Arsenal 1-0 Burnley

With other results going their way, a tight 1-0 win over Burnley proved enough for Arsenal to finally recapture the Premier League Title! Leandro Trossard was unlucky to hit the post early on, whilst Arsenal were then asking for a penalty after a coming together between Bukayo Saka and Lucas Pires! A penalty wasn’t given, and I believe that that is the correct decision! Anyway, in the 37th minute, Arsenal would find themselves in front as Kai Havertz headed home after Saka’s excellent corner kick! In the second half, Max Weiss got an important fingertip on the ball to push Eberechi Eze’s effort onto the crossbar, before Kai Havertz somehow managed to get away with just a yellow card after a terrible challenge on Lesley Ugochukwu! How on earth was this not a red card?! Overall, Arsenal have finally gotten over the line as Premier League Champions! The Gunners win the league, and they’ll lift the PL trophy this Sunday at Crystal Palace! As for Burnley, they have no quality whatsoever! The Clarets remain inside the Relegation Zone (in 19th), and they’ll face Wolves in a “Last Place Final” next time out!
Bournemouth 1-1 Manchester City

AFC Bournemouth kept their unbeaten run alive, subsequently ending Manchester City’s Title hopes in the process! Jeremy Doku had a decent chance early on, but he was unable to get enough power on his effort before Evanilson somehow managed to miss from just a couple of yards out! In the 39th minute, it was Bournemouth who found themselves in front as Junior Kroupi netted a record-breaking goal! At the start of the second half, Nico O’Reilly had a great chance to score, but his effort was kept out by Djordje Petrovic, before Rayan struck the post! David Brooks then had a pair of great chances to kill the game off, hitting the post with his final attempt, before Manchester City had their equalising goal in the 95th minute through Erling Haaland! However, it was far too late for City to recover a victory! In the end, that late goal is actually a bit of a killer for AFC Bournemouth! The Cherries remain 6th in the table, and they’ll head to Nottingham Forest next time out! As for Manchester City, they simply dropped too many points earlier in the season to win the league this year! City stay second in the league, and they take on Aston Villa this weekend in what could potentially be Pep Guardiola’s final-ever game in charge of the club!
Chelsea 2-1 Tottenham

Chelsea remain in the fight for European Football as Tottenham Hotspur’s survival battle goes down to the final day! Mathys Tel had a really good opportunity to put Tottenham in front early on, but he could only head the ball onto the post before Chelsea found themselves in front inside 18 minutes through Enzo Fernandez! I’m not at all impressed with Antonín Kinsky’s positioning here! Fernandez then came close to scoring again, this time smashing the crossbar, before Cole Palmer dragged his effort just wide of the target! In the 67th minute, Chelsea’s lead was doubled courtesy of Andrey Santos, before Tottenham at least had one goal back just 7 minutes later through Richarlison! Jorrel Hato then pulled off a massive block to deny James Maddison a crucial equalising goal, before Spurs’ claim for a penalty was rejected! The reason for this was that Marc Cucurella had been deemed to have committed a foul before the ball had been in play, but that in itself is a stupid rule! Overall, this puts Chelsea back in position to qualify for Europe! The Blues rise to 8th place, and they’ll head to Sunderland next time out! As for Tottenham Hotspur, their atmosphere in their stadium this weekend is going to be a mess! Spurs stay 17th in the table, and they host Everton on the final day, needing just a point to guarantee survival!
Newcastle 3-1 West Ham

A comfortable Newcastle United victory leaves West Ham United on the absolute brink of Relegation! After just 15 minutes, Newcastle found themselves in front as Nick Woltemade finally scored after a shocking bit of play by West Ham! This is horrendous! Just 4 minutes later, Newcastle had a second through William Osula, and this is both brilliant and horrendous depending on what side you’re on! Nick Pope then pulled off a good save to stop Valentin Castellanos from getting one back for West Ham, before Osula made it 3-0 in the 65th minute after more defensive mistakes by the visitors! In the 69th minute, West Ham were at least able to get one back through Taty Castellanos, and honestly, this is one of the goals of the season! West Ham then had a couple of more chances to get back into the game, but they weren’t able to take them, with Castellanos striking the woodwork! Overall, this win keeps Newcastle United within a shout of finishing in the Top 10! The Magpies rise to 11th in the table, and they’ll head to Fulham next time out! As for West Ham United, they’re in desperation mode now! The Hammers remain inside the Relegation Zone (in 18th), and it’s going to be all or nothing for them when they host Leeds on the final day of the season!
Aston Villa 4-2 Liverpool

Aston Villa earned themselves a big win over Liverpool to confirm their place in next season’s UEFA Champions League! After 42 minutes, Aston Villa found themselves in front thanks to a strong finish by Morgan Rogers! It only took Liverpool 7 minutes into the second half to equalise through Virgil van Dijk, before Rio Ngumoha struck the post! At the other end, Villa were back in front in the 57th minute as Ollie Watkins took advantage of a Dominik Szoboszlai slip, before Emi Buendia struck the woodwork! In the 73rd minute, Watkins was there to tap home on the rebound to add a third on the night, before John McGinn made it 4-1 with a brilliant finish! Liverpool were then able to at least get one back as van Dijk scored again, but it was nothing more than a consolation! Overall, this will ease some nerves in the Aston Villa camp! Villa rise to 4th in the league, and they’re set to take on Freiburg in the Europa League Final tonight before they head to Manchester City on the final day! As for Liverpool, they’ve lost 12 games this season! The Reds drop to 5th place, and they’ll host Brentford next time out!
Everton 1-3 Sunderland

