Crystal Palace 1-2 Arsenal

Arsenal lifted the Premier League Trophy in style with a final-day victory over Crystal Palace! Gabriel Jesus had a great chance to give Arsenal the lead early on, but he could only strike the post before Noni Madueke guided his rebounded effort straight at Dean Henderson! Jesus then had another great chance to score, but he couldn’t beat Henderson, before Kepa made a great save to deny Daniel Munoz! In the 42nd minute, Arsenal would finally find themselves in front through Gabriel Jesus, but I do feel like the goalkeeper should’ve done better! Then, just 3 minutes into the second half, Arsenal’s lead was doubled thanks to a great volleyed finish by Noni Madueke! Crystal Palace were at least able to get one back in the 89th minute through Jean-Philippe Mateta (after some shocking positioning by Kepa), before Yeremy Pino had a stoppage-time equaliser ruled out for offside! In the end, I don’t think Crystal Palace will be bothered by this result in the slightest! The Eagles end the league season 15th in the table, but they still have one game to go when they face Rayo Vallecano in the UEFA Conference League Final next time out! As for Arsenal, this was a positive way to end their Title-winning campaign! The Gunners end up winning the league by 7 points, and all eyes now turn to Budapest when they take on PSG in the 2026 UEFA Champions League Final!

Tottenham 1-0 Everton

A goal and a clean sheet against Everton was enough for Tottenham Hotspur to secure their Premier League survival! Joao Palhinha had a decent chance to give Tottenham the lead inside 15 minutes, but he poorly blazed his effort well off target, before Palhinha would make up for it with a crucial 43rd-minute goal to give Tottenham the lead heading into halftime! In the second half, Everton went forward a little bit more, but they never created a clear-cut chance, with their best moment being saved by Antonin Kinsky! Overall, Tottenham Hotspur have managed to survive, just! Spurs finish 17th in the table, and let’s not let the post-match celebrations fool us; this has been a horrendous season! As for Everton, they must love North London! The Toffees end the season 13th overall, and to end the season with no win in 7 is bitterly disappointing!

West Ham 3-0 Leeds

Whilst West Ham United may well have saved their best performance of the season for Leeds on the final day, it proved to be too little too late as their time in the Premier League has officially come to an end! Leeds had a decent chance to score early on, but Lukas Nmecha was unable to get a clean connection on the ball before Mads Hermansen pulled off a crucial save to deny Dominic Calvert-Lewin! In the 67th minute, West Ham found themselves in front through Valentin Castellanos, before Jarrod Bowen added a second in the 79th minute! And then, despite denying him once, Karl Darlow wasn’t able to stop Callum Wilson from making it 3-0 in stoppage time! In the end, despite a strong win, it’s Relegation for West Ham United! The Hammers only have themselves to blame, however, and they’ll be looking for a return to the top-flight straight away! As for Leeds United, this wasn’t a good way to end the season! However, finishing 14th overall is a very impressive achievement by Daniel Farke’s men!

Manchester City 1-2 Aston Villa

Aston Villa ended a perfect week in style as Pep Guardiola said farewell to Manchester City! After 23 minutes, Manchester City found themselves in front as Antoine Semenyo netted his 17th Premier League goal of the season! Marco Bizot then pulled off a pretty great save to stop Tijjani Reijnders from making it 2-0, before Aston Villa were back on level terms just 2 minutes into the second half through Ollie Watkins! Leon Bailey then had a great chance to give Aston Villa the lead, but he poorly missed the target completely, before Villa found themselves in front in the 61st minute as Watkins scored again! Leon Bailey then had another good chance to score, this time smashing the post, before Man City thought they’d equalised late on through Phil Foden, only for him to be offside! VAR on form as always! In the end, this isn’t a very good result for Manchester City, but they didn’t seem to care! City finish second in Pep Guardiola’s final season, and the question now is where do they go from here? As for Aston Villa, what a brilliant end to the season for them! Villa finish 4th in the table with a Europa League trophy to boot – fair play!

Sunderland 2-1 Chelsea

A fabulous win over Chelsea capped a fabulous season for AFC Sunderland as they managed to earn their ticket to Europe! After Robert Sanchez made a couple of saves early on, Sunderland would find themselves in front in the 25th minute courtesy of a wonderful finish by Trai Hume! This is a fantastic goal! At the start of the second half, Sanchez made a massive save to stop Brian Brobbey from making it 2-0, before Sunderland’s lead was doubled in the 50th minute thanks to a Malo Gusto own goal! In the 56th minute, Chelsea were at least able to get one goal back through Cole Palmer, but their momentum was quickly halted as Wesley Fofana was shown a second yellow card just 6 minutes later! Overall, a win on the final day has Sunderland AFC heading to the Europa League! The Black Cats finish 7th in the league, and that is truly remarkable! As for Chelsea, what a terrible season it’s been for them! The Blues finish 10th in the table, and they’ll need to do a lot better under Xabi Alonso next season!

