Manchester United 3-1 Aston Villa

Another top display over Aston Villa put Manchester United into a great position in the Race for Champions League Football! Emi Martinez was forced into making a strong save to deny Amad Diallo in the first half, before Manchester United would take the lead 8 minutes into the second half through Casemiro! In the 64th minute, Aston Villa were back on level terms as Ross Barkley finished well, only for Matheus Cunha to restore Man United’s lead just 7 minutes later! And then, in the 81st minute, United’s victory was sealed courtesy of Benjamin Sesko! This was such a mess from a Villa point of view! Overall, this is a big 3 points for Manchester United! United remain third in the league, and they’ll head to Bournemouth next time out! As for Aston Villa, their poor league form shows no signs of stopping! Villa stay 4th in the table, and they have a big Europa League Second Leg tie with Lille upcoming before they host West Ham in their next league game!
Brentford 2-2 Wolves

After 22 minutes, it was Brentford who found themselves in front thanks to a nice headed finish by Michael Kayode! The ball in from Keane Lewis-Potter was also superb! In the 37th minute, Brentford’s lead was doubled as Igor Thiago tapped the ball home into the back of an empty net! Thiago then had another good opportunity to score, but this time he could only guide his effort onto the woodwork, before Wolves had a goal back right before halftime through Adam Armstrong! In the second half, Armstrong came so close to scoring again as his effort came back out off the post, before Wolves were back on level terms in the 77th minute courtesy of Tolu Arokodare! Less than 2 minutes after equalising, Arokodare was so unfortunate not to score again as his effort came crashing back out off the crossbar, before Reiss Nelson missed a golden opportunity to win the game for Brentford right at the death! In the end, this is very much two points dropped for Brentford! The Bees stay 7th in the table, and they head to Leeds next time out! As for Wolverhampton Wanderers, they’re clearly not done with ruining other teams’ seasons! Wolves remain bottom of the league, and they won’t play again until the 10th of April, when they will face West Ham in a huge Friday Night Football!
Arsenal 2-0 Everton

More late goals moved Arsenal another step closer to a first Premier League Title in over 20 years! Everton had a couple of good chances to take the lead in the first half, with Dwight McNeil smashing the post, before Kai Havertz’s claim for a penalty was quickly thrown out! Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall then forced a decent save out of David Raya, before Raya made a terrific second-half save to deny Beto! Eberechi Eze then came close late on, before finally, in the 89th minute, Arsenal found themselves in front through Viktor Gyokeres! What on earth was Jordan Pickford doing?! And then, in the 97th minute, Max Dowman made history to send the Emirates into raptures! Overall, Arsenal have done it again! The Gunners remain top of the league (now by 9 points), and they take on Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League tonight before a big Carabao Cup Final against Manchester City! As for Everton, they should never have lost this game! The Toffees stay 8th in the table, and they’ll host Chelsea next time out!
West Ham 1-1 Manchester City

1 shot was all that West Ham United needed to deal another big blow to Manchester City’s Title aspirations! After 31 minutes, it was Manchester City who found themselves in front thanks to a wonderful finish by Bernardo Silva! However, just 4 minutes later, West Ham were already back on level terms courtesy of a Konstantinos Mavropanos header! What was Gianluigi Donnarumma doing here?! Antoine Semenyo then had a great chance to put Man City back in front right on halftime, but he managed to miss the target completely, before Mads Hermansen made a decent save to deny Erling Haaland! Haaland then had another good chance to score, but he made an absolute mess of it, before Tijjani Reijnders struck the crossbar! And then, in the 95th minute, Marc Guehi was presented with a golden opportunity to gift City a much-needed victory, but he poorly blasted his effort over the crossbar! In the end, this is a really important point for West Ham United! The Hammers remain inside the Relegation Zone (in 18th), and they’ll head to Aston Villa next time out! As for Manchester City, their season is falling apart! City stay second in the league, and they have to face Real Madrid (in the Champions League), Arsenal (in the Carabao Cup Final), and Liverpool (in the FA Cup) all before their next Premier League fixture (against Chelsea)!
Liverpool 1-1 Tottenham

A 90th-minute equaliser could prove crucial for Tottenham Hotspur as Liverpool continue to drop points! After 18 minutes, it was Liverpool who found themselves in front as Dominik Szoboszlai scored yet another free-kick goal! I have to say, though, that unlike his ones against Arsenal and Manchester City, the goalkeeping here is incredibly poor! Anyway, Guglielmo Vicario did at least make up for things a little bit with a good save to tip Cody Gakpo’s effort onto the post, before Richarlison missed a couple of decent chances at the end of the first half! In the second half, Richarlison was again denied by Alisson, before Vicario made an important save to deny Mohamed Salah from doubling Liverpool’s advantage! And then, in the 90th minute, Richarlison finally got his goal to rescue a crucial point in Tottenham’s fight for survival! In the end, this is so poor from a Liverpool perspective! The Reds actually rise to 5th in the league (amazingly), and they have an important Champions League game against Galatasaray tomorrow before they head to Brighton in their next league game! As for Tottenham Hotspur, this is a really big point for them! Spurs stay 16th in the table, and they have a massive week incoming with home games against both Atletico Madrid and Nottingham Forest!
Chelsea 0-1 Newcastle

