It’s that time of the year again where I Roundup the 2024/25 Premier League season for one last time as I give out my Season Awards! As always, there will be 11 categories with 6 nominations for each, and just to explain things a little, Breakout Player is an award for someone who’s massively grown/come out of nowhere the past 12 months whilst “Most Underappreciated” player is an award for someone who’s had an amazing season, but hasn’t made any other lists! So, without further ado, let’s start with the Goalkeepers!

Goalkeeper of the Season Nominees:
Alisson

We start with the Champions’ Goalkeeper, Alisson! Alisson kept 9 Clean Sheets in 28 matches (7th-best), and he conceded the third least amount of goals of any starting Goalie per 90 (1.0)! As for Alisson’s other stats, he ranked 4th in Save Percentage (72.9%) and joint-4th in the Goals Prevented chart (+2.1)! A decent year for Alisson, but there was definitely better!
David Raya

One of the two Golden Glove winners, David Raya had another positive season in goal at the Emirates! David Raya kept 13 Clean Sheets in 38 matches (joint-best), and he also conceded the last amount of goals of any starting Keeper per 90 (0.9)! As for Raya’s other stats, he ranked 6th in Save Percentage (71.7%) and 8th in the Goals Prevented chart (+2.0)! Another good year for Arsenal’s Number 1!
Ederson

Another season, another year where Ederson makes the Nominations list! Ederson kept 10 Clean Sheets in 26 matches (5th-best), and he also conceded the second least amount of goals of any starting Goalkeeper per 90 (1.0)! As for Ederson’s other stats, he ranked 10th in Save Percentage (67.5%), but joint-second in the Goals Prevented chart (+4.5)! Most of Ederson's stats are actually really impressive, but his Save Percentage isn’t that great compared to the other names on this list!
Robert Sanchez

Whilst the errors may still be there, I think Robert Sanchez had a much stronger campaign than usual! Robert Sanchez kept 10 Clean Sheets in 32 matches (6th-best), and he conceded the fourth least amount of any starting Goalie per 90 (1.1)! As for Sanchez’s other stats, he ranked joint-first in Save Percentage (73.6%) and joint-4th in the Goals Prevented chart (+2.1)! I’d say that’s a pretty strong year for the Chelsea Keeper!
Matz Sels

The second Golden Glove Winner, Matz Sels, impressed massively in his first full season at Nottingham Forest! Matz Sels kept 13 Clean Sheets in 38 matches (joint-best), and he conceded the 6th-least amount of goals of any starting Keeper per 90 (1.2)! As for Sels’ other stats, he’s ranked 5th in Save Percentage (72.3%) and joint-second in the Goals Prevented chart (+4.5)! Matz Sels is really good, Forest did a great bit of business signing him!
Jordan Pickford

After winning this award last year, Jordan Pickford is back to try and go back-to-back! Jordan Pickford kept 12 Clean Sheets in 38 matches (third-best), and he conceded the 5th-least amount of goals of any starting Goalkeeper per 90 (1.2)! As for Pickford’s other stats, he’s ranked third in Save Percentage (73.5%) and first in the Goals Prevented chart (+6.2)! Once again, Jordan Pickford has had a very strong season!

Defender of the Season Nominees:
Virgil van Dijk

There’s no doubt that Liverpool’s Captain Virgil van Dijk is so key to their success! Virgil van Dijk played in 37 games for Liverpool this season, scoring 3 goals whilst also winning 68.7% of his duels! As always with these Awards, defenders are the hardest to rate, but I think van Dijk’s importance to this team’s success this year cannot be overstated!
Trent Alexander-Arnold

Whilst he may now be playing for Real Madrid at the Club World Cup, Trent Alexander-Arnold’s final year at Liverpool was another strong one! Trent Alexander-Arnold played in 33 games for Liverpool this season, scoring 3 goals and picking up a further 6 assists! However, this is also a defensive award, and Alexander-Arnold only won 47.4% of his duels, which isn’t very good at all! However, his passing skill can never be ignored!
Josko Gvardiol

