Rayan would then miss a good opportunity to get Bournemouth back into the game, before Emi Martinez made a couple of important saves! Less than a minute into the second half, it was 3-0 as Joao Pedro found the back of the net, before Bournemouth were at least able to get one back in the 51st minute through Evanilson! However, in the 67th minute, Pedro had his second goal of the game, whilst Henderson scored again with a great free-kick to make it 5-1 to the hosts! Overall, this is more like it from Chelsea! The Blues rise to 6th in the league, and they’ll head to Everton next time out! As for AFC Bournemouth, they’re really struggling right now! The Cherries now find themselves inside the Relegation Zone (in 18th), and they have a big week incoming with home games against both Sturm Graz and Sunderland!

Newcastle United suffered another horrendous Monday Night at the hands of an emphatic Coventry City! After just a few minutes, Coventry were already awarded a penalty after Lukas Hornicek brought down Sidiki Cherif (after making a mistake beforehand)! Jack Rudoni would then step up and score to give Coventry the lead inside 6 minutes! Bobby Thomas then pulled off a great last-ditch block to stop Matias Fernandez-Pardo from equalising before Coventry found themselves 2-0 up just 3 minutes into the second half courtesy of Sidiki Cherif! In the 70th minute, Newcastle were able to get one back as Sven Botman scored a fantastic strike from distance, only for Ellis Simms to make it 3-1 in the 81st minute, just 3 minutes after coming on! Now yes, there was a big deflection here, but what on earth was Joelinton doing?! Brandon Thomas-Asante would then see his effort come back out off the post, before Stephen Mfuni made it 4-1 in the 86th minute! Overall, what a special night for everyone connected with Coventry City! The Sky Blues now find themselves 14th in the table, and their next game is a huge one away at Tottenham next Monday! As for Newcastle United, what are they doing?! The Magpies drop to 11th place, and they’ll host Aston Villa next time out!

Oliver Glasner’s return to Selhurst Park didn’t exactly go to plan as Crystal Palace came out victorious over Nottingham Forest! After less than 3 minutes, Nottingham Forest already found themselves in front as Dan Ndoye scored following a terrible headed pass by Anan Khalaili! Matz Sels then pulled off a decent save to keep Jorgen Strand Larsen’s effort out, before Walter Benitez made a massive save to deny Ndoye a second! Daniel Munoz then missed a great opportunity to score against his former club, whilst Liam Delap missed an absolute sitter after Morgan Gibbs-White’s effort struck the crossbar! How many chances did Forest want to miss?! In the 41st minute, the game was all square again as Daichi Kamada found the back of the net, before Jefferson Lerma headed Crystal Palace into the break ahead with a goal in the 4th minute of first-half stoppage time! Insane! In the second half, Gibbs-White’s deflected effort hit the post before Yeremi Pino scored on the rebound in the 59th minute to seal all 3 points for Palace! After just 10 minutes, Brentford already found themselves in front as Yehor Yarmoliuk found the back of the net following a cheap loss of possession by Aston Villa! However, less than 2 minutes later, Aston Villa were already back on level terms as Nicolas Jackson was in the right place at the right time to score the equaliser! Caoimhín Kelleher then made a decent save to parry out Johan Manzambi’s effort (which Emi Buendia subsequently blasted over the bar), before Nicolas Jackson wasted a great opportunity to send Villa into the break in front! Kelleher would then pull off a great double save to deny both Jackson and John McGinn, before Zion Suzuki made a decent save to deny Kevin Schade! Then, in the 77th minute, Villa found themselves in front as John McGinn scored following a helpful deflection off Kristoffer Ajer! Brennan Johnson thought he’d given Everton the lead in the first half, but his goal was rightly ruled out for offside, before Thierno Barry headed a good opportunity over just before halftime! Just 3 minutes into the second half, it was Hull who found themselves in front as Joe Gelhardt finished well following a great pass by Sorba Thomas! However, just 7 minutes later, Everton were already back on level terms as Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall headed home following a great ball in from Ainsley Maitland-Niles! Barry then missed another great chance to give Everton the lead, before the visitors found themselves in front in the 68th minute as Thierno Barry finally got his goal! But then, in the 74th minute, Mohamed Belloumi found the back of the net to secure a share of the points for Hull! I’ll be honest, I think Jordan Pickford should’ve done better here! In the end, it’s another point on the board for Hull City! The Tigers stay 8th in the table, and they’ll head to Fulham next time out! As for Everton, they remain unbeaten! The Toffees rise to 5th in the league, and their next game is a big one at home against Chelsea!

