Formula E was back on Stateside as the series returned to the sunshine state of Miami, Florida!

Winner: Pascal Wehrlein

As always with these articles, we have to start with the Race Winner, Pascal Wehrlein! Pascal was running a decent Race, he was in the upper areas of the points, and a team strategy play by TAG Heuer Porsche got him into P2 whilst also helping Wehrlein manage his lack of energy by running behind his teammate. However, when the Red Flag was brought out, it meant that everyone was going to be flat out once the Race got back underway, and the added boost of an Attack Mode meant Wehrlein was able to clear his teammate and take the lead of the E-Prix. Now, Pascal Wehrlein wouldn’t ultimately cross the line first, but post-Race penalties handed Pascal his first win of the year as the reigning World Champion rises to third in the Standings!
Loser: Taylor Barnard

There’s no doubt that Taylor Barnard has been one of the best storylines about Formula E in Season 11 so far, the Rookie has come in and delivered terrific performance after terrific performance to achieve 3 Podiums in the first 4 Rounds! However, the same could not be said about this weekend as Taylor struggled for pace that was needed to be towards the front of the field, and worst of all, when the Red Flag came out, Barnard still had 6 minutes left of Attack Mode with just 4 laps remaining, meaning he was never going to get the fully allotted time finished! Because of this, Taylor Barnard actually finished last of the remaining runners, and this is a weekend the youngster will need to get over quickly!
Winners: TAG Heuer Porsche
TAG Heuer Porsche executed the Miami E-Prix to almost perfection! Antonio Felix da Costa was rapid, he was leading out front for a while, but the team’s decision to get Pascal Wehrlein to slot behind da Costa and save energy was a terrific play call! Now, the timing of the Safety Car (and then Red Flag) ultimately cost Antonio dear (and we’ll get to that later on), but they still didn’t lose the win as a team as Pascal was there to take advantage! Also, Porsche still came away with a double Podium, and they’ve taken the lead of the Teams’ Championship as a result!
Losers: Jaguar TCS Racing
Jaguar TCS Racing are completely on the back foot right now, they’re really struggling to pick up results, and Miami was yet another example of that! Not only was the car not the best in Qualifying, but the team couldn’t recover in the Race at all, with Mitch Evans getting involved in the incident that brought out the Red Flag whilst Nick Cassidy picked up a 5-second time penalty that dropped him well out of contention! Jaguar entered this year as the reigning Teams’ Champions, and yet they’re currently 8th in the Standings this year, like that’s shocking! There is still plenty of time left for Mitch Evans and Nick Cassidy to turn things around, but right now, Jaguar are going backwards!
Winner and Loser: Antonio Felix da Costa

Right, let’s start with the positives! Antonio Felix da Costa’s pace from the start of the weekend to the end was superb, he was the fastest man on the circuit, and he deserved to win the Race. Unfortunately, the timing of the Red Flag cost him dear, with da Costa dropping back to ultimately get promoted back onto the Podium in P3! Now, this was a disappointing result for Antonio because he deserved the win, but the big positive is that he did close the gap to the Championship Leader Oliver Rowland, and he’s in a great position to fight for the Championship from here!
Winner and Loser: Norman Nato

What a mixed weekend of emotions for Norman Nato! In Qualifying, Norman stared to take Pole Position, and more importantly, his first points of the season! In the Race, Nato technically crossed the line first, but we all knew it wasn’t going to count as a Race Win, with a 5-second penalty demoting him down to P6! You could tell that Norman was upset, and he’s totally valid to feel that way. However, this was a still a step in the right direction for Norman Nato, he finally scored some points, and he outperformed his Nissan teammate which is a lot easier said than done!
Winners: Lucas di Grassi and Lola Yamaha ABT

It’s rare that I do a driver and a team together in these articles, but I feel like this is a pretty fitting one! Since Lola Yamaha joined ABB FIA Formula E, teaming up with ABT, it’s been a difficult ride for them, they’ve struggled for pace, and ultimately been running right at the back throughout 2025! However, yesterday was a very special day for them as Lucas di Grassi not only scored the team’s first points in Formula E, but also their maiden Podium too! That’s a pretty amazing moment for everyone involved with that team, and it’s also a nice moment for di Grassi who returns to the Podium for the first time since Mexico City 2023! Unfortunately, it wasn’t a fully perfect day for the team as Zane Maloney lost out on his first points due to a post-Race penalty, but still, what a terrific day for Lola Yamaha ABT, it’s amazing to see!
