The Premier League returns with two huge rivals colliding at Old Trafford as United host City in the Manchester Derby! Manchester United drew 2-2 with Burnley in their last league game before they lost at home to Brighton in the FA Cup, and they currently sit 7th in the table! When it comes to Manchester City, after drawing with Brighton in their last Premier League fixture, they’ve gone on to pick up strong wins over both Exeter and Newcastle in Cup competitions, and they currently find themselves second in the league! In their previous 41 meetings, Man United have had 15 wins compared to 20 wins for Man City! For Manchester United, this is going to be quite the opening test for new Caretaker Manager Michael Carrick! United are ranked 3rd in GPG (1.7), but they’re currently on a 4-game winless run in all competitions (3D,1L)! As for Manchester City, they need to win this game! City are ranked 1st in GPG (2.1), and their unbeaten streak currently stands at 13 games (10W,3D)!

My Prediction: 1-2

Chelsea VS Brentford

Liam Rosenior takes charge of his first Premier League game (as a Manager) as Chelsea host Brentford in a London Derby! After losing to Fulham in the PL, Chelsea have since gone on to beat Charlton 5-1 in the FA Cup before losing 3-2 to Arsenal in the Carabao Cup, and they currently sit 8th in the table! When it comes to Brentford, they’ve beaten both Sunderland and Sheffield Wednesday in their last couple of games, and they currently find themselves all the way up in 5th place! In their previous 13 meetings, Chelsea have won 5 times whilst Brentford have won 3 times! For Chelsea, they could really do with a win here! The Blues are ranked 5th in GPG (1.6), but they’re currently on a 5-game winless run in the league (3D,2L)! As for Brentford, they’re playing with a lot of confidence right now! The Bees are ranked 4th in GPG (1.7), and their unbeaten streak (in all competitions) currently stands at 6 games (5W,1D)!

My Prediction: 2-2

Leeds VS Fulham

Leeds lost dramatically at Newcastle in their last league game before they won 3-1 at Derby in the FA Cup, and they currently sit 16th in the table! When it comes to Fulham, they’ve won 2-1 against both Chelsea and Middlesbrough over the past couple of weeks, and they currently find themselves in 9th! In their previous 17 meetings, Leeds have won 4 times whilst Fulham have won 7 times (including the last 4 meetings)! For Leeds United, they’re just hoping that their late loss at Newcastle won’t affect them too much! The Whites are ranked 13th in GPG (1.4), and they currently have the 12th-best home record in the league! As for Fulham, they’re aiming to just keep winning! The Cottagers are ranked 11th in GPG (1.4), and they’re currently on a 6-game unbeaten run in all competitions (4W,2D)!

My Prediction: 1-1

Liverpool VS Burnley

Liverpool drew 0-0 at Arsenal before they thrashed Barnsley 4-1 in the FA Cup, and they currently sit 4th in the table! When it comes to Burnley, they drew 2-2 with Manchester United before they put 5 past Millwall in the Cup, but they do still currently find themselves inside the Relegation Zone (in 19th)! In their previous 17 meetings, Liverpool have won 13 games whilst Burnley have only won twice! For Liverpool, they should win this game comfortably! The Reds are ranked 8th in GPG (1.5), and they’re currently on an 11-game unbeaten run in all competitions (6W,5D)! As for Burnley, this is one of those games that could spark their resurgence! The Clarets are ranked 15th in GPG (1.0), and their winless streak in the league currently stands at 12 games (3D,9L)!

My Prediction: 2-1

Sunderland VS Crystal Palace

Sunderland lost comfortably at Brentford in their last league game before they beat Everton on penalties in the FA Cup, and they currently find themselves in 10th position! When it comes to Crystal Palace, after drawing 0-0 with Aston Villa, they suffered a shambolic cup exit at the hands of 6th-tier Macclesfield, and they currently sit 13th in the table! In their previous 9 meetings, both sides have won 3 games each! For Sunderland, they need to try and get back to winning ways in the league! The Black Cats are ranked 18th in GPG (1.0), and they’re currently on a 5-game winless league run (4D,1L)! As for Crystal Palace, they’re completely falling apart! The Eagles are ranked 15th in GPG (1.0), and their winless streak currently stands at 9 games (4D,5L)!

