Liverpool 5-2 West Ham

Liverpool made it four wins in a row with a thumping victory over West Ham United! After just 5 minutes, Liverpool already had the lead through Hugo Ekitike, before Virgil van Dijk headed home to make it 2-0 after just 24 minutes! West Ham then had multiple moments where they came close to getting back into the game, before Alexis Mac Allister added a third just before halftime! 4 minutes into the second half, West Ham did have one back through Tomas Soucek, but the smiles wouldn’t last Cody Gakpo added another for Liverpool in the 70th minute! Another 5 minutes later, and a headed finish from Valentin Castellanos got another one back for West Ham, only for Axel Disasi to then put the ball into the back of his own net! Overall, this was an exciting game, and more importantly than that, another win for Liverpool! The Reds rise to 5th in the table, and their next game takes place tomorrow at Wolves! As for West Ham United, they couldn’t cope with set-pieces here! The Hammers remain inside the Relegation Zone (in 18th), and they’ll head to Fulham next time out!
Burnley 3-4 Brentford

Drama, drama, and even more drama led to Burnley fans being left heartbroken as Brentford scampered away with the victory! It only took 9 minutes for Brentford to take the lead through Mikkel Damsgaard, before Igor Thiago added a second in the 25th minute! In the 34th minute, it was 3-0 to the visitors as Kevin Schade scrambled the ball across the line, before Burnley were at least able to get something heading into halftime courtesy of a Michael Kayode own goal! Just 2 minutes into the second half, and Burnley had another one back through Jaidon Anthony (after the ball again struck Kayode) before the hosts were then incredibly back on level terms thanks to a strong headed finish by Zian Flemming! In the 79th minute, Burnley thought they’d completed the ultimate comeback when Flemming scored again, but his goal was ruled out for an incredibly harsh offside decision! These referees are killing this sport! Next, in the 93rd minute, Brentford somehow found themselves back in front as Mikkel Damsgaard’s brilliant afternoon continued! But then, in the 98th minute, the Burnley fans were celebrating again after Ashley Barnes found the back of the net, only for his goal to also be ruled out due to a handball during the build-up! In the end, this feels cruel on Burnley! The Clarets stay inside the Relegation Zone (in 19th), and they’ll head to Everton next time out! As for Brentford, wow, they got away with this one! The Bees remain 7th in the table, and their next game is a big one as they head to Bournemouth tomorrow night!
Newcastle 2-3 Everton

After just 19 minutes, Everton found themselves in front thanks to a really strong headed finish by Jarrad Branthwaite! In the 32nd minute, Newcastle were back on level terms as Jacob Ramsey’s effort took a fortunate deflection, only for Everton to retake the lead just 2 minutes later through Beto! What awful goalkeeping by Nick Pope! In the second half, Beto had a great chance to score again, but he could only smash the crossbar, before Newcastle were back on level terms in the 82nd minute as Jacob Murphy’s strike also took a deflection! But then, less than 60 seconds later, Everton had fired back once again as Thierno Barry scrambled the ball home! Sandro Tonali then fired a bullet late on, but he couldn’t believe his eyes as Jordan Pickford pulled out an astonishing save to tip the ball onto the crossbar! In the end, it’s another poor performance by Newcastle United! The Magpies drop to 13th in the table, and their next game sees them host Manchester United on Wednesday! As for Everton, what a strong win this is for them! The Toffees rise to 8th place, and they host Burnley next time out!
Arsenal 2-1 Chelsea

A nervy Arsenal managed to get over the line against 10-man Chelsea! After 21 minutes, it was Arsenal who found themselves in front as William Saliba headed home on the corner! Chelsea were then asking for a penalty after the ball struck the arm of Declan Rice, but nothing was given, before Chelsea were back on level terms right on halftime courtesy of a Piero Hincapie own goal! In the second half, Chelsea had another penalty claim thrown out by the referee, and I didn’t know that it was okay for a goalkeeper to take out a striker, but okay! Anyway, in the 66th minute, Arsenal were back in front as Jurrien Timber scored following another corner, and I have to say that the goalkeeping by Robert Sanchez is so poor! Just a few minutes later, Pedro Neto stupidly got himself sent off for a ridiculous challenge (whilst also being on a yellow card), before David Raya had to pull off a big save to deny Alejandro Garnacho! And then, in the 96th minute, Chelsea thought they’d potentially equalised through Liam Delap, but his goal was rightly ruled out for offside! Overall, whilst they barely managed to win this game, a win is all that matters for Arsenal right now! The Gunners remain top of the league (by 5 points), and they head to Brighton next time out! As for Chelsea, they had more than enough chances to get something from this game! The Blues drop to 6th in the table, and their next game is absolutely huge as they head to Aston Villa this Wednesday!
Fulham 2-1 Tottenham