Whilst Manchester City’s defence was pretty poor, Josko Gvardiol was arguably their Player of the Season! Josko Gvardiol played in 37 games for Manchester City this season, scoring 5 goals as he featured predominantly as a Left-Back! In fact, no defender scored more goals than Gvardiol this season, and he also won 61% of his duels which is quite high for Full-Backs! In fact, the large majority of Josko Gvardiol’s stats compared to players in the same position is very strong, and I can see why he won City’s Player of the Year award now!
Dean Huijsen

What a first year Dean Huijsen ended up having! Dean Huijsen played in 32 games for AFC Bournemouth this season, scoring 3 goals and picking up 2 assists which isn’t bad for a defender! Huijsen also won 72.2% of his tackles which is very strong, and he won plenty of aerial duels too (68)! Dean Huijsen has since signed for Real Madrid, he’s playing for them right now in the Club World Cup, so massive credit goes to him!
Daniel Munoz

For me, I view Daniel Munoz as somewhat of a Right Wing-Back, and on that basis, he deserves a spot on this list! Daniel Munoz played in 37 games for Crystal Palace this season, scoring 4 goals and picking up another 5 assists! Munoz was one of the best defenders going forward, he was always a threat that Palace used effectively, and he also won plenty of duels and also tackles! However, percentage-wise, Daniel Munoz only won 49.6% of his duels, so he could’ve done more!
Pedro Porro

Whilst Tottenham Hotspur had a pretty torrid campaign, Pedro Porro still shined! Pedro Porro played in 33 games for Tottenham Hotspur this season, scoring 2 goals and picking up another 5 assists! All of Porro’s attacking stats are very strong, with his weakness coming in duels (winning only 50.4% of them)! However, Pedro Porro did win 74.2% of his tackles, so that’s pretty strong!

Midfielder of the Season Nominees:
Ryan Gravenberch

Let’s start off with another key contributor to Liverpool’s winning campaign, Ryan Gravenberch! Ryan Gravenberch played in 37 games for Liverpool this season, earning 4 assists along the way! Gravenberch was one of the best midfielders when it came to passes completed, successful dribbles, and fouls won, and he was also pretty strong at winning duels! Being a defensive midfielder means it’s always harder to get a read on just how well a player has done, but Ryan Gravenberch has certainly been key to his side’s success!
Alexis Mac Allister

From one Liverpool player to another, Alexis Mac Allister went on to have another strong year for The Reds! Alexis Mac Allister played in 35 games for Liverpool this season, scoring 5 goals and picking up another 5 assists! In fact, nearly all of Mac Allister’s stats are strong compared to players in the same position as him, minus his dribbling success (just 43.2%)! What I will say, though, is I’m very impressed with Alexis’ defensive stats, winning 61.1% of his tackles! When you win the league like Liverpool did, you usually need a couple of really strong players in the middle of the park, and Alexis Mac Allister was certainly that!
Youri Tielemans

Whilst his first season at Aston Villa wasn’t easy, Youri Tielemans stepped up to the plate in his second campaign! Youri Tielemans played in 36 games for Aston Villa this season, scoring 3 goals and bagging another 7 assists! Tielemans is so good on the ball, having a successful dribble percentage of 62 whilst having nearly more touches than any other midfielder! Tielemans also won an awful lot of fouls (56), won 69% of his tackles, and also 58.1% of his duels! I’m realising I’m going very defensively heavy so far with my midfielders, but they’re too good not to talk about!
Justin Kluivert

Whilst you could make an argument for Justin Kluivert being more of a winger, I see him as a CAM which is why he’s made it onto this list! Justin Kluivert played in 34 games for AFC Bournemouth this season, scoring 12 goals and bagging another 6 assists! Kluivert is so good going forward, being one of the most dangerous players in his position, I mean he ended up joint-12th in the Goals + Assists combined list! Bournemouth will do well to keep hold of him because Kluivert is more than good enough to be playing at the top!
Eberechi Eze

