West Ham 3-2 Burnley

West Ham United made it back-to-back wins with a crucial victory over relegation rivals Burnley! After 35 minutes, Burnley had the lead as Zian Flemming scored with a really nice headed finish! However, just before halftime, West Ham were able to get themselves back on level terms as Callum Wilson scored from just a couple of yards out with his own headed finish! In the 77th minute, West Ham found themselves in front through Tomas Soucek, but I have to say, Martin Dubravka should be doing so much better here! Speaking of, in the 87th minute, West Ham had all 3 points secured as Kyle Waler-Peters slid the ball home after another goalkeeping error by Dubravka! Burnley were able to get one back deep in stoppage time through Josh Cullen (thanks to a mistake this time by Alphonse Areola), but the damage had already been done! Overall, this is a big win for West Ham United! The Hammers remain inside the Relegation Zone (in 18th), and they head to Bournemouth next time out! As for Burnley, they cost themselves here! The Clarets stay 17th in the table, and they will host Chelsea following the International Break!
Aston Villa 4-0 Bournemouth

Aston Villa’s amazing home run continued as they smashed AFC Bournemouth out of Villa Park! Djordje Petrovic made a decent save to keep Matty Cash’s early effort out, but Aston Villa weren’t to be denied for too much longer as Emi Buendia fired them in front in the 28th minute with a fantastic free-kick! In the 40th minute, Aston Villa's lead was doubled thanks to a thunderous strike by Amadou Onana, before Emi Martinez made a great save to tip Alex Scott’s deflected effort over the crossbar! Evanilson was then unlucky as he struck the post from close range, before Bournemouth were given a lifeline after the ball struck the arm of Morgan Rogers! However, Antoine Semenyo failed to beat Martinez from the spot, before Ross Barkley made it 3-0 to Villa just 10 minutes later! And then, in the 82nd minute, Donyell Malen was rather gifted a 4th to seal what was a memorable day for the hosts! Overall, Aston Villa were superb here! Villa now find themselves in 6th place, and their next game is away at Leeds! As for AFC Bournemouth, they got thrashed here! The Cherries drop to 9th in the table, and they host West Ham next time out!
Nottingham Forest 3-1 Leeds

Sean Dyche picked up his first Premier League victory as Nottingham Forest Manager as his side closed the gap to Leeds United! Lucas Perri made an incredible double save to stop Nottingham Forest from taking the lead early on, before Leeds found themselves in front in the 13th minute through Lukas Nmecha! This was a really nice finish! However, just 2 minutes later, Nottingham Forest were already back on level terms courtesy of Ibrahim Sangare! In the 68th minute, Forest had the lead as Morgan Gibbs-White headed home from close range, before Matz Sels then made an important save to deny Daniel James! And then, in the 90th minute, Nottingham Forest were awarded a penalty after Jack Harrison brought down Omari Hutchinson, and it was Elliot Anderson who stepped up and scored to seal all 3 points for the hosts! Overall, this is exactly the result that Nottingham Forest needed! Forest remain inside the Relegation Zone (in 19th), and their next game will be a tough test away at Liverpool! As for Leeds United, they simply weren’t good enough here! The Whites stay 16th in the table, and they host Aston Villa next time out!
Brentford 3-1 Newcastle

Nick Pope did well to keep the ball out of the back of his own net early on, before in the 27th minute, Newcastle had the lead through Harvey Barnes! Barnes did really well here! However, in the 56th minute, Brentford were able to get themselves back on level terms thanks to Kevin Schade’s headed goal, but I do think that Nick Pope should’ve dealt with this a lot better! Dango Ouattara was then booked for simulation, and this has to be one of the worst decisions I’ve seen in a while, as Ouattara was clearly tripped by Dan Burn! Anyway, Burn would then rightly get sent off after taking out Ouattara in the box again, and this time, a penalty was awarded, with Igor Thiago stepping up and scoring! And then, in the 95th minute, Brentford had all three points secured as Thiago scored again! Overall, Brentford are rolling right now! The Bees remain 12th in the league, and they head to Brighton next time out! As for Newcastle United, they’re really struggling away from home! The Magpies drop to 14th in the table, and their next game is a big one at home against Manchester City!
Sunderland 2-2 Arsenal

Late drama at the Stadium of Light saw Arsenal get pegged back by Sunderland AFC! After 36 minutes, it was Sunderland who found themselves in front as Daniel Ballard became the first person to score against Arsenal since September! William Saliba then had a great chance to equalise right before halftime, but he poorly blasted the ball well over the crossbar, before Arsenal were able to get themselves back on level terms in the 54th minute thanks to a really good finish by Bukayo Saka! What a terrible mistake by Enzo Le Fee! Martin Zubimendi then came close to giving Arsenal the lead just a few minutes later, before Zubimendi saw his effort come flying back off the crossbar! In the 74th minute, Arsenal would have their lead through Leandro Trossard, and I have to say, this was a great strike from the Belgian! But then, in the 94th minute, Sunderland weren’t to be denied as Brian Brobbey scored with a wonderful volleyed effort! Arsenal then had a chance to win it right at the death, but Riccardo Calafiori saw his effort saved by Robin Roefs before Ballard brilliantly blocked Mikel Merino’s rebound! In the end, what a well-earned point for Sunderland AFC! The Black Cats remain inside the Top 4, and they head to Fulham next time out! As for Arsenal, whilst they’ll be disappointed to have conceded so late on, a point here isn’t the end of the world! The Gunners remain top of the league, and their first game after the International Break is a huge one at home to North London Rivals Tottenham!
Tottenham 2-2 Manchester United

