goals and conceding 44! I was correct when it came to Manchester City finishing second, but I was still a little bit too confident in them, as City only averaged 2.05 PPG!
1st: Arsenal (2.38 PPG)
Over the course of the season, I predicted Arsenal to pick up 88 points from 37 games, which averaged out at 2.38 PPG! I had The Gunners to win 26, draw 10, and lose just 1 game, whilst also scoring 77 goals and conceding 37! As we already know, Arsenal did end the year as Champions, but with a weaker PPG average of 2.24! Interestingly, this is the lowest Points Per Game average I’ve had for any Champion, despite the fact that Arsenal got more points this season than Liverpool did the year prior!
