Ipswich VS Liverpool

Ipswich host Liverpool on this weekend’s edition of Friday Night Football! Ipswich got thumped 5-2 by Manchester United last weekend, and they currently find themselves in 12th place! When it comes to Liverpool, they could only draw 2-2 at home to Nottingham Forest last time out, and they currently sit 13th in the table! In their 2 most recent meetings, Liverpool won both games by an aggregate score of 6-1! For Ipswich Town, a point here would definitely be a positive result! The Tractor Boys are ranked 5th in GPG (2.0), and they’re currently on a 20-game unbeaten home run in all competitions (14W,6D)! As for Liverpool, they need to win this game! The Reds are also ranked 5th in GPG (2.0), but they’re currently on a 6-game winless league run (4D,2L)!
My Prediction: 1-2
Newcastle VS Bournemouth

Newcastle picked up a strong 2-0 win away at Tottenham on last weekend’s Saturday Night Football, and they currently find themselves 6th in the league! When it comes to Bournemouth, they conceded late yet again in a 1-all draw with Everton last time out, and they currently sit 14th in the table! In their previous 18 meetings, both sides have won 5 games each! Interestingly, Newcastle haven’t beaten Bournemouth at home in the Premier League since 2019! For Newcastle United, they’ve started the season well! The Magpies are ranked 5th in GPG (2.0), and 6th in GCPG (1.0)! As for AFC Bournemouth, they need to stop conceding goals late! The Cherries are ranked 12th in GPG (1.0), and they’re currently on a 4-game winless league run (3D,1L)!
My Prediction: 2-2
Brentford VS Sunderland

Brentford picked up a point away at Leeds last Sunday, and they currently find themselves 5th in the league! When it comes to Sunderland, they earned their first victory of the season last time out against Fulham, and they currently sit 11th in the table! In their previous 4 meetings, Brentford have two wins in comparison to Sunderland’s one! For Brentford, they’ll expect themselves to win this game! The Bees are ranked 5th in GPG (2.0), and they’re currently on a 5-game unbeaten run in all competitions (2W,3D)! As for Sunderland AFC, they’d probably take a point from this game! The Black Cats are ranked 12th in GPG (1.0), but 6th in GCPG (1.0)!
My Prediction: 2-1
Brighton VS Leeds

Brighton lost 4-3 in a crazy game at Chelsea last weekend, and they currently sit 9th in the table! When it comes to Leeds, they managed to draw 1-1 with Brentford last time out, and they currently find themselves in 8th! In their previous 20 meetings, Brighton have won 60% of the time, whilst Leeds have only won 15% of the time! For Brighton and Hove Albion, these are the types of games that they need to be winning! The Seagulls are ranked 1st in GPG (3.5), and they’ve actually managed to win each of their last 4 home games (in all competitions) by an aggregate score of 14-0! As for Leeds United, they’re aiming to keep their unbeaten start to the season going! The Whites are ranked 12th in GPG (1.0), but they currently have the joint-third-best defensive record in the league (0.5 GCPG)!
My Prediction: 1-1
Fulham VS Crystal Palace

Fulham host Crystal Palace in a battle between two “pointless” teams! Fulham suffered a disappointing 1-0 loss away at Sunderland last time out, and they currently sit 16th in the table! When it comes to Crystal Palace, they got thumped 4-1 by Manchester City last Friday Night, and they currently find themselves inside the Relegation Zone (in 18th)! In their previous 15 meetings, Fulham have only won 3 times, whilst Palace have won double that! Fun fact: Crystal Palace have never lost at Craven Cottage in the Premier League! For Fulham, Alvaro Arbeloa cannot afford to go 0-3! The Cottagers are ranked 12th in GPG (1.0), and they’re winless in their last 4 games against Palace (1D,3L)! As for Crystal Palace, they need to sort things out, and fast! The Eagles are ranked 17th in GPG (0.5), and they currently have the joint-worst defensive record in the league (3.0 GCPG)!
My Prediction: 1-0
Manchester City VS Coventry

Manchester City thumped Crystal Palace 4-1 on Gameweek 2’s Friday Night Football, and they currently find themselves top of the league! When it comes to Coventry, they suffered a poor 1-0 home loss against Hull last time out, and they currently sit 17th in the table! Amazingly, the last meeting between these two sides came all the way back in 2002, with Man City winning 4-2! For Manchester City, they expect themselves to go 3-0 here! City are ranked 3rd in GPG (3.0), and it’s worth noting that Erling Haaland has 19 goals in 20 games against newly promoted sides! As for Coventry City, having your first two away games of the season be at Arsenal and City is pretty cruel! The Sky Blues are still yet to score a goal in the league this season, whilst they’re ranked 11th in GCPG (2.0)!
My Prediction: 4-1
Nottingham Forest VS Tottenham

Nottingham Forest picked up their first point of the season last weekend at Liverpool, and they currently sit 15th in the table! When it comes to Tottenham, they lost 2-0 at home to Newcastle last time out, and they currently find themselves bottom of the league! In their previous 10 meetings, both sides have won 5 games each! For Nottingham Forest, they can win this game! Forest are ranked 12th in GPG (1.0), and they’ve actually done the double over Spurs in each of the last 2 seasons! As for Tottenham Hotspur, they have to win this game! Spurs are yet to score in the league this season, whilst they’re ranked 16th in GCPG (2.5)!
My Prediction: 2-2
Hull VS Aston Villa

High-flying Hull take on struggling Aston Villa in this weekend’s Saturday Night Football! Hull picked up an important 1-0 away win at Coventry last time out, and they currently find themselves third in the league! When it comes to Aston Villa, they lost 1-0 at home to Arsenal Monday Night, and they currently find themselves inside the Relegation Zone (in 19th)! In their previous 8 meetings, Hull have only won once (2015), whilst Villa have won 3 times! For Hull City, this is an amazing opportunity for them to continue their perfect start to the season! The Tigers are ranked 10th in GPG (1.5), and they’re yet to concede a goal in the league this season! As for Aston Villa, they have to fix their form! Villa are yet to score a goal in the league this season, whilst they’re ranked 16th in GPG (2.5)!
My Prediction: 0-1
Everton VS Manchester United

Everton scored late to pick up a point at Bournemouth last Saturday, and they currently find themselves 7th in the league! When it comes to Manchester United, they put 5 past Ipswich (in a 5-2 victory) last time out, and they currently sit 10th in the table! In their previous 35 meetings, Everton have only won 7 games in comparison to 19 wins for Man United! For Everton, it’s all about keeping their unbeaten start to the season going! The Toffees are ranked 10th in GPG (1.5), but 3rd in GCPG (0.5)! As for Manchester United, they need to sort their defence out! United are ranked 4th in GPG (2.5), but 11th in GCPG (2.0)!
My Prediction: 2-2
Arsenal VS Chelsea

The biggest game of the season so far sees Arsenal welcome Chelsea for a London Derby at the Emirates! Arsenal edged out a 1-0 win over Aston Villa Monday Night, and they currently find themselves second in the league! When it comes to Chelsea, they held on to beat Brighton 4-3 last time out, and they currently sit 4th in the table! In their previous 42 meetings, Arsenal have won 18 games compared to 13 wins for Chelsea! For Arsenal, it’s probably important for them to keep their perfect start to the season going! The Gunners are ranked 5th in GPG (2.0), and they’ve started their season by winning all 3 games by an aggregate score of 7-0 (including the Community Shield)! As for Chelsea, their plan is simple: outscore their opponents! The Blues are ranked 1st in GPG (3.5), but 16th in GCPG (2.5)!