Another year, another season where Eberechi Eze stared for Crystal Palace! Eberechi Eze played in 34 games for Crystal Palace this season, scoring 8 goals and also bagging 8 assists! Everything Eze does is gold, his shooting, his passing, his dribbling, the amount of chances he creates for his teammates, and he actually wins a lot more defensive duels than you think he might (164)! I think Eberechi Eze playing in Europe next season is very, very much deserved!
Bruno Fernandes

Despite all of Manchester United's struggles, you cannot deny that they would be even worse off without their Captain Bruno Fernandes! Bruno Fernandes played in 36 games for Manchester United this season, scoring 8 goals and picking up another 10 assists! In fact, no one made as many successful passes from the CAM role as Fernandes (1,647), and he was also 4th in the Assists chart! The only negative with Bruno is his discipline, he picked up 2 Red Cards this season, but other than that he was very strong!

Attacker of the Season Nominees:
Mohamed Salah

Year 8 at Liverpool might well prove to be Mohamed SCredalah’s best in a red shirt! Mohamed Salah played in all 38 games for Liverpool this season, scoring a massive 29 goals and earning an insane 18 assists! Salah won the Golden Boot, the top Assister award, was 18 goals clear of anyone else in the Goals + Assists combined chart, and he ranked 2nd in Goals per 90 (0.77)! What a year for Mo Salah!
Erling Haaland

Even when not at his best, Erling Haaland’s numbers are still so strong! Erling Haaland played in 31 games for Manchester City this season, scoring 22 goals whilst also getting another 3 assists! Haaland finished as the league’s third top scorer, 4th in the Goals + Assists combined chart, and 5th in Goals per 90 (0.72)! And they say Erling Haaland isn’t very good!
Cole Palmer

Another player that failed to reach the heights of last year was Cole Palmer, but once again, that doesn’t mean he didn’t play well! Cole Palmer played in 37 games for Chelsea this season, scoring 15 goals and bagging another 8 assists! Whilst Palmer was only 9th in the Golden Boot charts, he was ranked 6th when it came to Goals + Assists combined, and I just think he was very strong once again! Ultimately, 23 goal contributions is where you needed to be if you wanted to make this list, and out of the 8 that did achieve that goal, I think there are worse than Cole Palmer!
Alexander Isak

For the second-straight year, Alexander Isak is a nominee for Attacker of the Season! Alexander Isak played in 34 games for Newcastle United this season, scoring 23 goals and bagging a strong 6 assists! Isak finished second in both the Golden Boot race and the Goals + Assists combined chart, and he was 4th in Goals per 90 (0.75)! Alexander Isak is such a brilliant centre forward, he is so strong and talented, and I expect him to be here again this time next year!
Bryan Mbeumo

After consistently being an underappreciated and underrated player, Bryan Mbeumo is finally receiving the flowers his talent deserves! Bryan Mbeumo played in 38 games for Brentford this season, scoring 20 goals whilst also earning another 7 assists! Mbeumo finished 5th in the Golden Boot race, and 3rd in Goals + Assists combined, and that is very strong for a player not playing for one of the bigger clubs! Also, whilst this won’t get talked about enough, no other player completed more successful crosses than Bryan Mbeumo, his expected Assists was the highest of anyone in the league, and I think that says an awful lot about Mbeumo’s brilliance!
Yoane Wissa

From one Brentford forward to another, Yoane Wissa had his own special season! Yoane Wissa played in 35 games for Brentford this season, scoring a very strong 19 goals whilst also gaining 4 assists! Wissa was 6th in Goals Scored and 7th in Goals + Assists combined, but what really stands out for me is the fact that Yoane didn’t score a single penalty all season! In fact, in open play, Yoane Wissa scored the same amount of goals as both Isak and Haaland, and only 1 less than Salah! Very, very impressive indeed!