Liverpool 1-1 Brentford

Mohamed Salah bid farewell to Anfield as Liverpool ended the season with a final-day draw against Brentford! Mo Salah came close early on, striking the post from a free kick, before Dominik Szoboszlai dragged his opportunity just wide of the target! Rio Ngumoha then came within a whisker of gifting Liverpool the lead heading into halftime, before Alisson made a massive save to deny Kevin Schade at the other end! In the 58th minute, Liverpool would finally have the lead through Curtis Jones, but it wouldn’t last long as Kevin Schade equalised just 6 minutes later! And then, in the 100th minute, Dango Ouattara had a golden chance to send Brentford to Europe, but he just wasn’t able to guide his headed effort on target! In the end, Liverpool will just be grateful that this season is over! The Reds end up 5th in the league, and getting just 60 points this season is an underachievement and a half! As for Brentford, Europe was there for them! Still, The Bees do finish 9th overall, and given their pre-season expectations, Keith Andrews’ side has had a pretty great season!

Nottingham Forest 1-1 Bournemouth

Whilst Champions League Football wouldn’t quite come to them, Andoni Iraola bid farewell to AFC Bournemouth with an 18-game unbeaten streak following a draw at Nottingham Forest! Chris Wood had a great chance to give Nottingham Forest the lead following a brilliant ball in by Elliot Anderson, but he could only strike the post, before Forest would find themselves in front in the 34th minute through Morgan Gibbs-White! In the 54th minute, however, Bournemouth would get themselves back on level terms courtesy of Marcus Tarvenier! Matz Sels then pulled off a fine save to keep Junior Kroupi’s effort out, before Adam Smith pulled off a great block to deny Gibbs-White a second goal! In the end, it’s a point for Nottingham Forest on the final day! Forest end up 16th in the table, and whilst it’s been a pretty poor season, optimism should be high for the future! As for AFC Bournemouth, what a brilliant end to Andoni Iraola’s time in charge! The Cherries finish in a record-high 6th place, earning their first-ever European place, and honestly, what an incredible job that Iraola has done with this football club; he will be sorely missed!

Brighton 0-3 Manchester United

Bruno Fernandes made history for Manchester United as Brighton and Hove Albion barely held on to European Qualification! After 33 minutes, Manchester United found themselves in front as Patrick Dorgu headed home after a brilliant ball in from Bruno Fernandes! I have to say, however, that this was honestly an own goal by Bart Verbruggen! Anyway, Bryan Mbeumo would manage to double Man United’s lead heading into halftime (this was a great team goal), before Bruno Fernandes fired in a third just 3 minutes into the second half! Dorgu then had another chance to score, but this time his effort was kept out by Verbruggen, before the Brighton Goalkeeper was again needed to deny Amad! In the end, Brighton and Hove Albion got stuffed here! The Seagulls drop to 8th in the table, but luckily for them, that is enough for them to enter next season’s UEFA Conference League! As for Manchester United, what a great turnaround they’ve had under Michael Carrick! United finish third overall, and they’re going to be well up for competing next season!

Fulham 2-0 Newcastle

Marco Silva potentially ended his time as Fulham boss with a comfortable victory over a poor Newcastle United! After Kevin smashed the crossbar, Issa Diop was there to head the ball home on the rebound to give Fulham the lead inside 20 minutes! Timothy Castagne then pulled off a great defensive clearance to stop Lewis Hall from equalising for Newcastle shortly after, before Bernd Leno was there to keep Joe Willock’s effort out! In the second half, Tom Cairney came close with a couple of chances, before he would get his goal in spectacular fashion to make it 2-0 after 80! Overall, this was a good final day win for Fulham! The Cottagers finish 11th overall, and given that they’ve finished just 2 points off 7th, it’s another year of what could’ve (and probably should’ve) been for them! As for Newcastle United, what a terrible season for them! The Magpies end up 12th in the table, and to say they’ve been poor would be an understatement!

Burnley 1-1 Wolves

And finally, Burnley and Wolverhampton Wanderers ended their time in the Premier League with a draw in the “Wooden Spoon” match! Early on in the game, Wolves were awarded a penalty after a handball against Florentino, and it was Adam Armstrong who then stepped up and scored to fire Wolves in front inside 5 minutes! Mateus Mane was then super unlucky to only hit the post, before Max Weiss made a crucial save to deny Santiago Bueno! Bueno has to score here! Then, just 2 minutes into the second half, Burnley were back on level terms as Zian Flemming finished well! Florentino’s attempted cross then came back out off the post, before Jose Sa made a strong save to deny Lucas Pires! In the end, at least Burnley didn’t finish bottom! The Clarets are obviously Relegated, however, meaning it’s once again back to the Championship for them! As for Wolverhampton Wanderers, I’m almost certain that they’ve been bottom of the league this entire season! Wolves finish last of the 2025/26 Premier League field, and they’ll be glad to see the back of a dismal campaign!