Sunderland AFC kept their incredible European dreams alive by ending Everton’s! Tim Iroegbunam was perhaps slightly fortunate to only receive a yellow card for a rather risky challenge on Reinildo, before Everton would find themselves in front in the 43rd minute as Merlin Rohl scored following a helpful deflection off Granit Xhaka! In the 59th minute, Sunderland were back on level terms through a great bit of play by Brian Brobbey, before Enzo Le Fee gifted Sunderland the lead with less than 10 minutes to go. Jordan Pickford probably should’ve kept this out! Jack O’Brien then had a great chance to equalise for Everton, but he couldn’t guide his headed effort past Robin Roefs, before Wilson Isidor took advantage of more poor defending to seal all 3 points for the visitors! In the end, Everton’s end-of-season form has been shocking! The Toffees drop to 12th in the table, and they head to Tottenham next time out! As for Sunderland AFC, what a win this is for them! The Black Cats rise to 10th in the league, and their final game of the season is a massive one at home against Chelsea!
Leeds 1-0 Brighton

A late, late winner for Leeds United dealt Brighton and Hove Albion a massive blow in their aspirations for qualifying for next season’s UEFA Champions League! Karl Darlow pulled off a couple of decent saves to keep Brighton out early on, before Jan Paul van Hecke managed to miss from just a couple of yards out on the rebound! In the second half, Ethan Ampadu pulled off a great goal-saving block to deny Danny Welbeck, before Diego Gomez poorly blasted a great opportunity high and wide! And then, in the 96th minute, we had a winner as Dominic Calvert-Lewin took advantage of a poor back pass by van Hecke to earn another home victory for Leeds! Overall, what a great season Leeds United have had! The Whites remain 14th in the table, and they have to head to West Ham on the final day of the season! As for Brighton and Hove Albion, this is definitely 3 points dropped! The Seagulls stay 7th in the league, and they’ll host Manchester United in a crucial game next time out!
Brentford 2-2 Crystal Palace

Despite scoring late, it will still feel like 2 points dropped as Crystal Palace put a dent into Brentford’s European aspirations! After less than 2 minutes, Crystal Palace were already awarded a penalty after Caoimhín Kelleher was deemed to have brought down Ismaila Sarr! Sarr then stepped up and scored from 12 yards out to give Crystal Palace the lead inside 6 minutes! Ismaila Sarr then came close again as he struck the woodwork, before Jorgen Strand Larsen hit the post himself! In the 40th minute, Brentford were back on level terms as Dango Ouattara scored a rather fortunate headed goal! 7 minutes into the second half, Palace were back in front as Adam Wharton scored his first goal for the club after a poor bit of goalkeeping by Kelleher! However, in the 88th minute, Brentford would have a late equaliser goal as Ouattara headed home again for the second time! And then, in the 95th minute, the hosts had a chance to win it, but Igor Thiago couldn’t keep his effort down! In the end, this isn’t a good result for Brentford! The Bees drop to 9th in the league, and they’ll head to Liverpool for a massive game next time out! As for Crystal Palace, they should’ve won this game! The Eagles remain 15th in the table, and their final league game of the season is at home against Arsenal!
Manchester United 3-2 Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest’s unbeaten league run finally came to an end as Manchester United secured another victory under Michael Carrick! After just 5 minutes, Manchester United already found themselves in front courtesy of a strong finish by Luke Shaw! Morgan Gibbs-White then had a good chance to equalise, but Senne Lammens saved well, before Bryan Mbeumo struck the post down at the other end! In the 53rd minute, Nottingham Forest were back on level terms through Morato, although that only lasted for 2 minutes as Matheus Cunha found the back of the net following a rather controversial Mbeumo handball! How on earth was this goal allowed to stand? It’s the most obvious handball ever! Anyway, in the 76th minute, Bryan Mbeumo would get his goal as Bruno Fernandes got his record-equalling assist, before Morgan Gibbs-White was able to get one back for Forest just moments later! Overall, this was a positive final home game for Manchester United! United confirm a third-place finish, and they’ll head to Brighton on the final day! As for Nottingham Forest, they have every right to feel aggrieved here! Forest remain 16th in the table, and they’ll host Bournemouth next time out!
Wolves 1-1 Fulham

Fulham’s European hopes were officially killed off by a stubborn Wolverhampton Wanderers! Alex Iwobi had a good chance to give Fulham the lead early on, but he couldn’t guide his effort past Jose Sa, before Wolves found themselves in front in the 25th minute through Mateus Mane! Sander Berge then had a golden chance to make it 1-1, but he somehow managed to head the ball into the ground and over the bar from close range, before Fulham were awarded a penalty after Mane fouled Timothy Castagne! Antonee Robinson then stepped up and scored to send the teams into the break on level terms! In the second half, Yerson Mosquera had a great chance to put Wolves back in front, but he somehow managed to guide his headed effort wide of the target, before Adam Armstrong struck the post! In the end, Wolverhampton Wanderers definitely had chances to win this game! Wolves remain bottom of the league, and they’ll end their Premier League stint with an away trip to fellow Relegated Burnley! As for Fulham, their poor end-of-season form has cost them European Football! The Cottagers drop to 13th in the table, and they’ll host Newcastle next time out!
