Sunderland 0-5 Nottingham Forest

A ridiculous 5-star performance against Sunderland AFC moves Nottingham Forest a step closer to Premier League Survival! After 17 minutes, Nottingham Forest had the lead thanks to a Trai Hume own goal! In the 31st minute, Chris Wood made it 2-0 after a shambolic error by Robin Roefs, before Morgan Gibbs-White added a third just 3 minutes later! In the 37th minute, Igor Jesus continued Forest’s ridiculous night with a strong-volleyed finish, before Daniel Ballard thought he’d gotten one back for Sunderland, only for his goal to be ruled out for a foul on the goalkeeper! And then, in the 95th minute, Elliot Anderson capped off a 5-star performance with Forest’s 5th of the night! In the end, this was a horrific 90 minutes for Sunderland AFC! The Black Cats drop to 12th in the league, and they have to do better next time out away at Wolves! As for Nottingham Forest, what a special win! Forest remain 16th in the table, and they have a massive Europa League Semi-Final tie with Aston Villa coming up before they head to Chelsea for their next league game!
Liverpool 3-1 Crystal Palace

Whilst Liverpool were originally given a penalty after Brennan Johnson brought down Mohamed Salah, VAR rightly overturned the decision as Salah clearly dived! However, in the 35th minute, Liverpool would find themselves in front as Alexander Isak scored a much-needed goal! Maxence Lacroix then had a great chance to equalise for Crystal Palace, but his effort was saved well by Freddie Woodman, before Liverpool went down the other end and doubled their lead through Andy Robertson! Woodman was then needed to once again stop Lacroix from scoring right before halftime, before Crystal Palace would have a goal back in the 71st minute through Daniel Munoz! Whilst I totally understand why Liverpool would be annoyed about this, given that Woodman went down hurt, there’s no obligation for Munoz to kick the ball out here, so it’s fair enough that he didn’t! Jorgen Strand Larsen then had a great chance to equalise, but he could only strike the inside of the post (he was probably offside, anyway), before Florian Wirtz sealed all three points for the hosts in the 96th minute! Overall, it’s a win that further boosts Liverpool’s Champions League chances! The Reds rise to 4th in the league, and they head to Manchester United for a massive game next time out! As for Crystal Palace, their chances of making Europe through the league are probably over now! The Eagles stay 13th in the table, and they have a big week upcoming with away trips to Shakhtar Donetsk and Bournemouth!
West Ham 2-1 Everton

A dramatic end to this game saw West Ham United defeat Everton to remain outside of the Relegation Zone! After nothing really happened in the first half, West Ham would have the lead after just 6 second-half minutes through Tomas Soucek! Thierno Barry then had a great chance to equalise, but his effort was blocked on the line by Soucek (who subsequently headed the ball onto his own crossbar), before Everton would have their equalising goal in the 88th minute courtesy of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall! But then, in the 92nd minute, Callum Wilson was in the right place at the right time to nick all 3 points for the hosts! Overall, this is a massive win for West Ham United! The Hammers remain 17th in the table, and they’ll head to Brentford next time out! As for Everton, they’ve conceded late again! The Toffees drop to 11th position, and their next game is a big one at home to Manchester City next Monday Night!
Manchester United 2-1 Brentford

Despite an amazing solo run by Kobbie Mainoo, Amad Diallo wasn’t able to finish off the move, but it wouldn’t take Manchester United long to take the lead as Casemiro headed home inside 11 minutes! Senne Lammens then pulled off a big save to stop Michael Kayode from scoring a quick equaliser, before Igor Thiago made a mess of a great opportunity! Lammens was then forced into making another good save, this time to stop an own goal from being scored, before Benjamin Sesko doubled Man United’s lead just before halftime! You have to take your chances! In the second half, Dango Ouattara came close, heading the ball onto the post, before Brentford would finally get a goal back through Mathias Jensen! However, it was too late in the day (the 87th minute, to be precise)! Overall, this is a win that all but secures Manchester United’s place in next season's UEFA Champions League! United remain third in the league, and they’re getting ready for a massive Super Sunday clash with Liverpool next! As for Brentford, they missed so many chances in this game! The Bees stay 9th in the table, and they’ll host West Ham next time out!
Arsenal 1-0 Newcastle

1 goal was all that was needed to take Arsenal back to the top of the Premier League! Newcastle had a great chance to take the lead inside 60 seconds, but William Osula completely made a mess of it, before Arsenal would have the lead inside 9 minutes thanks to a brilliant strike by Eberechi Eze! David Raya then needed to adjust quickly to keep Sandro Tonali’s rocket of an effort out, before Nick Pope was slightly fortunate not to be sent off for pulling back Viktor Gyokeres! Newcastle then had a great chance to equalise in the final 10 minutes of the game, but Yoane Wissa poorly blasted his effort over the bar! Overall, this was a much-needed win for Arsenal, even if the performance wasn’t very good! The Gunners go back to being top of the league, and they have a massive week upcoming with games against Atletico Madrid (Away) and Fulham (Home)! As for Newcastle United, they are absolutely useless! The Magpies stay 14th in the table, and they’ll host Brighton next time out!
Wolves 0-1 Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur managed to edge out Wolverhampton Wanderers for their first Premier League victory of 2026, although it still wasn’t enough for them to move out of the bottom 3! After literally nothing happened in the first half, Xavi Simons should’ve given Tottenham the lead early in the second half, but he poorly blasted his effort over the crossbar! Jose Sa then pulled off a really strong save to stop Rodrigo Bentancur from making it 1-0, before Adam Armstrong failed to keep his headed effort down! And then, in the 82nd minute, Tottenham had their crucial winning goal courtesy of Joao Palhinha! In the end, it’s another defeat for Wolverhampton Wanderers! Wolves stay bottom of the league, and they’ll host Sunderland next time out! As for Tottenham Hotspur, boy did they need this! Spurs remain inside the Relegation Zone (in 18th), however, and their next game is a difficult one away at Aston Villa!
Fulham 1-0 Aston Villa

Morgan Rogers had a great chance to give Aston Villa the lead, coming within inches of finding the bottom corner, before Ollie Watkins did the same! In the 43rd minute, it was Fulham who found themselves in front as Ryan Sessegnon was there to finish off the rebound! In the second half, Fulham should’ve had a second goal, but Harry Wilson stupidly decided against passing the ball to Raul Jimenez, before Watkins blasted another good opportunity off target! Timothy Castagne then thought he’d given Fulham a 2-goal cushion, only for his goal to be ruled out due to a foul on the goalkeeper, before Tammy Abraham became the next Villa player to waste a golden opportunity! Overall, this win keeps Fulham in the hunt for Europe! The Cottagers rise to 10th place, and they’ll head to Arsenal next time out! As for Aston Villa, I don’t understand how they managed to lose this game! Villa drop to 5th in the league, and they’ll face Nottingham Forest in the Europa League on Thursday before their next league game at home against Tottenham!