Biggest Overachiever Nominees:
Liverpool: 1st, 84pts

There weren’t too many people who backed Liverpool to end the season as Champions! There was a level of unknown surrounding Liverpool at the start of the campaign, with Arne Slot taking over from Jurgen Klopp! However, things ended up going pretty damn well for Slot in his first season at Anfield, leading The Reds to a comfortable Premier League Title (10 points clear of second)! An impressive start to Liverpool’s new era!
Nottingham Forest: 7th, 65pts

At the start of the season, I predicted that Nottingham Forest would get Relegated, and instead they qualified for Europe! Forest were brilliant for the large majority of the season, smashing all expectations as they fully merited a Top 7 finish! However, the only thing that stops Nottingham Forest from being an even bigger overachiever is their poor end-of-season form, ultimately costing them a place in next season’s UEFA Champions League!
Brighton: 8th, 61pts

Brighton and Hove Albion were another team that started the season with a brand-new Manager, in fact the youngest in the league in the form of 31-year-old Fabian Hurzeler! It was always going to be difficult for Brighton to adapt to Hurzeler’s style of play after years under Roberto De Zerbi, but The Seagulls did a great job, hauling themselves up to 8th with over 60 points! The only negative I have about Brighton’s season is I actually think they should’ve done better, so they underachieved in that sense!
Bournemouth: 9th, 56pts

Another smaller team that went on to have a great season was AFC Bournemouth! Bournemouth had finished 15th and 12th in their two seasons back in England’s top-flight, and they went on to equal their highest-ever league finish whilst also breaking their Premier League points record! Whilst Europe ultimately wasn’t meant to be, it was still a strong year for Andoni Iraola’s men!
Brentford: 10th, 56pts

As Thomas Frank departs for Tottenham, he can be happy with his final season in charge of Brentford! Brentford were another team that punched above their weight for most of the season, with them challenging for Europe right until the end of the season! The Bees also did a great job of not letting the (official) loss of Ivan Toney hurt them, with Mbeumo and Wissa staring for them, and yeah, it was an impressive year for them given they finished 16th in 2024!
Everton: 13th, 48pts

For the first half of the season, Everton were really struggling under Sean Dyche, not even averaging a point per game! However, the decision to sack Dyche and bring in former Manager David Moyes proved to be a bit of a masterstroke, with Moyes earning 1.6 PPG to guide The Toffees to a 13th-place finish! I mean, the fact that Everton finished closer to 4th than Relegation (in terms of points) is a really good result!

Biggest Underachiever Nominees:
Arsenal: 2nd, 74pts

Whilst this might seem a little harsh, I really don’t see it that way! Arsenal came into the season knowing they had to win the league this year, that they had to finally beat Manchester City after 2 years of falling at the final hurdle! Now, Arsenal did beat Man City, but they still didn’t win the league, finishing 10 points behind Champions Liverpool! I don’t see how that’s good enough at all, The Gunners didn’t even average 2 points per game, and it feels like another missed opportunity for them!
Manchester City: 3rd, 71pts

After years of greatness, Manchester City finally fell off their throne! Man City were horrendous in the middle part of the season, picking up just 2 points from 8 games, like that’s bottom of the league levels of bad! The positive for City is they were able to recover enough to still secure themselves a place in the Champions League for another year, but that doesn’t at all mean that they didn’t have a poor year!
West Ham: 14th, 43pts

The expectations were high for West Ham United heading into the 2024/25 Season, with the appointment of Julen Lopetegui bringing a lot of confidence into the club! However, that didn’t work out at all, resulting in Lopetegui being sacked for Graham Potter, only for that to not work out too well either! In fact, Lopetegui actually had a better winning percentage than Potter, and it meant The Hammers ended up finishing in a mediocre 14th!
Manchester United: 15th, 42pts

This may well have been Manchester United’s worst season in the Premier League era! Manchester United were absolutely awful under Eric ten Hag, resulting in him getting sacked and Ruben Amorim coming in as his replacement! However, Amorim ended up doing worse than ETH, with United scraping across the line in 15th! Just 42 points, half of the Champions’ total, wow!
Tottenham: 17th, 38pts

Speaking of disappointing, what on earth were Tottenham Hotspur doing this season?! After having a really positive first year under Ange Postecoglou, there was hope that this could continue, but it didn’t as Tottenham were a complete shambles, earning just 38 points to finish 17th, 1 spot above the Relegation Zone! Spurs lost 22 games, 22 games, and to make things worse, 10 of them were at home! Whilst winning the Europa League was indeed a special moment, that doesn’t change how disappointing Tottenham were in the League!
Southampton: 20th, 12pts

And if you thought those last couple of teams were poor, I dread to think what you think about Southampton! Southampton had one of the worst seasons in Premier League history, earning just 12 points and 2 wins in 38 games! Both of The Saints’ main Managers in the campaign earnt just 0.3 PPG, with their top scorer scoring just 4 goals! I never want to write about The Saints ever again; they were that bad!