My Prediction: 2-0

Tottenham VS West Ham

Tottenham have lost to both Bournemouth and Aston Villa in recent weeks, and they currently sit 14th in the table! When it comes to West Ham, they suffered a tough 2-1 loss to Nottingham Forest in their last league game before they beat QPR 2-1 in the FA Cup, and they currently find themselves inside the Relegation Zone (in 18th)! In their previous 33 meetings, Spurs have won 15 games compared to 11 wins for West Ham! For Tottenham Hotspur, they absolutely should be winning this game! Spurs are ranked 11th in GPG (1.4), but they currently have the 4th-worst home record in the league! As for West Ham United, will they be able to take anything from their victory over QPR last weekend? The Hammers are ranked 15th in GPG (1.0), but their winless league streak currently stands at 10 games (4D,6L)!

My Prediction: 3-1

Nottingham Forest VS Arsenal

Arsenal’s next stop on their charge to the Premier League Title sees them head to Nottingham Forest for Saturday Night Football! Nottingham Forest picked up a crucial 2-1 win over West Ham in their last league game before they suffered a shock FA Cup exit at the hands of Championship Wrexham, and they currently sit 17th in the table! When it comes to Arsenal, after drawing 0-0 with Liverpool, they’ve since gone on to pick up strong away wins at both Portsmouth and Chelsea, and they currently lead the league (by 6 points)! In their previous 11 meetings, Forest have won 3 times whilst Arsenal have won 7 times! For Nottingham Forest, at least they’ve got some breathing space now! Forest are ranked 18th in GPG (1.0), and they currently have the 5th-worst home record in the league! As for Arsenal, they definitely don’t want to slip up here! The Gunners are ranked 2nd in GPG (1.9) and 1st in GCPG (0.7)!

My Prediction: 0-2

Wolves VS Newcastle

Wolves drew 1-1 at Everton before they put 6 past Shrewsbury in the FA Cup, but they do still currently find themselves bottom of the league! When it comes to Newcastle, after dramatically defeating Leeds 4-3 in their last league game, they’ve since gone on to beat Bournemouth on penalties (in the FA Cup) and lose to Manchester City 2-0 (in the Carabao Cup), and they currently sit 6th in the table! In their previous 22 meetings, Wolves have only won 3 times compared to Newcastle’s 10 wins! For Wolverhampton Wanderers, they just need to try and keep their unbeaten run going! Wolves are ranked 20th in GPG (0.7), but they’re currently on a 4-game unbeaten run in all competitions (2W,2D)! As for Newcastle United, they know that they should be winning this game! The Magpies are ranked 8th in GPG (1.5), and they’ve won each of their last 3 league games!

My Prediction: 1-2

Aston Villa VS Everton

Aston Villa know that they need to keep winning if they want any chance of fighting for this year’s Premier League crown! Aston Villa could only draw 0-0 at Crystal Palace in their last league game before they won 2-1 at Tottenham in the FA Cup, and they currently find themselves third in the league! When it comes to Everton, they’ve drawn 1-1 against both Wolves and Sunderland over the past couple of weeks (they lost to Sunderland on penalties), and they currently sit 12th in the table! In their previous 26 meetings, Villa have won 11 times whilst Everton have won 7 times! For Aston Villa, they should win this game! Villa are ranked 7th in GPG (1.6), and they currently have the third-best home record in the league! As for Everton, it really does feel like they’re not playing for much (which isn’t true)! The Toffees are ranked 14th in GPG (1.1), and they’ve only managed to win one of their last 7 games (in all competitions)!

My Prediction: 2-1

Brighton VS Bournemouth

Brighton drew 1-1 at Manchester City in their last league game before they won 2-1 at Manchester United in the FA Cup, and they currently find themselves 11th in the league! When it comes to Bournemouth, they finally got back to winning ways against Tottenham before they lost to Newcastle on penalties, and they currently sit 15th in the table! In their previous 21 meetings, Brighton have won 7 games compared to 10 wins for Bournemouth! For Brighton and Hove Albion, as the home team, they really should be winning this game! The Seagulls are ranked 10th in GPG (1.5), and they’re currently on a 4-game unbeaten run in all competitions (2W,2D)! As for AFC Bournemouth, they just need to win more Football matches! The Cherries are ranked 5th in GPG (1.6), and they currently have the 4th-worst away record in the league!

My Prediction: 1-1