On a very loud Sunday afternoon, it was Manchester City who showed their class to thump Liverpool at Anfield! After not much happened in the first half, Lewis Koumas forced a decent save out of Gianluigi Donnarumma, before Erling Haaland missed a great opportunity to put Manchester City in front! The big turning point of the game then occurred when Ryan Gravenberch was sent off for a second bookable offense, before Erling Haaland wasn’t to miss again just moments later! In the 68th minute, Man City’s lead would double through a brilliant strike from Jeremy Doku, before Rayan Cherki made it 3-0 with a pretty sensational team goal! In the end, Liverpool’s fear factor at Anfield feels like a distant memory! The Reds drop to 9th in the table, and they’ll head to LASK on Wednesday in the Champions League ahead of a key away trip to Brentford! As for Manchester City, they showed their class here! City remain top of the league, and they’ll host both PSG and Ipswich across the next week!

Arsenal came from behind to beat Leeds United on the Premier League’s return! Kai Havertz had a decent opportunity early on, but he could only head the ball straight at James Trafford, before David Raya made a good save to keep Gabriel Gudmundsson’s effort out! Early in the second half, Martin Odegaard was unable to guide his effort past Trafford, before Leeds found themselves in front in the 55th minute through James Justin! However, Arsenal were already back on level terms just 7 minutes later as Riccardo Calafiori found the back of the net, and if I’m being honest, James Trafford really should’ve kept this one out! And then, in the 70th minute, Bruno Guimaraes fired the ball home to complete the Champions’ comeback! Overall, this is an important win for Arsenal! The Gunners remain second in the league, and they’re hosting Lille in the Champions League tonight, before an away trip to Nottingham Forest! As for Leeds United, their unbeaten start to the season has finally ended! The Whites drop to 7th in the table, and they’ll host Manchester United in another big game next time out!

Fulham’s horrible start to the season continued as Ipswich Town staged a rather late comeback! Julio Enciso wasn’t a million miles away with his long-range effort, before Issa Diop pulled off a key block to keep Gonzalo Garcia’s effort out! However, in the 55th minute, Fulham would find themselves in front as Ryan Sessegnon fired one in from distance! Great goal! Emersonn then missed a great opportunity to equalise moments later; his headed effort came back out off the post, before Oscar Bobb wasted a massive opportunity down at the other end! In the 88th minute, Ipswich were back on level terms as Abdoul Ouattara scored a beauty from distance! And then, in the 92nd minute, Ipswich completed the comeback of all comebacks thanks to a great headed finish by Dara O’Shea, whilst Christian Walton would then pull off a great save to deny Kevin a last-gasp equaliser! In the end, what a great start to the season Ipswich Town are having! The Tractor Boys rise to 10th in the table, and they’ll head to Manchester City next time out! As for Fulham, how have they let this game go?! The Cottagers now find themselves bottom of the league, and they simply have to beat Hull at home on Saturday!

Robin Roefs made a decent save early on to keep Diego Gomez’s effort out, before Wilson Isidor struck the post! Ferdi Kadioglu then pulled off a great block to deny Thomas Meunier, before Pascal Struijk hit the post in first-half stoppage time! In the 53rd minute, Brighton were the ones who found themselves in front as Maxim De Cuyper finished well! However, just a few minutes later, Brighton would find themselves down to 10 men as Pascal Struijk was shown a straight red card for the denial of a clear goal-scoring opportunity! However, in the 93rd minute, it was Brighton who showed their class as Jaouen Hadjam found the back of the net to seal all 3 points for the visitors! In the end, it’s not been the easiest start to the season for Sunderland AFC! The Black Cats drop to 17th in the table, and they’ll head to Portugal to take on Torreense in the Europa League on Thursday ahead of an important away trip to Bournemouth! As for Brighton and Hove Albion, they’re finally being both clinical and consistent! The Seagulls remain third in the league, and their next week sees them play host to both FK Kauno Zalgiris (from Lithuania) and Crystal Palace!

Manchester United 1-1 Tottenham

Despite having a man advantage, Manchester United once again failed to take advantage as a late equaliser rescued Tottenham Hotspur a much-needed point! Dominic Solanke had a good chance to give Tottenham the lead early on, but he was unable to guide his effort past Senne Lammens, before Mohammed Kudus missed a great opportunity, firing just wide of the target! In the second half, Solanke missed another good chance to score, before Manchester United were the ones who broke the deadlock through Bryan Mbeumo! Then, just 5 minutes later, things got even worse for Tottenham as Rodrigo Bentancur was shown a straight red card for violent conduct! But then, in the 92nd minute, Dominic Solanke was finally able to find the back of the net to rescue a point for Spurs! In the end, Manchester United are simply awful! United drop to 13th in the table, and they’ve got to face Atletico Madrid away from home tonight, before another away trip to Leeds! As for Tottenham Hotspur, they should’ve won this game, although rescuing a point with one less player is a good effort! Spurs remain inside the Relegation Zone (now in 19th, at least), and they’ll host Coventry next time out in what already feels like some sort of a Relegation 6-pointer!