Breakout Player of the Year Nominees:
Morgan Rogers

Morgan Rogers had quite the first full season at Aston Villa! Morgan Rogers played in 37 games for Aston Villa this season, scoring 8 goals and bagging another 10 assists! 18 goal contributions is a pretty impressive tally which saw Rogers earn his way into the England squad, and the young 22-year-old is only getting started!
Chris Wood

From one side of the Footballing age spectrum to another, Chris Wood proved an awful lot of people wrong this season! Chris Wood played in 36 games for Nottingham Forest this season, scoring a massive 20 goals whilst also earning 3 assists! Wood finished 4th in the Golden Boot race as well as 8th in the Goals + Assists combined chart, and it’s incredibly impressive from a player who’s been average (at best) for most of his career!
Matz Sels

The most amazing thing about Matz Sels’ season is the fact that it came from absolutely nowhere! Matz Sels played in all 38 games for Nottingham Forest this season, winning the Golden Glove award with his 13 Clean Sheets! Sels was also second in the Goals Prevented chart (+4.5), and all of the other key stats have him inside the Top 6 for Goalkeepers! Talk about a breakout season!
Antoine Semenyo

After an okay 2023/24 campaign, Antonie Semenyo really became an asset for AFC Bournemouth! Antoine Semenyo played in 37 games for AFC Bournemouth this season, scoring 11 goals whilst also bagging another 5 assists! Semenyo was one of the better wingers when it came to goals scored, successful dribbles, and no winger won more defensive duels than him! I really rate Semenyo, I think he’s a talented player!
Dean Huijsen

As far as first seasons go, I don’t think Dean Huijsen could’ve hoped for much more! Dean Huijsen played in 32 games for AFC Bournemouth this season, scoring 3 goals and picking up 2 assists which isn’t bad for a defender! Huijsen also won 72.2% of his tackles which is very strong, and he won plenty of aerial duels too (68)! The fact that Dean Huijsen has now moved to Real Madrid means he truly did breakout!
Amad

Out of all of Manchester United’s players this season, Amad Diallo was the one who impressed me the most! Amad played in 26 games for Manchester United this season, scoring 8 goals and creating another 6 assists! This kind of came out of nowhere for Amad, he’d only really had one strong season before (for Sunderland in the Championship), but yet he was a shining light in a pretty dismal Old Trafford!

Most Underappreciated Player Nominees:
Jacob Murphy

What an underrated season Jacob Murphy has ended up having! Jacob Murphy played in 35 games for Newcastle United this season, scoring 8 goals and bagging a superb 12 assists! In fact, Murphy was second in the Assists chart this season, and 11th in Goals and Assists combined! I think 20 goal contributions is pretty damn good work, and Jacob Murphy deserves an awful lot more praise than he’s getting!
Anthony Elanga

2025 might finally have been the year where Anthony Elanga realised his true potential! Anthony Elanga played in all 38 games for Nottingham Forest this season, scoring 6 goals and creating another 11 assists! Elanga was third in the Assists chart, a pretty positive result, and he won 47 fouls too! I think it’s important for Anthony Elanga to have another season like this next year, but for now, this is a good start!
Morgan Gibbs-White

Another Nottingham Forest player to have a strong year was their key playmaker, Morgan Gibbs-White! Morgan Gibbs-White played in 34 games for Nottingham Forest this season, scoring 7 goals and earning another 8 assists! I find that Gibbs-White is very good at creating chances for others, and this is now the second-straight year where he’s made a big difference to this Forest side!
Dean Henderson

