Rhea Ripley, Alexa Bliss, and Charlotte Flair VS Jade Cargill, B-Fab, and Michin

May 2026’s edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event kicked off with Rhea Ripley teaming up with both Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair to take on the trio of Jade Cargill, B-Fab, and Michin! In fairness, a lot of this match was better than I expected it to be, with them actually putting on a decent wrestling match! Michin is by far the best performer in her team, whilst I thought Alexa Bliss looked the best out of the three Babyfaces! However, whilst the wrestling was decent, the acting skills were still horrendous, with Charlotte and Rhea’s acting being particularly painful to watch! Eventually, Jade Cargill took advantage of all of this, dropping Ripley with a Jaded to score the win, which most likely means that she will lose next week!

Becky Lynch VS Sol Ruca

After multiple occasions of different advertising throughout the week, Becky Lynch and Sol Ruca went one-on-one without the Women’s Intercontinental Championship on the line! That was clearly a storyline decision, as this match here only went a couple of minutes! See, Becky’s favourite referee Jessika Carr was in charge of this match, and she eventually got wiped out by Sol after Lynch pulled her into harms way! As expected, the referee called for the bell, but to Lynch’s surprise, Carr gifted the DQ win to Ruca! This set up a segment later in the show where Nick Aldis confirmed that Becky will now need to defend her Women’s IC Title against Sol Ruca at Clash in Italy next week, and yeah, all of this was the definition of a TV segment!

Intercontinental Championship: Penta VS Ethan Page

The biggest match heading into the show was up next, as “All Ego” Ethan Page challenged Penta for the Intercontinental Championship! This was honestly the only match going into this show that I was actually excited to see, and that’s mainly because this is the only match (with perhaps an exception for the Main Event) that WWE has actually made feel like a big deal! Anyway, whilst this match deserved to Main Event this show, that didn’t stop it from being great, with this probably being the match of the night for me! Penta has established himself as a top star on Raw, with him currently in the midst of a great IC Title run, whilst Ethan Page is entering the Main Roster off the back of arguably the greatest North American Title reign in NXT history! So, as I expected, this match delivered, with a good bit of drama after the referee took too long to turn around and count a pin that probably would’ve seen Page end the night as Champion! Instead, Penta took advantage, hitting a fantastic Mexican Destroyer to retain his Intercontinental Championship, and I look forward to seeing these two fight again down the line!

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships: Brie Bella and Paige VS The Irresistible Forces

The WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships were the next belts to be on the line as The Irresistible Forces looked to recapture the gold off Brie Bella and Paige! There definitely wasn’t any hype heading into this match, with the Women’s Tag Division feeling worse than ever before! Thankfully, nothing exactly went wrong here, but it was just so dull and uninteresting! I think Lash Legend and Nia Jax are good individually, but as a team they just don’t work, at least for me anyway! There’s also a major issue in WWE right now when it comes to people winning clean, and that once again appeared here, with Brie and Paige cheating to retain their Titles! Sometimes, if done right, interference does work! However, this is an example of when it doesn’t, because this is the exact opposite way that role models would act, something Paige and Bella keep portraying themselves as!

World Tag Team Championships: The Vision VS The Street Profits

And in the Main Event of the latest edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event, The Vision and The Street Profits squared off with the World Tag Team Championships on the line! Whilst I wouldn’t have chosen this match as the Main Event, I will say that it delivered! The action was fast-paced, the drama was on point, and this was more like the type of Tag Team action that you’d see in NXT! It also felt like both teams could win here, especially due to it being the final match on this show, and the near-fall where Montez Ford hits a Frog Splash after Angelo Dawkins pounced Bron Breakker over the announce table (which was an amazing spot), only for Paul Heyman to put Austin Theory’s foot on the rope was superb! Logan Paul then took advantage of all of this, wrecking Ford with brass knuckles to the face, and this simply allowed Theory to fall into the cover to get the win! After the match was over, Bron Breakker made his mark, nailing both The Profits with Spears to leave The Vision standing tall as Saturday Night’s Main Event went off the air!