After just 7 minutes, Fulham already found themselves in front as Harry Wilson fired the ball into the back of the net! In the 34th minute, Fulham’s lead was doubled courtesy of a wonderful finish by Alex Iwobi! Wow! Calvin Bassey then had a good chance to make it 3-0 right on halftime, but he failed to keep his effort down, before Emile Smith Rowe missed a golden chance early in the second half! Fulham then missed more chances to extend their lead, before Tottenham were able to get one back as Richarlison made it 2-1 in the 66th minute! However, it ultimately didn’t lead to anything more than a consolation goal for Spurs! Overall, Fulham destroyed their opponents here! The Cottagers rise to 9th place, and they’ll host West Ham next time out! As for Tottenham Hotspur, they’re beyond poor! Spurs stay 16th in the table, and their next game is a must-win at home to Crystal Palace on Thursday Night Football!
Brighton 2-1 Nottingham Forest

After just 6 minutes, Brighton were already in front as Diego Gomez drilled one home from the edge of the penalty area! I do think Matz Sels should’ve done better here, though! In the 13th minute, Nottingham Forest were back on level terms as Morgan Gibbs-White fired one home from distance, only for Danny Welbeck to restore Brighton’s advantage just 2 minutes later! Brighton then had a couple more chances to score, which they failed to take, before Taiwo Awoniyi missed a great opportunity to head Forest level late on! Overall, it’s now back-to-back wins for Brighton and Hove Albion! The Seagulls rise to 11th in the league, and their next game sees them host Arsenal on Wednesday! As for Nottingham Forest, they continue to remain just above the Relegation Zone! Forest stay 17th in the table, and they’ll head to Manchester City next time out!
Manchester United 2-1 Crystal Palace

A second-half comeback was enough for Manchester United to break into the Top 3! After just 4 minutes, it was Crystal Palace who found themselves in front courtesy of a wonderful headed finish by Maxence Lacroix! Bruno Fernandes then came close with a good free-kick effort, before Casemiro missed a great opportunity to level things up heading into halftime! In the 56th minute, Palace were down to 10-men as Lacroix was shown a straight red card, and this also led to Bruno Fernandes stepping up and scoring from 12 yards out to get Manchester United back on level terms! And then, in the 65th minute, Man United were fired in front as Benjamin Sesko headed home after a brilliant ball in by Fernandes! Overall, it’s another win for Michael Carrick’s Manchester United! United rise to third in the league, and their next game sees them head up to Newcastle! As for Crystal Palace, it was going so well for them too! The Eagles drop to 14th in the table, and they’ll head to Tottenham next time out!
Wolves 2-0 Aston Villa

Wolverhampton Wanderers earned just their second win of the season as local rivals Aston Villa continue to crumble! After both teams missed chances in the first half, it was Wolves who found themselves in front in the 61st minute courtesy of a great Joao Gomes finish! Ian Maatsen then had a decent opportunity to equalise for Aston Villa, but he could only guide his effort straight at Jose Sa, before Yerson Mosquera pulled off a big block to deny Amadou Onana! And then, in the 98th minute, Wolves’ win was secured as Rodrigo Gomes sent the Molineux into a frenzy! Overall, Wolverhampton Wanderers are officially not the worst team in Premier League history! Wolves remain bottom of the league, however, and they host Liverpool next time out! As for Aston Villa, this is a horrific result! Villa drop to 4th in the table, and their next game is a must-win against Chelsea!
Bournemouth 1-1 Sunderland

Sunderland looked like they should’ve been awarded a clear penalty after Alex Jimenez ran through the back of Enzo Le Fee, but somehow, nothing was given! These refs! Anyway, in the 18th minute, Sunderland would find themselves in front as Eliezer Mayenda tapped home on the rebound! Robin Roefs then pulled off a good double save to keep the game at 1-0, before Habib Diarra was denied by Djordje Petrovic! In the 63rd minute, Bournemouth were back on level terms courtesy of Evanilson, but I do have to question the positioning of Roefs! In the end, at least AFC Bournemouth’s unbeaten run will continue! The Cherries drop to 10th in the league, and they host Brentford tomorrow in what feels like another big game for them! As for Sunderland AFC, this is a decent point for them! The Black Cats remain 12th in the table, and they’ll head to Leeds next time out!
Leeds 0-1 Manchester City

Manchester City managed to scrape over the line for a key 3 points at the expense of Leeds United! Dominic Calvert-Lewin had a great chance to give Leeds the lead early on, but he failed to hit the target completely, before Calvert-Lewin missed again later on! Brenden Aaronson then found himself in on goal, but he wasn’t able to beat Gianluigi Donnarumma, before Karl Darlow made a great save to deny Nico O’Reilly! However, in additional time at the end of the first half, Manchester City were the ones who found themselves in front as Antoine Semenyo tapped home after a couple of brilliant passes during the buildup! In the second half, Darlow was able to pull off another strong save, this time to deny Marc Guehi, before Jaka Bijol came close to equalising late on! In the end, Leeds United will be kicking themselves that they lost this game! The Whites stay 15th in the table, and they’ll host Sunderland next time out! As for Manchester City, this is an important win for them! City remain second in the league (5 points off top), and their next game sees them host Nottingham Forest this Wednesday!