I tell you, Dean Henderson was not a million miles away from making my Goalkeeper of the Year shortlist! Dean Henderson kept 11 Clean Sheets in 38 games (4th-best), and he conceded 1.3 Goals per 90! As for Henderson’s other stats, he ranked 13th in Save Percentage (67.1%) and 4th in the Goals Prevented chart (+2.1)! Dean Henderson has always been a reliable Goalkeeper, and he deserves to play in Europe!
Jarrod Bowen

Jarrod Bowen is becoming a bit of a regular in this category! Jarrod Bowen played in 34 games for West Ham United this season, scoring 13 goals and earning another 8 assists! Bowen actually ended up 9th in the Goals + Assists chart, and he was the second-best winger on the list! Bowen was also one of the best when it came to chances created, successful dribbles, and even duels won! I rate Jarrod Bowen so highly, I think he’s far too good for West Ham!
Matheus Cunha

I couldn’t do a Premier League Awards list without talking about Matheus Cunha! Matheus Cunha played in 33 games for Wolverhampton Wanderers this season, scoring 15 goals and bagging another 6 assists! Cunha finished 8th in the Golden Boot race as well as 10th in the Goals + Assists combined chart, and his stats are insanely strong compared to other Attacking Midfielders (even though Cunha is a lot more than just a CAM)! It’s now 2 great seasons for Matheus Cunha, in fact, this is the second-straight year he’s made this list, and he’s been “rewarded” with a move to Manchester United (as a result)!

Young Player of the Season Nominees:
Ryan Gravenberch

We start with a man who’s already won one award, Ryan Gravenberch! Ryan Gravenberch played in 37 games for Liverpool this season, earning 4 assists along the way! Gravenberch was one of the best midfielders when it came to passes completed, successful dribbles, and fouls won, and he was also pretty strong at winning duels! Like I’ve already said, Ryan Gravenberch has had a great year, he was the best midfielder, and the fact he’s eligible for Young Player of the Year is actually kind of insane!
Josko Gvardiol

Josko Gvardiol is looking to keep Manchester City’s 100% winning streak (of this award) alive! Josko Gvardiol played in 37 games for Manchester City this season, scoring 5 goals as he featured predominantly as a Left-Back! In fact, no defender scored more goals than Gvardiol this season, and he also won 61% of his duels which is quite high for Full-Backs! A strong season for a great player!
Cole Palmer

Cole Palmer is once again in the running for Young Player of the Season! Considering this award is supposed to be for younger players breaking out, 23 goal contributions would win you this more often than not!
Morgan Rogers

Morgan Rogers’ strong breakout year has earned him a place in these nominations! Morgan Rogers played in 37 games for Aston Villa this season, scoring 8 goals and bagging another 10 assists! 18 goal contributions is a pretty impressive tally for the young 22-year-old, and he’ll be looking to be straight back here next year!
Dean Huijsen

Dean Huijsen is now looking to pick up his third award of this article! Dean Huijsen played in 32 games for AFC Bournemouth this season, scoring 3 goals and picking up 2 assists which isn’t bad for a defender! Huijsen also won 72.2% of his tackles which is very strong, and he won plenty of aerial duels too (68)! Dean Huijsen was the best defender in the league this season, I truly believe that, and so it automatically makes him one of the top contenders for this award!
Amad

I think Amad Diallo is more than deserving of being on this list! Amad played in 26 games for Manchester United this season, scoring 8 goals and creating another 6 assists! I would fully expect Amad to keep getting better, and in theory, he should be a major contender to win this award this time next year!

