Roman Reigns Starts the Show, Iyo Sky VS Raquel Rodriguez: Queen of the Ring Tournament (Semi-Finals)

After a recap of last week’s events, this week’s edition of Monday Night Raw kicked off with Roman Reigns and The Bloodline! Roman wanted to acknowledge both Jimmy and Jey Uso for their contributions to the family, but now it’s time to acknowledge Jacob Fatu! Jacob has no interest in acknowledging The Usos, however, although he does seem to have an awful lot of respect for The Tribal Chief! Eventually, Reigns gifted Fatu his own unique Ulafala, something Jey Uso was not impressed by at all! Before the segment could end, Jacob Fatu snapped, destroying actor Eric Andre, something that Adam Pearce and the WWE officials couldn’t afford to happen! Whilst it looked like Roman Reigns was going to stop this, he changed his mind, allowing Fatu to deliver multiple Uso Splashes to make a statement! Wild!

The first match of the night saw Iyo Sky and Raquel Rodriguez clash in a Queen of the Ring Semi-Final! Iyo Sky felt like the favourite to win it all when the brackets were first announced, but there was a very good reason for WWE to book a Liv Morgan-Raquel Rodriguez Final in Saudi Arabia! This match was decent; Iyo and Raquel have a lot of chemistry together due to many previous encounters, and I felt like this could go either way! Unfortunately, WWE didn’t take a risk, with Sky securing her spot in the Final with an Over the Moonsault to Rodriguez! I’m interested to see how Raquel Rodriguez reacts to this defeat, especially given the fact that the rest of The Judgment Day were nowhere to be seen!

Chad Gable VS Rusev, LA Knight Gets Interrupted

After Liv Morgan wished Roxanne Perez luck, Liv tried her best at convincing Danhausen to curse Dominik Mysterio’s opponent tonight, something Danhausen would only do for “human monies”! Anyway, after Seth Rollins challenged Bron Breakker to a Steel Cage Match at Night of Champions, Lyra Valkyria was delighted with Adam Pearce, a sentiment that LA Knight didn’t seem to hold, whilst Chad Gable admitted that there are certain people that he really needs to make amends with! One of those is potentially Maxxine Dupri, who was too preoccupied with Austin Theory! This then led nicely into the next match as Chad Gable returned to in-ring action against Rusev! Ethan Page was at ringside for this match, trying his best to help his “buddy” out, with multiple pieces of interference! It was great to see Chad Gable back; it’s been far too long, and I really hope he gets a proper push on Raw; he’s great! I was worried at one point that Rusev was actually going to win this match following a Machka Kick, but thankfully, Master Gable was eventually able to score the submission victory! After the match was over, Ethan Page attacked Chad from behind, leading to Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee running down to make the save!

Roman Reigns wasn’t that impressed with The Usos lack of understanding towards Jacob Fatu, and The Tribal Chief also wasn’t happy that LA Knight was still standing! Jimmy said he’d go and talk to him, before Bron Breakker said he’d finish Seth Rollins for good in Saudi Arabia next weekend! LA Knight was then in the ring to cut a promo on The Bloodline, saying that he wasn’t at all surprised with the outcome of his King of the Ring match last week! According to LA, Solo Sikoa has clearly reunited with The Bloodline, something that Jimmy Uso quickly interrupted to point out that that isn’t the case, and that Solo is doing everything for himself! Jey Uso then arrived to also clarify this, but he wants acknowledgment from Knight, something The Megastar has no interest in offering! This led to a brawl breaking out between LA Knight and Jey Uso, forcing Jimmy Uso to help his Twin brother, although he wouldn’t let Jey use a steel chair! This opened the door for Knight to take both men out with the steel chair, but he wouldn’t stand tall for long as Jacob Fatu showed up out of nowhere to lock in the Tongan Death Grip! Fatu is a beast!

Charlotte Flair VS Roxanne Perez, Je’Von Evans Gets Interrupted

Jimmy Uso was annoyed with Jey Uso’s actions towards LA Knight, whilst Jacob Fatu said he did what he did for The Tribal Chief! Charlotte Flair was then on Raw next as she went one-on-one with Roxanne Perez! These two facing off is very much a clash of different eras, with Charlotte being a member of the original Four Horsewomen, whilst Roxanne is part of the NXT 2.0 Era (along with the likes of Tiffany Stratton, Lyra Valkyria, and Jacy Jayne)! I quite liked the idea of this match on paper, but execution-wise, it was a complete and utter mess! At one point, Liv Morgan shoved Alexa Bliss into the ring post, and that added literally nothing to this contest, like it didn’t lead to anything! On top of this, Alexa got in the ring to assist Flair with rolling up Perez, which is exactly the same finish we saw on SmackDown last week with Brie Bella and Paige (and even in the past against The Judgment Day), and yet, that wasn’t the finish because it looked like horrible! Instead, The Queen scored the win by forcing The Prodigy to tap out in the Figure-8, and I’m completely bamboozled by whoever thought that any of this was a good idea!

From a pair of former NXT stars to another, Je’Von Evans came down to the ring to be interviewed by Jackie Redmond regarding the King of the Ring Tournament! Despite the obvious experience difference, Je’Von is confident that he’s going to “Yeet” Jey Uso out of the tournament this Friday, setting himself a spot in the Final at Night of Champions! Shockingly, Logan Paul’s music hit as The Maverick made a surprise return to tell Je’Von that he has to join The Vision! After Evans refused, we got a match between Austin Theory and The Young O.G., and I quite enjoyed this! I like Logan Paul still being around despite being injured; he adds a lot even without wrestling, and the crowd certainly reacted to him! Whilst I don’t feel like he’s being utilised to his best, Austin Theory is still a great in-ring competitor, whilst I always enjoy watching Je’Von Evans wrestle! Surprisingly, this match didn’t end clean, with Evans winning by disqualification after he got met with a ridiculous mid-air Spear by Bron Breakker! Bron was then looking to take Je’Von out completely, leading to The Street Profits running down to make the save! This was all done to set up a World Tag Team Title match for London next week, and I’d assume that this will also protect Je’Von Evans when he loses to Jey Uso this Friday!

King of the Ring Tournament (Semi-Finals): Dominik Mysterio VS Oba Femi

After Roman Reigns asked Jacob Fatu one more request, it was Main Event time as Dominik Mysterio was aiming to pull off the upset of all upsets when he faced Oba Femi in the King of the Ring Semi-Finals! I was so excited to see this match; I thought it was going to be pretty hilarious, but honestly, this match barely had anything in it! The large majority of this match was just Dominik escaping to the outside and only getting in the ring when JD McDonagh could distract The Ruler! Femi had then had enough of all of this, beating Mysterio convincingly with a Fall From Grace, before Oba Femi closed the show by questioning what type of man Brock Lesnar is!