Despite both teams looking on to win this game at certain points, in the end, both Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United were forced to settle for a share of the points! After 32 minutes, Manchester United had the lead as Bryan Mbeumo headed home well against his former manager, Thomas Frank! In the second half, Cristian Romero had a good opportunity to score, but his effort was kept out well by Senne Lammens, before Lammens made another save, this time to deny Joao Palhinha! However, in the 84th minute, Tottenham would get themselves back on level terms through Mathys Tel, before Richarlison thought he’d won it for Spurs in additional time! However, that wasn’t meant to be as in the 96th minute, Matthijs de Ligt headed home to rescue a point for United! In the end, Tottenham Hotspur will be kicking themselves after letting this one go! Spurs rise to 5th in the league, and their next game is a pretty big one away at Arsenal! As for Manchester United, it’s now 5 games unbeaten for them! United now find themselves 7th in the table, and they’re set to host Everton next time out!
Manchester City 3-0 Liverpool

A brilliant Manchester City humbled reigning Champions Liverpool at the Etihad! After plenty of checks, Manchester City were awarded a penalty after Giorgi Mamardashvili was deemed to have fouled Jeremy Doku! However, Mamardashvili managed to make up for that by denying Erling Haaland from the penalty spot! Despite that, in the 29th minute, Manchester City would have the lead as Haaland got his goal! Liverpool then thought they’d gotten back on level terms thanks to a strong Virgil van Dijk header, but his goal was ruled out for a controversial offside against Andy Robertson! I think Liverpool are right to feel aggrieved here! However, they didn’t show up after this, and right before halftime, Man City’s lead was doubled thanks to Nico Gonzalez’s strike taking a deflection off van Dijk! In the second half, Cody Gakpo had a great chance to score, but he poorly blazed the ball over the bar, before City had a third as Jeremy Doku capped off a wonderful performance with a fabulous goal! Overall, this was Manchester City’s best performance in a game of this magnitude for a while! City remain second in the league, and they will return to action with an away trip to Newcastle! As for Liverpool, they got completely shown up here! The Reds drop to 8th in the table, and they host Nottingham Forest next time out!
Chelsea 3-0 Wolves

Alejandro Garnacho had a good chance to give Chelsea the lead early on, but he failed to guide his effort either side of Sam Johnstone, before Joao Pedro had a good opportunity which he poorly dragged wide! However, just 6 minutes into the second half, Chelsea did finally get themselves in front through Malo Gusto! The ball in from Garnacho is superb! In the 65th minute, it was 2-0 as Joao Pedro fired home, before Pedro Neto netted a third against his former side! Marshall Munetsi did at least get in behind once for Wolves, but he couldn’t fire his effort on target! Overall, this was exactly what Chelsea wanted, needed, and should’ve gotten from this game! The Blues now find themselves up in third, and they head to Burnley next time out! As for Wolverhampton Wanderers, I don’t think this result is particularly surprising for anyone involved with the club! Wolves remain bottom of the league, and they host Crystal Palace following a much-needed 2-week break!
Everton 2-0 Fulham

Thierno Barry had a decent chance to score early on, but he wasn’t able to keep his headed effort down, before Barry thought he’d gotten his first goal for Everton, only for it to be ruled out for offside! Everton then had another goal ruled out for offside, this time against James Tarkowski, before it finally was 1-0 right on halftime courtesy of Idrissa Gana Gueye! What a mess this was! In the second half, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall thought he’d added a second for the hosts, but wouldn’t you know it, his goal was also ruled out for offside! However, in the 81st minute, Everton would finally have their game-sealing goal through none other than Michael Keane! Overall, this was a pretty dominant victory for Everton! The Toffees rise to 13th place, and they go to Manchester United in two weeks’ time! As for Fulham, they were useless here! The Cottagers stay 15th in the table, and they host Sunderland next time out!
Crystal Palace 0-0 Brighton

Another meeting, another draw to be added to the collection in the rivalry between Crystal Palace and Brighton and Hove Albion! Jean-Philippe Mateta had a decent chance to fire Crystal Palace in front early on, but he failed to get his effort on target, before Diego Gomez saw his effort saved by Dean Henderson! Bart Verbruggen then made a good save to keep Ismaila Sarr’s strong effort out, before Yankuba Minteh had a decent opportunity, but he honestly made a bit of a mess of it! In the second half, Palace should’ve taken the lead, but they were far too hesitant in just letting fly, before Brighton were awarded a penalty after Georginio Rutter went down! However, VAR rightly overturned this decision, giving Rutter a yellow card for diving! Daichi Kamada then had another good chance to score, but he could only blast his effort into the side-netting, before Verbruggen made a really important save at the end of the game, this time to deny Yeremy Pino! In the end, it’s a frustrating scoreless draw as far as Crystal Palace are concerned! The Eagles drop to 10th in the league, and they will head to Wolves following the International Break! As for Brighton and Hove Albion, I actually think they’ll be quite satisfied with this result! The Seagulls now occupy 11th position, and they host Brentford next time out!