Manager of the Season Nominees:
Arne Slot

As far as first seasons go, I don’t think Arne Slot could’ve wished for anything better! To come into Liverpool after the Jurgen Klopp Era was always going to be so difficult, and yet Slot mastered it, guiding Liverpool to their second-ever Premier League Title in a victory that never looked in doubt! Very, very impressive from Mr. Slot!
Enzo Maresca

There were a lot of uncertainties around Enzo Maresca when he was appointed as the new Chelsea Manager, yes, he’d done well to win the Championship with Leicester, but even the fans of that club didn’t like him very much! However, Maresca came in and made an impact, proving to be Chelsea’s best Manager since Thomas Tuchel, and he deserves a lot of praise for guiding The Blues back to Champions League Football given the size of his squad!
Nuno Espirito Santo

What a year Nuno Espirito Santo had! After just about keeping Nottingham Forest in the Premier League in his first season at the club, having an actual Pre-Season proved to be instrumental to Nuno’s success as he guided Forest all the way to European Football! Yes, things curtailed a little towards the end of the year, but they should never have been in the conversation for Champions League Football in the first place, so the fact that Nuno Espirito Santo got them there is absolutely incredible!
Fabian Hurzeler

Brighton and Hove Albion were a club on the rise under Roberto De Zerbi, and yet his departure from the club meant Brighton brought in a very young Fabian Hurzeler! Hurzeler had a lot to do, and he did it well, guiding Brighton to their second-best season in the Top-Flight, finishing 8th with 61 points! I think had The Seagulls reached their full potential this year, Fabian Hurzeler would’ve won this award!
Andoni Iraola

AFC Bournemouth brought Andoni Iraola into the club for a reason, he’d gone well managing Rayo Vallecano in Spain, and there was a lot of hope and belief that Iraola could take them far! Ultimately, he started that push up the Table fully this year, guiding Bournemouth to their joint-best league finishing position whilst also smashing their record points tally! It was a fantastic year for The Cherries, and I don’t feel like Andoni Iraola is being praised enough for it!
David Moyes

When David Moyes came back to Everton, they were struggling, they were really struggling towards the bottom of the table, fearing that their first game in their brand-new Stadium would take place in the Championship! However, Moyes came in and did a great job, picking up 31 points in 19 games, and that was enough to guide The Toffees to a comfortable 13th place! If David Moyes can replicate that for a whole season next year, Everton will go very well!

Player of the Season Nominees:
Mohamed Salah

I feel like there’s only one winner of this award! Just sublime, absolutely sublime from Mo Salah!
Ryan Gravenberch

Ryan Gravenberch’s strong season means he’s up for another award! Ryan Gravenberch played in 37 games for Liverpool this season, earning 4 assists along the way! Gravenberch was one of the best midfielders when it came to passes completed, successful dribbles, and fouls won, and he was also pretty strong at winning duels! A well-deserved nominee!
Erling Haaland

Whilst this might come as a surprise, Erling Haaland’s year shouldn’t go unnoticed just because he’s Erling Haaland! Erling Haaland played in 31 games for Manchester City this season, scoring 22 goals whilst also getting another 3 assists! Haaland finished as the league’s third top scorer, 4th in the Goals + Assists combined chart, and 5th in Goals per 90 (0.72)! If this was anyone else, they’d be on this list, so I’m sticking Haaland here for a reason!
Alexander Isak

Another striker that had a stellar year was Alexander Isak! Alexander Isak played in 34 games for Newcastle United this season, scoring 23 goals and bagging a strong 6 assists! Isak finished second in both the Golden Boot race and the Goals + Assists combined chart, and he was 4th in Goals per 90 (0.75)! This is now the second-straight year that Alexander Isak has made it onto the nominees for my Player of the Season, and I think that says an awful lot about him!
Dean Huijsen

Dean Huijsen is looking to win a record-breaking 4th Premier League Award! Dean Huijsen played in 32 games for AFC Bournemouth this season, scoring 3 goals and picking up 2 assists which isn’t bad for a defender! Huijsen also won 72.2% of his tackles which is very strong, and he won plenty of aerial duels too (68)! I’ve almost run out of words to praise Dean Huijsen, it’s a shame he won’t be in this article next season, but fair play to him!
Bryan Mbeumo

After being a contender for the “Most Underappreciated” player award 2 seasons ago, Bryan Mbeumo is fully appreciated nowadays! If this is to be Bryan Mbeumo’s last year with The Bees, he certainly went out on top!