Chelsea’s Champions League hopes took a big hit as Newcastle United earned a strong away win! Wesley Fofana wasn’t a million miles away from giving Chelsea the lead early on, before Cole Palmer had a great opportunity, which he completely scuffed! In the 18th minute, it was Newcastle who found themselves in front as Anthony Gordon was there to tap the ball into the back of an empty net! In the second half, Gordon forced a decent save out of Robert Sanchez to keep the game at just 0-1, before Liam Delap wasted a really good opportunity to equalise! Trevoh Chalobah then missed a strong chance of his own, before Reece James smashed the post with a stoppage-time free-kick! In the end, this isn’t good from Chelsea at all! The Blues drop to 6th place, and they have a mountain to climb against PSG tonight before they head to Everton for this weekend’s Saturday Night Football! As for Newcastle United, this is a crucial win for them! The Magpies rise to 9th in the table, and they’re set for a big week with games against Barcelona and Sunderland!
Sunderland 0-1 Brighton

Jack Hinshelwood should’ve given Brighton the lead early on, but his effort was somehow saved by Melker Ellborg, before Pascal Gross came within a whisker of scoring just moments later! Lewis Dunk then pulled off a great goal-line defensive block to stop Chemsdine Talbi from putting Sunderland in front, before Brighton would find themselves in front in the 58th minute through Yankuba Minteh! Minteh’s terrible connection on the ball is actually what helped him here! Omar Alderete then came close to equalising for Sunderland, but his effort was saved well by Bart Verbruggen! In the end, it’s another home defeat for Sunderland AFC! The Black Cats drop to 13th in the table, and their next game is a massive one away at Newcastle! As for Brighton and Hove Albion, this is a good win for them! The Seagulls rise to 12th in the league, and they’ll host Liverpool next time out!
Nottingham Forest 0-0 Fulham

Elliot Anderson made a mess of a good opportunity to give Nottingham Forest the lead early on, before Calvin Bassey headed a great chance straight at Matz Sels! In the second half, Nottingham Forest were awarded a penalty, only for the decision to be quickly overturned for offside! Ola Aina was then extremely unlucky as he smashed the crossbar, before Dan Ndoye thought he’d given Forest the lead, only for his goal to be ruled out for an incredibly tight offside call! Sasa Lukic then had a chance to win the game for Fulham, but he failed to guide his effort on target! In the end, this will feel like a frustrating result for Nottingham Forest! Forest remain 17th in the table, and they have to try and turn things around d in Midtjylland on Thursday before a proper Relegation 6-pointer against Tottenham! As for Fulham, of course they didn’t win this game! The Cottagers drop to 11th in the table, and they’ll host Burnley next time out!
Crystal Palace 0-0 Leeds

Brenden Aaronson had a good chance to give Leeds the lead early on, but he could only manage to scuff his effort wide of the target, before Walter Benitez was called into making a couple of decent saves! Right before halftime, Leeds were awarded a penalty after a handball by Will Hughes, but shockingly, Dominic Calvert-Lewin managed to miss the target completely! What a shambolic penalty! Then, to make matters worse, Gabriel Gudmundsson was shown a second yellow card in the 5th minute of stoppage time, but he only went off the pitch when the referee remembered that he’d already booked him! What on earth is happening here?! The referee then showed more incompetence in the second half when he didn’t show a second yellow card to Brennan Johnson, before Jefferson Lerma’s winning goal was ruled out for offside during the build-up! In the end, Crystal Palace simply weren’t good enough to take advantage of having an extra player on the pitch! The Eagles drop to 14th place, and they face AEK Larnaca in the Conference League this Thursday before getting a 3-week break ahead of facing Newcastle in their next league game! As for Leeds United, whilst they will feel hard done by here, they missed a penalty! The Whites stay 15th in the table, and they’ll host Brentford next time out!
Burnley 0-0 Bournemouth

Bashir Humphreys did well to block Evanilson’s shot from going into the back of the net, before Jaidon Anthony smashed the crossbar from close range! In the second half, Anthony failed to score yet again, this time thanks to a brilliant block by Adam Smith, before Marcus Tavernier struck the post for Bournemouth! Zian Flemming then missed a decent chance to score; he couldn’t keep his headed effort down, before Enes Unal missed a great chance to win the game in stoppage time! In fact, David Brooks arguably had an even better opportunity to win it late on, but he too failed to hit the target! In the end, it’s another game where Burnley have missed plenty of chances! The Clarets remain inside the Relegation Zone (in 19th), and they’ll head to Fulham next time out! As for AFC Bournemouth, it’s another draw for them! The Cherries drop to 10th in the table, and their next game sees them host Manchester United on this weekend’s Friday Night Football!
