The LWO VS Octagon Jr, Aero Star, and Mr. Iguana

After a pair of National Anthems and a Rey Mysterio promo, WWE Worlds Collide 2025 properly kicked off with The LWO taking on the trio of Octagon Jr, Aero Star, and Mr. Iguana! I was really looking forward to this show because I always enjoy learning about new performers, especially established stars on other brands/in different companies, and I enjoyed this too! I knew of Octagon Jr, he’s really talented whilst Aero Star had a really cool look! As for Mr. Iguana, he is so unique, and that’s exactly what you want in Professional Wrestling, gosh I’ve seen 12 hours of wrestling this weekend, it’s nice to see something a bit different! The LWO are also really good, it was cool to see Lince Dorado back, him stamping on the iguana was absolutely insane, but it was well done! In the end, it was Octagon Jr who was able to get the win following a great move on Dorado before Dominik Mysterio tried to talk trash, setting up an Intercontinental Championship Match for Money in the Bank!

Stephanie Vaquer and Lola Vice VS Chik Tormenta and Dalys

It was then time for some Luchadora action as Stephanie Vaquer teamed up with Lola Vice to take on the duo of Chik Tormenta and Dalys! This was the shortest match of the night, and it was mostly just Chik and Dalys beating up Lola! Once Stephanie Vaquer tagged in, she went on a roll, taking out two women she has plenty of history with before both Vaquer and Vice delivered Devil’s Kiss to the delight of the crowd! Stephanie then delivered an SVB to get the win as she warmed up for MITB!

Legado Del Fantasma VS El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr, Pagano, and Psycho Clown

After a backstage promo, Legado Del Fantasma were ready to defend their turf as they faced off with the trio of El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr, Pagano, and Psycho Clown! This match got better as it went on, I enjoyed Dr. Wagner Jr’s work, he was pretty good, and I always enjoy watching Santos Escobar! This was a match where it felt like Triple A had a win coming, but that ultimately didn’t come to be as Escobar delivered a Phantom Driver to get the win! This result definitely surprised me, but it’s nice to see The Emperor of Lucha Libre scoring a pinfall victory!

NXT North American Championship: Ethan Page VS Je’Von Evans VS Rey Fenix VS Laredo Kid

Whilst the crowd cheered for most of the show, the boos were ringing for Ethan Page as All Ego was set to defend his NXT North American Championship in a Fatal 4-Way against Je’Von Evans, Rey Fenix, and Laredo Kid! This was the first great match of the night, this was really good from everyone involved! I’ve seen all four of these guys perform so I knew this was going to be good, but they still had to deliver which they did! Laredo Kid and Rey Fenix delivered some great high-flying action whilst Je’Von Evans is absolutely amazing! However, on this night, after Ethan threw Je’Von out of the ring, Page took advantage and dropped Laredo with a Twisted Grin to get the win and retain his North American Title! The crowd was not happy!

AAA Mega Championship: El Hijo del Vikingo VS Chad Gable

And in the Main Event of WWE Worlds Collide, El Hijo del Vikingo put his newly won AAA Mega Championship on the line against Chad Gable! This was really cool for a lot of reasons, it was cool to see Triple A’s top Title on the line, it was awesome to see Chad Gable in a Main Event spot like this, and it was just fun to watch two terrific in-ring workers go at it! I was really excited to watch El Hijo again after I saw him for the first time back in April (in TNA), and he showed out once again, he is so good! I mean, we all know how great Master Gable is, Chad pulled out another strong display as he did come close to capturing Gold! However, after the most amazing Mexican Destroyer you will ever see, del Vikingo was able to nail Gable with his finisher to get the win and stand tall to close the show! I enjoyed this, WWE should do this again down the line!
